The food court is ALWAYS out of something simple, lids, straws,plates. When checking out management no longer greets you and speaks with you as you wait in line. In fact I am not sure any management works there. I never see them. Week over week they are out of product and will not tell you when it will return. This concerns West Knox Sam's Club tire dept. The first of May I made an appt for 5/30 to have my tires get their 5,000 mile rotation per warranty. When 5/30 came, I called & then went into the store for my 2 pm appt. I was told I didn't have an appt but William S gave me his card with Sat, 2 pm written on it. He also put 5/29 instead of 5/30 & said he would see me in a couple of Saturdays. It's not my fault that William didn't know his dates but I had proof with his own card that he put Sat/2 pm. The man on 5/30 was rude, didn't apologize nor offer to fix or make accommodations. He said he was the manager but his shirt didn't have his name much less titled position on it nor any ID badge & never bothered to identify himself by name. He had a beard and ponytail, sloppily dressed & he told me I would have to sit & wait hours to be serviced which told me he intended to have me sit there until closing time before getting to my car. Since my appt was prepaid from the warranty & the guy in front of me said he had a 2 pm appt & paid $900, this pony tailed guy had no interest in providing me with customer service since my rotation was free. read more

I like the products they have at Sam's Club. I like the people in the bakery, who are always so helpful and friendly. The Managment of the store leaves a lot to be desired. Paying for a membership, and the privilege to stand in a long line of people trying to get out of the store, just after purchasing the items I came for is ludicrous. I don't encounter this problem at Costco. I don't encounter this problem at Target. This location of Sam's Club didn't use to have this problem. It's a Sams, which means crowds and poor layout inside. The amount of displays and items are packed in and never seem in the same place for non frequent items. So they make you search in case you see something else they can get you to buy. The good... gas price in lower than others and close to my house. I have a membership just for gas. Another great feature is they have a free Air hose next to last garage door. Can get air anytime 24hrs. read more

Sam's Club was on the way from the mall back to my Grandparents house. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell, which is a plus in my book. Since every Sam's Club is basically different, it was like trying to find my way around. On the plus side, their cold is with their cold, pantry with pantry, etc. So that part was fairly close to the same. While it was Christmas Eve coming here, I was expecting it to be so packed that I couldn't find a spot to park. Thankfully, I was able to find something that wasn't half a mile away. I had parked closer to the Exit sign and I didn't realize where the Enter sign was. We kept walking and it seemed kind of hidden, behind a wall. I really don't like feeling like I'm lost and unsure about where the entrance was. Thankfully, we finally did find it but I sure do wish they didn't have that wall hiding the entrance. For it being Christmas Eve, I didn't think they would have pallets with stuff on it, basically wrapped up like with Saran Wrap in the middle of the aisles, taking up quite a bit of the space. Seeing that I went about 1p and they closed about 6p, I just didn't expect to see them in the middle of the day. Wow has Sams gone down. Today is Aug 17th. I had to stand in a 22 min line to FINALLY get my plastic card, you see the store has been OUT of the blanks for almost 6 months. Those little plastic cards were at some stores, but not this one!!! I was told I could laminate the paper receipt. When I did, it blacked out due to the heat of the laminator. Then when I got into the store, I wanted the Habit shirts for my hubby. Well, the was a tiny sample of shirts on the floor but (as you will see in picture) the majority were way up high as they had been MONTHS ago when I was in last!! I had to ask two different people to get me help. After about 10min an ast mgr Tommy showed up with an attitude. When I asked him why the shirts weren't (and never had been) on the floor he went into a dissertation about not enough floor space. He said that there wasn't enough floor space, and that he had sold 50,000 shirts and he had about 20,000 more. When I said if he put the display on the floor for us he really got angry. He said that only SOME Customers want them, I said that I have wanted them for months but to find a size I have to call for help (clearly they are short of) and wait! He told me they only had small & med of the shirt I wanted .. but don't you know, there was an XL he had to get down. While he was doing that another lady came up looking for shirts. She too was frustrated that the shirts were way up high and unavailable!!! I told him that if he had sooo many shirts in inventory, MAYBE , just MAYBE, they would sell more IF they were ON THE FLOOR for us customers. read more

I often shop at the Sam's Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. From my experiences and encounter with Sam's Club employees, I will say that the staffs I have come across have shown knowledgeable, friendly and helpful when assisting me. In situations I needed to return things, their customer service has been great at processing my refunds. Most of my experiences comes from shopping in-store and online have been positive. Shopping was a bit frustrating at the start of the pandemic, but Sam's managed to pull it all together and continues to improve. Their curbside pickup in my option has been excellent. Online orders are quickly processed, well packed and often arrive sooner than expected. They really care about the health of their customers. I appreciate that Sam's Club have been disinfecting their shopping carts. Not all grocery stores have been doing so. I also like that they provide free masks, gloves and access to hand sanitizer. I do wish that Sam's Club had MORE organic options. Their competitor, COSTCO carries more organic products and sadly, they are a little bit farther and our of my way. read more

This Sam's Club is laid out horribly! In addition, it says you can use scan and go, but when you scan everything and pay for it on your app using the scan and go feature, the person at the door says no, you have to go through a line and insert your card. They even have signs all over that say skip the check out, use the scan and go and head directly to the door. Then once you get to the door, you are embarrassed by having them tell you to bring your cart back to the register and check out manually at a register. OMG!!! read more

Everytime I come in and buy a cooked rotiserie chicken it is RAW!! Completely raw!!! WHY. I take them back in and tell them and they keep saying "Sorry, the ones we test are good" Well, I have a hard time believing this. I can see someone eating this and getting very sick. The recipe I'm using the chicken for I have to cook the chicken more, thank goodness or I wouldn't buy them. I cant see how these pass health and safety standards at all. read more

Had taken my tire to be repaired at Firestone on Cedar Bluff only to be told it was irreparable & I needed $460+ in new tires!! Instead, I brought my car to Sam's for a 2nd opinion. I'm so glad I did because they fixed my tire FOR FREE & told me when it was time for new tires (in about 6 months) they could order what I needed at a much more affordable price!! This SAMs Club is easily accessible from the Interstate. It's also easy to get back on the Interstate. Now for some reason it's right next to a Walmart Supercenter. I don't understand that. One thing I like is that there is a gas station out front that usually has the cheapest gas in Knoxville. It's real convenient when driving through town to stop here. read more

I applied two weeks ago, missed my first orientation, (I'm human I overslept) I called right after I missed and they told to me to come the following week. I went go orientaion and got my badge and locker, they told me I wasn't hired after, nobody knows what they're doing, there is 0 communication. this was the worst hiring process ever, plus they have a team lead named Jarrett Cotton who bullies coworkers and makes comments about women calling them fat. Sam's club is similar to Costco in which you shop in bulk. They check your members card upon entering and my friend got here first so I had to wait outside. It was so cold! I wish the guy checking IDs let me wait inside.. In terms of comparing prices, I'm not sure if Costco is cheaper or if Sam's club is cheaper. read more

This is my preferred Sam's location, and so far it has not disappointed! While not as fancy or health-conscious as Costco, they offer a wide selection at a steal of a price (with my membership). I initially signed up to buy some of their bulk floral for a wedding shower. It was the best decision ever - it was delivered three days before my event, which allowed me to make the centerpieces and prep the greenery. I have since kept my membership, and still use Sam's to buy bulk for parties and events. I have heard the cafe is pretty good for what it is, and will report back once I've tried that. Whenever we are in the area, I also fill up my gas tank and am able to save a decent bit with my card. read more

I visit this club about once a week for work related items. Recently they decided to completely realign much of the center of the store which has been a complete disaster. The aisles are virtually impossible to navigate due to pallets and wide carts compared to the oRiginal layout. If not for Vinny, Miles, Kaki, Kim, Maggie, and other nice employees this would have been a lower rating. read more

This is review is based on customer service only! Wow do they have a sucky one!! I've been trying to call for the last few hrs customer service, got someone and put me on hold for 11 minutes to get a manager, i hung up on accident and never been able to get back to them. This is ridiculous! I was there last night, while putting my cart away i stepped in a decent size pot hole and twisted my leg. It was during the night and would've been nice if they had more lights for people to see. Y didn't I go in and talk to them u ask? Well I thought nothing of it and thought it'd go away. I stayed up in pain, and hurts to walk on it today. I wanted to call them and give them a heads up maybe fix some potholes u have in the parking lot before someone really does get hurt, but noooo no-one will answer! Pathetic! read more

I'll be coming around the corner when I come said every customer in the store! This is one of my favorite Sam's Clubs in the nation so far and I am quite the traveler. The whole experience here is great from the taste test stations they have to the friendly staff always willing to help you to the awesome layout that the Sam's Clubs has and it seems like they have someone dedicated to always making sure something is straightened up properly. I used to work in a department store and I know when people try on clothes and put them back they always look messy but this location does a great job of not allowing that to happen so often. A small detail that makes a great difference. The bathrooms here are always magnificent even with the high volume of traffic they have. The pizza and hot dogs are always good even though I know I shouldn't always be eating them. They're so cheap and such a great value. Always low prices right? Things to note::: in the jewelry section they always have a great selection of Invicta watches which is a big deal because they have these $49.01 sales that you just cannot beet anywhere as Invicta watches are usually $200 and up. Get your wallet right. Now go shop at one of the greatest stores in the nation. read more

Each year, paying for the privilege to be ignored gets more ridiculous. I have a Business Membership with Sam's and have paid for that opportunity since 1991, yet the service is declining and they seem more interested in making political statements (removing ammunition from their Wal-mart shelves) than in providing customer service to their clients. They eliminated about 10 check-out registers and replaced them with self-service kiosks, yet if you have a problem you can't find anyone to speak with. They went from having two people to let you out the door to only one and when I went this morning that line was backed up at least 10 deep. I asked a manager to get someone else on the door and I was through the line when he finally showed up to help out. I am about six months into my last membership with Sam's. We also have a Costco in town and they seem to be doing things right. read more

I've purchased tires from Sam's twice. Tires for the most part are fine. Service to rotate them is not. I visited Sams in Knoxville to have the tires rotated. The attendant was very close to rude. At first, she was reluctant to acknowledge my presence. When she abruptly asked what I wanted, I indicated I wanted to have my tires rotated. The response was it will be 2 1/2 hours. Do you want to wait 2 1/2 hours? I felt the response was rude and really intended to get me to just leave. Which I did. My husband and I succumbed to getting a membership because of the fact that bulk shopping can save you some money. But every time we shop here I wonder why we shop here. It's because it's the only option available to us. With no rival to compete with Sam's Club is the only club store to purchase your bulk products. And what a shame. Every single time we come here I want hit my head against the wall because service is so unbelievably slow. When I stand in line I look at the multitude of people in line just standing there and not moving an inch. Either Sam's Club needs to hire more cashiers or additional help or they need a better system because it's just not working. When eating at the food court, skip the pizza. You might as well just go for a hot dog because the pizza is just plain horrible. The staff is alright. I find the ladies behind the customer service desk need a lesson in providing better customer service such as smiling and being pleasant. Overall, we really really dislike Sam's Club. Again, we shop here only because it's the only place to shop at. As soon as a Costco opens up, peace out Sam's Club! You can learn a lot from Costco. You can't go wrong with a super store like Sam's Club. Awesome products but geeeeeez, please add an extra person at the exit to check on the member's purchases. It is suuuuuuper slow at thr exit when in reality there really isn't that many people in the store, yet the line to exit is long. Also, there is no sense of timing for the customer service counter workers. They will have a long conversation while there are over 20 people in line. People have things to do, get moving and get working! It's not necessarily a bad thing to build great relationships but it's also inconsiderate when there are so many people waiting to get assistance, with one register open. In conclusion, the exiting and customer service counter are extremely conjested and slow. read more

I've shopped at Costco and Sam's for years and while I don't think there is anything special about this one it's similar to all the other clubs. I shop year multiply times a month and have never found it to be dirty, disorganized yes but they all are, I prefer this one from the east side one because it has a better selection. The store has a large selection of grocery items and a much better baby section than Costco. I think the reviewers are being a little harsh in my opinion, the pizza is covered with grease and tastes okay, but what do expect when it cost $2 for a slice the size of 3 regular ones. Overall I think they have what I want for reasonable prices and while I agree the customer service desk could use a class on friendliness the cashiers are always helpful and no slower than any other club or Costco which I've shopped at even longer than Sam's. read more

i don't normally write reviews but Tyler went above and beyond i just wanted to shout him out. He was doing pretty much everything while we were there and still helped us every time we needed something with a smile and a great attitude. As we left he was getting yelled at by some asshole that i can only assume was for a dumb reason like the long waits. it's christmas time. it's busy. everywhere is understaffed. So before you start griping about people not wanting to work, ask your self if you would work for low pay to get verbally abused everyday. Because i wouldn't.
