This is a busy Sam's! It may not be the most organized and clean, but the staff and customers are pretty nice! Offerings had all I need as a long time Sam's customer and one who is visiting the neighborhood. Besides obvious cleanliness and organization (items and debris in aisles, not used areas, the gas station had some pumps not working. The lines were quite long to fill up. read more

This is one of my favorite Sam's! Not only is it full of nice Mississippi people but this store is always clean. On those rare occasions where I will come here on the weekends it is still manageable and not exceedingly crowded like most Sam's. I still wonder why Sam's doesn't offer bags to their customers. I know most of their products are pretty big comparatively to your local grocery store but at least offer big bags so that you can bag some of your items. read more

I signed up last night via email for the $19.99 Sam's club membership. It instructed me to come to the store and give them my phone number. First they couldn't find it and then they told me well we don't have any Sam's club's cards all we can do is give you a piece of paper or you can sign up for the shop and go and enter your credit card. I do not enter my credit card information on my cell phone. And I asked her I said so how long are you going to be without cards because this is totally useless for me as far as getting fuel her response was she had no clue but I could go to another Sam's club and get a card. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of decades you're probably well aware of what a Sam's Club is all about. This Sam's is just like all the other clubs in existence with a few exceptions. The highlights of my visit can be summed up into three categories that I will list below. Parking: The parking here is not particularly good. I happened to be in a rental vehicle with very limited visibility when I visited. All of the spots were angled, nose-in, spots which prevented me from backing in (Just do it. It's the best way to park). It was easy to pull in, but backing out was a nerve racking experience. Eliminating the neutral ground between parking lanes would allow drivers afraid of backing in to pull through. That, or maybe having straight non-angled spots. Items: This is where Sam's shines. There are so many items and deals that I was like a kid in a candy store. A kid in a candy store until I was approached by a cell phone, or TV salesperson with a hard sell. Seriously bro, slow your roll. I have a phone. Angry old lady: This is the part of my visit that really chapped my hide. Chapped my hide to the point that ole John LH nearly told an old lady to shove her samples where the sun don't shine. But I didn't because I respect my elders and whatnot. So here's what happened: The lady was working a sample booth and I decided it was something my oldest may like (maybe cheesecake or something). She had never experienced the Sam's sample cart so she had no idea what to do. As we walked up the scavengers had taken about 20 samples in less than five seconds. The lady was struggling to keep up with the demand. She put a few pieces on a plate and so my daughter reached for one. The lady lost her shit, swatted my daughter's hand away, and yelled at her. Apparently she wasn't allowed to take a sample until they were all put out. My daughter immediately broke into tears and my blood began to boil. We walked away and I avoided what surely would have ended poorly and more likely as a viral video when the old lady stabbed me or something. In hindsight it was a valuable teaching lesson for my kid and me. Leave the samples to the vultures. So what is the point of this rambling and somewhat incoherent review? This Sam's sucks. Well I wanted an updated review and I will still say I still love this store. The snack bar is somewhat disgusting but in their defense people are slobs lol. I got a tv and surround system today and the guy took it to my car for me then proceeded to tell me how to do the cords for the best sound. He has helped me before and I'm just sorry I think of his name. I hate that! But he rocks and the girls checking me out are always super sweet. So happy SAMs is in the neighborhood. read more

I've been going to Sam's Club forever and with the new Sam's Club opening north of I-10, will continue by bulk buying there. Now I know most people don't agree with me on the bulk buying, but when it comes to electronics, office supplies or just plain old impulse buys, Sam's is the place. While the lines sometimes get long and they don't offer bags for your stuff, it sure beats the parking debacle that takes place at Walmart across the street. It never fails, I will be heading to Walmart, get frustrated by the traffic and end up at Sam's Club. With proper planning and plenty of Zip Lock bags,shopping at Sam's Club can save you time and money. read more

My wife took a liking to a pair of earrings and requested a closer look. Associate Beth was happy to comply and probably the reason we purchased the earrings. Sams Club is great to shop at when buying for a big family. The cart sizes are great. Good selection and sometimes getting new things to try is exciting. However, the absolute most annoying part of the whole shopping experience is going out and now going in. I'm harassed coming in now in addition to when leaving the store. Understanding the company doesn't want people just leaving with random food that they didn't pay for, but my god they need to hire more greeters. Standing in line waiting to leave a grocery store after hauling a mountain of food around the ginormous warehouse is beyond exhausting. There is one person "reading" a receipt and scanning an item to make sure no one stole while a line of people start to look like we are trying to get into an amusement park. It's just annoying. And NOW I have to show my Membership card going into the store; like I was going to be able to buy something anyway. Does this make sense to anyone else? Anyway... great place to shop. OUCH. This is what your wallet will scream to you when you are walking to your SUV pushing a cart full of 10 gallon pickle buckets, a 30 case of Monster energy drank, and four gallons of mayo. Dont forget the 5 lb sack of cheese. But there are good values to have here...check out the clothing! Members-Only jackets for five bucks? COOL! Lots of yummy foods were out as samples today. We got the Cupcakes today for our kids Easter party. Cupcakes were fresh and yummy like always. We are very happy with this Sams club. I love the deals I find at Sam's! My family uses Sam's to stock up on non-perishables, cleaning supplies, paper goods and meats. I also used Sam's during events because it's cheaper to buy in bulk. It's always crowded and the lines are long, but this can be expected from wholesale markets. Employees are friendly and customer service is quick to answer questions or replace cards. The membership dues are cheap, and definitely worth the money after you compare savings! read more

Terrible experience at Sams Club in Gulfport today. What is a usually problem free experience was an outright disaster today. First, The cashier screwed up on the count of a couple of items when asked about it she corrected it only to screw it up further. Thinking it was correct I went to the door where the lady checking my receipt and basket caught the errors. She asked me to get back in the checkout line and have the lady fix it that messed it up. For this to be their mistake and I have to spend my time (15 minutes) fixing it is unacceptable. Everyone makes mistakes but this time the cashier, the check out manager and the CS lady at the door screwed up. Think I'm done with Sams. Amazon, here we come!!! read more

I love shopping at Sam's club, well worth the $50 a year. The selection at this particular Sam's is pretty good, not the biggest or most stocked store I have been in, but it's definitely not lacking in the variety of items. They do instant savings each month, and they also do price cuts often. We save money by buying big packs of meat and splitting them up into food saver bags. The samples they give are nice as well, not just food but cleaning products and paper products as well. I have been in some stores in bigger areas that do things like fresh squeezed orange juice and making fresh tortillas, I wish they would do that at this location. The cafe is also a nice feature as you can get a slice of pizza or pretzel and a drink for under $3. The cafe was closed yesterday due to a problem with the water pipes, so they had to shut down, bummer, but it happens. Overall I really like this store. read more

Got here at 12 oclock to the tire dept to get a PATCH in my tire. 3 hours later i am still waiting. This is the most Idiotically ran place i have ever seen. Employees look at you stupid when you ask after three hours the situation. I could see if i am getting tires and a front end allignment but a patch takes 10 minutes. I have a business membership and I depend heavily on Sam's Club for my business. I own restaurants in the area and Sam's "Click-&-Pull" system is the best. I simply go on line, create a shopping list, one time, and each time I shop just put in the quantities that I need and click send. That night, they (usually Ed & Jamario) pull the entire order, no matter what size, and put it all on carts for me to just come in, pay for and wheel out to my truck. Doesn't matter if it's frozen ice cream, refrigerated milk, or dry goods. It's all kept safe and temp controlled. This service has saved me an amazing amount of money and time. I walk in, scan my card at a kiosk and they immediately go and pull my order. All of the people that work there have bent over backwards to take care of me thru the years. Beth, & Liz the shift managers are amazing, Ebony in customer service, Matt, Ann the cashier, all of them. I've never had a bad experience. Not everything always goes perfect all of the time, but they are always willing to fix it! These guys are my favorite vendor. read more
