They serve quality food, that puts many restaurants to shame. The staff are always friendly and polite. I strongly recommend their various fish courses, which are always delicious. They also do one of the best saltimboccas that you'll find anywhere. Another plus is that they have a good selection of wine as well. For the singles out there, another Shallow Man tip is that if you're entertaining a date, but don't have time to cook, buy the meal from foodies, throw away the boxes, and make a huge mess in your kitchen. They don't have a place to eat the pizzas inside, so you have to get it as take-away or for delivery. The pizzas themselves were completely average. I had the anchovy and capers pizza and found it to be too salty. I like salty food so that's saying a lot. My husband had the pineapple and ham pizza. That was also completely average. If there was anywhere else to get pizza, I would try that place instead. There are so many average pizza places in Amsterdam. This one just blends in with the rest of them.

Two younger guys, both really helpful, making sandwiches and explaining all of the options very patiently. I had an avocado + tempeh + green bean sandwich. SO LEKKER! The sandwich was 3 euro, I believe. Nice price. It's a really quick, convenient and tasty sandwich shop in my hood that I'm so glad I finally tried. I can not wait to go back!
