Visited Paris for the New Year and stayed in the Montmartre district.....that's where we found this gem!
Samrana is an experience far different than any other place in Paris. In the Sacre-Couer district, nice big restaurant that offers many tables and chairs for inside dining. We were greeted at the door the first time we went to have dinner, staff was pleasant and spoke good English...PLUS!
First stop:
We ordered the Beef Vindaloo and the chicken with veggie rice bowl, with garlic naan bread...Yummy! The rice was cooked with raisins and saffron....so tender. The chicken was cooked in a mild level of seasoning with tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. The Beef Vindaloo was braised tenderly with tender potatoes in a rich gravy to top the meal. The garlic naan was amazingly fresh served with 3 sauces; hot (and they mean hot, sweet, and green avacoadoish sweet sauce). What...no pictures???? Well ok, we'll take a hit for the team and go again!
This time I checked in and took pictures.
Second stop:
Once again greeted at the door, and served quick.
this time we ordered cheese naan and garlic naan, Chicken tiki marsala, and the beef vindaloo again.
This is hands down THE best Beef Vindaloo we have ever had! And the chicken tiki marsala was fabulous. Everything tender, seasoned great, such taste to the meal.
I urge everyone to eat at this place when in Paris......it will be you best meal there! read more
