Peter's crew with Sampson Tree Service came out today to take care of the Areca Palm clusters that died from the freeze in my backyard, and their work was outstanding. They also cleaned up the remaining Areca growth, and now my yard looks completely brand new. Their attention to detail is impressive -- they clean up so thoroughly you'd never even know they were here. I was also impressed with the grapple truck operator- nothing was left behind. Contacted Sampson's and spoke with Haillee who was extremely helpful! Owner Kyle came to our home as scheduled and diagnosed the problem with our 30 year old magnolia and sadly, we needed tree removal. Crew arrived as schedule and in short order the tree was removed, carted away and stump ground. Work was efficient and all staff members knowledgeable and pleasant - happy staff! I contacted Sampson Tree Services last week about our large oak tree that needs major trimming. An estimator came out the next day and said she would send over the estimate that afternoon. When it did not come by the next day, I called to find out why I hadn't heard anything. I was told that the owner, Kyle, would get back with me. Well, it's been a week and not a peep from them. Very unprofessional and not a great way to run a business. At the very least they could just tell me they don't want the job! read more

Sampson Tree Service trimmed three of my fox tail palms this morning and did an excellent job! They also cleaned up the area and removed the palm frons. I highly recommend them and as far as I am concerned, they are reasonably priced and is the best tree company around. read more

About 2 months ago, I had Sampson Tree Service remove a huge Washingtonian palm tree from my front yard. I could not believe the wonderful job they did! They had a good crew of people there, with everyone knowing exactly what their part was. The lady who supervised the work couldn't have been more pleasant to work with. The man who actually got on the machine and went up to cut down the tree in stages was very obviously a professional who had experience in this sort of work. They didn't mind that I was taking pictures as the job proceeded. The price was very fair. I highly recommend this company! read more

I initially contacted Sampson Tree Service in April to finish trimming a large oak in my front yard (the first company that attempted to trim the tree did a horrible job which wasn't completed). We scheduled for the end of May (as Sampson was booked up and I needed to coordinate with work, so that I could be home - due to horrible experience with first company). I took the morning off of work to be present. The first appointment was cancelled due to rain. I received a call from Sampson 20 minutes after appointment time to cancel and reschedule. After coordinating with my job, I reschedule for the end of June for anytime after 1:00pm. I received a call the day prior to appointment to confirm for the following morning. I restated that I needed an appointment after 1:00pm, and office was willing and able to oblige. Unfortunately, Florida has been having a very rainy Spring/Summer. It was raining again, so appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for first thing the following morning. Tina's crew came out the following morning. Staff was punctual and professional. Tina was wonderful. Listened to my concerns and got the job done. We had a few miscommunications, but overall the office staff was very accommodating and the field crew was excellent. read more

You have to give at least one star in order to post a review otherwise I would not have selected one. I can't give any stars because I did not hire this company after meeting Juan. The estimator\arborist needs a course from Dale Carnegie on how to handle customers. He would not let me talk -at all- or explain the situation without immediate and constant interruption. This conversation style gave us no chance to work something out as far as developing a fruitful working relationship. He asked me if I owned homes in the neighborhood but wouldn't explain why he asked me that. I am a property manager for 40+ homes of snowbirds. I network with other property managers and combined we have 300+ properties all over the treasure coast, Jupiter to Vero. I personally currently have at least a dozen properties that require trimming over the next few months. We were hoping to find a specific company to come annually. Unfortunately for Sampson it won't be with them. read more

New to area. Needed large palm tree cut down. 3 appointments made, 3 no-shows, 3 no calls. Called again to vent. Finally showed up. Stump grinding was supposed to be done next day. Over week later, still calling about THAT. Stated that I had read reviews and this seemed to be a common complaint and I expected them to be here in the next couple of days. They did show up, took care of the stump. Clean up both visits was fine. Now, 8/18 they are coming again to cut 15 trees and FPL has to be here too to cut the power. I have confirmed that Sampson will be here. Waiting to hear back on my message to FPL to confirm as they made the appointment. We'll see if everyone is here on Friday. Good thing I work from home because if I had had to leave work three or four times for no shows, I would have made a hell of a racket more than I did. read more

I have to give credit to a company that takes responsibility for accidents that result from their work. Nov 7,2019 my husband was driving on St Lucie West Blvd as Sampson was trimming trees on the median. Just as my husband passed, a tree limb dropped, knocking the driver's side mirror off the vehicle and causing scrapes and scratches along the driver's side of the car. The Sampson supervisor on site took immediate responsibility for the accident, gave my husband his card and the office contact information. He also gave him a card for Manny's Collision, telling him to take the car there for an estimate, they would take care of the full bill. We have dealt with Manny's before, and have been very happy with their work. So, here we are 11 days post accident, and we just picked the car up. Manny's did beautiful work, and Sampson paid the bill in full, no questions asked, no argument. Accidents can happen to anyone, but it is rare to find a company that remedies the damage without argument. Thank you to Sampson Tree Services for standing up and taking responsibility! read more

I used Sampson Tree to remove 11 large slash pines that were dead or dying from southern pine beetle infestation. It's rare to hire a contractor and get a perfect job (or even a good job), but that's exactly what I got. There was a crew of around 15. Everyone was extremely polite, and extremely careful. I can't really understand how they could remove these very large trees from areas also containing other trees without even the slightest damage, honestly, I can hardly find a small branch that is broken. And the price was far, far less than I expected, I'm amazed that they could do it for this price. I hope that I never have to cut a tree down again, but if I do there is absolutely no question that I will hire Sampson again. This was a great experience, and I couldn't recommend them more highly. read more

I signed a contract on 4/7 to have 2 trees trimmed. This would be the 10th year in a row I have used them. They never called me back so on 4/11 I called them again. We scheduled them for 4/18 at 8:30 AM but the scheduling lady said she would call me back on 4/8 to reconfirm. It was critical for me to get the work done by 4/18 as I head north right after that. She never called. I called her on 4/16 but they had already closed for the weekend. Today, 4/18, they did not show up at 8:30 so at 9 I called them again. I was told they had some jobs to finish and would be at my house between 11 and 12. Great I have wasted the whole morning. At 1 PM no one had shown up so I called them again. After putting me on hold the lady said they were having trouble on a job but would try and get to me by the end of the day. Great I have now wasted the whole day. I was then told they wanted to reschedule to Wednesday 4/20. No way. So in summary I arranged for the service 2 weeks in advance, I never once received a follow up call from them and I had to contact them 4 times to keep the schedule in tact. Now I am forced to find someone to do the work in the next 3 days before I head north. The absolute worst customer service I have even experienced read more
