I was here for Poshfest this year. Good-sized ballroom for the main event and comfortable break-out rooms. It was easy to navigate the three floors of the section we were using, but the building seemed much bigger from the outside. There could have easily been several conferences going on at the same time. Nice facilities, easy walk to eats or boba, if you have free time. Parking is scarce, so getting dropped off is best.

It's great to have this convention in San Jose for all the sci Fi and fantasy fans. It feels like we have a different convention roll through every couple of years, but this was well-organized, plenty of artists, vendors, and autograph/photo ops. The spaces were well-maintained w/ a decent set of food options available. There seems to be less & less comic book-focused artists & vendors with each passing year, but still plenty for fans of all types of sci-fi fantasy to peruse & blow money on. Love supporting local artists & vendors, so those are always great to see. There was an extensive list of panelists & the panel rooms each had digital schedules displayed which was helpful. There were multiple alleys of celebs to meet - this year had a nice aisle full of folks from Star Trek which was cool Droid builders and cosplayers were all out in full force, so that was fun to see as well. Had a great time & got about 13,000 steps today because of the con, so yay!

This place is huge, I thought it was pretty cool that the entrance to the Hilton was right there. It makes it very convenient if you're attending an event at the convention center. You can definitely make your steps for the day walking around here. The place itself was clean along with the restrooms. It wasn't all rundown looking. We had gone here for a lowrider/impala car show. There are definitely a lot of areas for paid parking as well.

This was my first time attending an event here, and it was wonderful. They hosted the California Women's Conference, which was absolutely outstanding. Jane Fonda was incredible, and the entire experience was both fun and enlightening.

Tech conference was lit!!

Not a bad venue! Pretty huge with multiple floors and smack in the middle of the city. I was here for a tech conference and was impressed with the layout. I ended up staying at a nearby hotel and commuted in via electric scooter rentals lol, worked better than coffee to wake me up! This place was super easy to find and there's a lot of restaurants and hotels close by. Hell the tech conference even had Snoop perform in their back lot and was able to have enough room for all of us. I would totally come back here for another conference!

The convention was having an annual Silicon Valley Auto Show. It was a rainy day so we decided to come here early to avoid the large crowd. It was our first car show in San Jose, so I'm looking forward to what they got line up for the upcoming 2017 models. We got the chance to see the new Acura NSX, BMW M740i, Lambo, Mclaren, Nissan GTR, etc. Chevrolet had a lot of nice models such as the Corvette and Camaro. BMW had the X5, X6, M4, M240i, and M740i, i3, and i8. Some of the cars they let you sit inside to feel the comfort and explore the nice interiors. Some of the car brands let you test drive their new models. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to come again next year.

I felt like a kid at the candy store the second I got my wristband. Thanks to Goldstar for the half off entrance fee! The line at Will Call wasn't an issue for me but then again it was probably because I arrived 25 minutes early. I'm never late. Thought to myself that I may be the first to go in because things seemed quiet however, that assumption went down the drain the second I saw the long ass line to get in. Folks in line has checked in and got their wristbands; damn them for being earlier than me. Quest Nutrition came out to pass the "free sample cards". I can't understand why since Quest was giving one bar away per individual and the "sample card" wasn't needed. The line to get in went by rapidity fast. Before I knew it, I was at my first booth. I read what they had to offer and was in awe of their pull-up bars (contest galore throughout the event). Next to this booth was Quest. I don't just like this particular brand but I love it. Quest Bars are healthy and literally guilt free. I live by their hashtags via IG: #onaquest #cheatclean I'm always on a quest for a better me. Had a great time talking to the folks from just about every booth and I learned a lot. I tried flavored egg whites (hella good). I now can't wait for the UFC Gym that will open in Sunnyvale in September. Please note that this gym will be opened 24 hours, has a kids' center, kids' workout area (jiu jitsu, kickboxing, etc.) to the usual gym machines and equipment a plus classes: Krav Maga, Muay Thai, etc. Have always loved Pure Protein bars but I was stoked when I saw the new line: baked protein bars. They are not like rubber like the majority of the bars. The Met-RX Protein Pancakes were delicious and as guilt-free as possible. It tastes just like regular pancakes. Watched endless CF competitions, the Strong Man competition, and met so many great trainers and reps from www.bodybuilding.com. I was there by myself 90% of my time there so I was given lots of samples (one sample per person) and was approached frequently... Next year, I am bringing my kids. It is very important to me that my kids are active. I did not know parents would bring their kids to this thing but I saw quite a few and they were all not new to the fitness world. I love that. Love LVFT. Love Quest. Love this event!!!

Very nice facility that is up to date and modern. Inside you can walk for hours on end due to the in enormity of the inside Space. Employees that work the convention are no nonsense and professional yet at the same time will take the time to chat. 5 stars in my book.

Here's the parking rates (or at least the prices during the 2015 Big Wow Comic Fest in mid-April), for underground parking in the structure

The San Jose McEnery Convention Center is a good facility. I attended the Big Wow Comic Fest the past few years held here. The floorplan is good with multiple convention halls and small conference rooms. It's a good place to hold an event, whether a convention or a trade show. The area has decent food options that's walking distance too and it's close by to hotels as well. It's conveniently off of the freeway and easy to access. There's adequate parking facilities within the convention and adjacent hotel, as well as alternative (and cheaper) parking outside in the surrounding area. I think we paid $20 per day and I think the outdoor lots within walking distance is around $5 per day. The only downside to parking at the facility is "access" if you leave your car after hours beyond when the convention center closes, and you'll have to sweat it out a bit 'til you figure out how to get in, then get to an open door, then get to your car (and at that point it's easy to pay at the self-service machine) and leave. It's not horribly difficult but it's not self-explanatory, intuitive nor outlined outright.

The " Mitch Men" and Sandra...HOT!

I'm excited to write this review because I truly love my profession as a cosmetologist. I just got back from Cosmo-Prof Spring Style Show featuring all the lastest trends in hair, skin, and nails. I hadn't been to this place since I was a student in '02, it looks pretty much the same but it definately could use some more work especially in the bathrooms..YIKES! Otherwise everthing else was cool..giving a special shout out to all who enjoyed the weekend with me..Blanca..Stephanie..Sandra..(my girls)....Brian ..Paul...Dave(Paul Mitchell Models)...and to all the other random guys we saw and liked! A =Awesome for all the free stuff we snagged..thankyou to Farouk, Schwarzkopf, Paul Mitchell, Kenra, Joico, OPI and the bargain center for cleanup on all the goodies!

I made multiple payments throughout the year and trusted that everything was set. Just two and a half weeks before the event, I received a text message from the owner saying he had accidentally double booked my date and was asking if I could move the event to another day. I was completely shocked and devastated. I have family traveling from Mexico and Los Angeles, and I've already paid for the caterer, DJ, decorator, cake, and photographer. When you plan an event like this almost a year in advance, it's not something you can just change last minute. He offered to refund my money or try to find another venue, but how could I trust him again after such a huge mistake? I had no choice but to start over and look for another place, which means paying extra fees, delivery charges, and the inconvenience of relocating everything to Gilroy. Because of this, my daughter will no longer have her church ceremony, and that breaks my heart. This experience has been stressful, costly, and deeply disappointing. I do not recommend doing business with this person or this venue. They were unprofessional, careless, and completely unreliable with something so important. He doesn't even deserve the 1 star !!!

The staff were super quick & accommodating when they were assisting me with the set up. They helped me string up and put a HBD banner and set up my little one's high chair and way more like help bring stuff in, stock the drink fridge, set out the pastries, etc. They just knew what to do & did it straight away. I was amazed by the speed and professionalism! If only I had this level of set up at every birthday party. Barely any dictation or answering questions was needed. What a hugeeee lift off the mental load! There's a dedicated drink fridge in front of the register that kept our drinks chilled and easy for guests to grab. The food table is nice and long so it held a lot of food & we had A LOTT of food. We opted for the photo package too which was nice because usually being the host means you're too busy to take photos and get photos taken of your family. Overall, I highly recommend this place for your little one's special event! I only wish that this place was bigger so that we could invite more friends to our event. However, being smaller means more intimate events and those who are invited should feel super blessed and lucky to have made the cut!

We dressed up formally and were expecting to have a very fun engaging time with an elaborate buffet spread. After all, it did cost $70 per ticket!!!! Anyhow we were so disappointed! Their buffet was of fast food fare. There were grilled cheese quesadillas, simple beef burgers and fries. Seriously!!! OMG!!! If I wanted fast food fare like this, I would go to el Pollo Loco or Carls Jr. for better fast food and still pay much less. All I did at the event mostly was sit around and play with my phone. I did talk with a few other people who attended this event who told me the previous work shop event held by Poshmark was not that great either and the food was mediocre. Sure, Poshmark could have done better. There could have been interactive activities like a scavenger hunt event to win prizes and other contests, there could have been guest speakers, and free goody bags for participants. Gee, I am not even an event coordinator and know how this event could have been better! But I found the buffet to be the most disappointing. Sure, Poshmark perhaps chose the menu but it also reflects on the restaurant/event venue. After all, this is supposedly an ultra high end restaurant/event venue with the ambience to match. But the food was not worth the $70 ticket. And, sitting around with not much more to do but over indulge on fast food, talk with others in a noisy venue, and sit around fiddling with my phone was not fun for me. It was the first time my sweetie and I ever went to this restaurant/event venue and it was a let down. We may have got an inaccurate first impression of this place. I would think the general menu for this place must be better then the food that was catered at this event. I would think other events held here would have better buffets with a carving station, a salad bar, a snack bar and more (but for much less than $70 to attend). But surely other events that charge attendance here would have been better than the one we attended here. We did not find coming to this restaurant/event venue memorable. We will not be coming back to this restaurant /event venue nor ever come to another $70 Poshmark event like the one held here. It was disappointing. I wish we could have got our money back.
