They are known…read morefor having a high-profile chef and the restaurant is an oldie, but classic amongst the locals here. You can see signs of age and the glorious, golden days of the past in the numerous awards, competition trophies, newspaper clippings, and celeb photographs that adorn the wall.
When you walk in you can see the beautiful oven and a variety of chilled desserts and fruits. Our waiter was truly fantastic, a breath of fresh air given that 99% of the people we encountered in Milan were surprisingly extremely rude and uncourteous.
Between my friends and I, we splurged and ordered:
WHITE SALMON PIZZA
very cheesy, almost too cheesy. really delicious but a little too much, and the amount of cream/cheese and salty salmon made it a very salty pizza.
4 SEASONS PIZZA
vegetarian, came with mushrooms, olives, peppers, and something else, can't remember. Did not have a bite, but person said it was delicious.
BRESAOLA, ARUGULA, PARMESAN
beautiful pizza. my first time trying bresaola, and it was interesting, but not necessarily a taste I've acquired yet.
FRUTTI DI BOSCO
I am nuts about this cake, but the version they gave me was small, stale, and old. Major disappointment.
TIRAMISU
The BEST rendition I've ever had. It was just amazing.
LIMONCELLO
a small shot of the lemon-based liquid. damn, we slowly sipped on ours and felt pleasantly buzzed within 5 minutes.
There were a variety of traditional Italian food available, but they were a little out of our price range. The pizzas were about 10 euros, and the desserts about 4-5 euros. The non-pizza entrees were about 15-25 euros each.
