My boyfriend and I came in on a Thursday around 12:30pm. The place was empty so we were seated immediately. We ordered the palaak paneer, lamb masala, the A5 momo, samosas, chicken biryani and garlic naan. The samosas came first and they were super hot and fresh, a little on the spicy side. Then came the momo which came on a super hot and sizzling plate. Those were probably my favorite thing there. They were super meaty and seasoned great and had lots of onions underneath and I love onions with Indian food. After that, we got the biryani rice, the masala, and the paneer. I thought that the rice was super yummy. It had these crunchy onion pieces that added a fun texture to it. On the other hand, we weren't huge fans of the masala and the paneer. They were a little different than what we normally expect from Indian food. The masala didn't have much spice and sorta had this fruity taste. The paneer felt kinda plain and lacked the amount of spinach my boyfriend normally likes. The inside is super clean and has two TVs. The bathroom is super far in the back which was a little scary, but it was super clean and nice. Overall, would we come back? Sure. Yes!! This is a small, clean restaurant that looks unassuming but the flavors pack a bunch! We had chicken steamed momo, eggplant curry, lamb coconut curry, raita, roti, and rice. Everything was so well-spiced and flavorful. We couldn't pick a favorite! I've grown up eating momos and never had any so flavorful. I can't wait to go back and try a whole new set of dishes! This is my second time here and my first experience was great. The momos are delicious steamed and would definitely get this again. This time around I wanted to try something new. I called in my order for pick up. It was a cold and windy day so I wanted to try their chicken chili. Please excuse my ignorance as I thought the "chili" meant something similar to ground meat with beans. I was thinking, what a perfect meal to keep me warm and full. WRONG. My mouth was burning and I didn't eat much of my meal. I should have asked what it was first before ordering it blindly. Upon first glance, the chicken dish looked like a sweet and sour dish except it had chili peppers and chili flakes alongside stewed tomatoes, green bell peppers and onions. It was a la cart- no starch/rice at all that comes with it. It was beautifully plated yet scary at the same time. I had some rice at home and scooped it with the chicken, I took a small bite and i immediately tasted the "chili". It was too spicy for my liking. If you like spicy, you'll enjoy this. Minus the spice, it definitely had great flavor. If it came in mild, I would get it again. It was seasoned well and the chicken was soft. Overall, I still give the food four stars. We were pleasantly surprised that everything was delicious, fresh, and well executed. I made a date with a girlfriend to go there this evening, but turns out, they're closed on Wednesdays. I randomly found this place on yelp when doing a search for Indian Chinese Cuisine. The food was delicious. They have all the staples, fried rice, soups, momos, chowmein. My pick was the Jhol Chicken Momo, which came with minced chicken and vegetables, along with a soupy tomato chutney on the side. Eggplant, spicy and hot, lingering and well paired with the basmati rice to tame the heat; really enjoyable. MOMOS were a new experience, ordered veggie with a tasty tika masala sauce and could not handle how sweet they were. Reeked of baked sugar, joked they reminded me of being in a waffle house. Maybe this is how they are supposed to be- over-the-top and rubbery. In any case, found them mostly too sweet, inedibly tough, chewy, and heavy handed. More used to delicate Chinese dim sum and Japanese Gyoza textures and subtlety. As a side note, they were not able to produce the listed beers- switched to wines- not jolly. Got takeout and the only downside was having to wait over 25 minutes for food for a group of 4 when the place was mostly empty around 6. I have been enjoying Samikcha Momo ever since they opened about 2 years ago. I have introduced many friends to Samikcha Momo and everyone found dishes they enjoyed. I can't go there without ordering the steamed chicken momos, the lamb saag curry, and the veggie fried rice (which used to be called veggie bhaat). All totally delicious! My friends enjoyed the fried momos and those are good too, but I'm trying to be conscientious about my health, so I'm sticking with the steamed ones. They are more than wonderful! read more

The Nepalese pot stickers are the best; we chose the paneer filling with smooth cheese & spices; it is mildly spicy, giving a kick but not overwhelmingly. The chicken momos are among the best with a not too thick or thin wrapper & wonderfuol ground chicken filling with spices. rasamalai with cardimum, rose water, nuts,, milk, & lime; a very smooth nutty taste with lime not overwhelming it all, but subtle.
