First off, I hate writing bad reviews about restaurants and I wasn't going to but the restaurant wouldn't give me a resolution and told me there is no manager or owner that exists for me to talk to. We ordered from the restaurant and there was so much oil that the bag broke in my car and now I had to pay for the carpets in my car to be shampooed to get the smell and oil out. I'm extremely upset. If you're going to eat at this restaurant, eat in person and don't do takeout or else you'll be spending a ton of money to get the oil and smell out of your car. I will never order from here again especially because the employees wouldn't help at all and said they don't have any managers or owners. Horrible customer service. read more

Very good food, friendly and attentive service. We got the tikka masala and paneer with spicy level. Also got garlic naan, mango lassi, and chai. The saffron rice that comes with certain dishes was generous and delicious. They were sensitive to my allergies. Definitely will return here when I'm in the area! read more

What is there not to love about this restaurant. ?! I came here again about a month ago. I ordered the beef biryani this time and of course I was not disappointed. Firstly, the flavors and aroma are so heavenly. so, so good . The food is very high quality. Portions are sufficient and pricing is decent for the area. Since this is a small business I want to do more good than otherwise. Flavors were excellent. There is a quality within the food. Meat was quality but it was dry with the lamb and the chicken. Entree portions and appetizers were tiny. 5 cubes of chicken in the curry entree, flavors were good or great. Chai teas tasted watery. The portion sizes and prices are a real deal breaker because there are so many other options in orange county. I don't feel like I am getting a value other than the spice quality and halal meat quality within the food. There wasn't enough food to share amongst our table to really enjoy everything for a full plate. One or two chicken pieces each? Service was kind but not attentive. When we walked up to dine and the hostess was on their phone and we had to catch her attention. This is due to innocence through a young person at the front. With waitressing the same happened, water cups were empty with no asking to refill, tea was gently spilled on serving and they didn't even comment or acknowledge and walked away. We were asked if we wanted a box to go when we were still eating. Sana's has good food. If you want to check it out it's nice. We found this place on yelp and gave it a try today. We eat a lot of Indian food and this place is a must try. It's so unassuming but the food is fantastic and the staff are so friendly. We always drove past this shopping plaza on the freeway in Mission Viejo, but finally decided to drop by for lunch today. The shopping plaza is called The Kaleidoscope and it's quite empty. Lots of places to eat, but quite empty on a Sunday. We kept walking around and saw Union Market, which was quite empty as well. But tucked way in the back was Sana's Indian Restaurant, and we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Chicken 65 appetizer and Shrimp Tikka Masala as entree. The Chicken 65 was a fried chicken dish sautéed with bell peppers with very rich flavors and the Shrimp Tikka Masala was very good also! Not your typical creamy tomato tikka masala, maybe a bit less creamy but more flavorful! They gave us a big bowl of basmati rice to eat with our orders, and it was so good that we took the tikka masala and rice home for dinner! Located inside Union Market, went in for Saturday night dinner with couple friends. Nice to have a halal restaurant here. Food had good flavors, portions were small and prices were high. Servers were two young gals, who were attentive and friendly but skimped on little things that make a big difference such as paper napkins and cutney sauce. They would only bring one napkin out at a time after you asked for it, and it looked somewhat used. We ordered two orders of samosas since they were out of pakoras. Each order came with two samosas, but they only brought one set of sauces in half filled tiny little bowls. I figured since we ordered two servings we should get two servings of sauce and when I asked for more sauce the server said she would just refill it, which she took back and brought out half filled again. We really needed more sauce but I didn't want to keep asking because clearly they were saving pennies with the sauce and napkins. We ordered sekh kabob plate which came with ground chicken kabobs and rice. Chicken tikka which literally had only 5 small cubes of chicken in a bowl of sauce for $20. Everything was overpriced and small portions, you can get more food for less at any Persian restaurant. Will not be coming back here. read more

Ok I don't know what went wrong comparing to this other reviews my experience is way different. First of all this is a Pakistani restaurant not Indian. So the flavors are different. But what ever you do don't order the sheesh kebob. It's the most driest thing I ever ate. I even got sick later. And the portion are very small. We paid 95.00 bucks for small amount of food. Tucked inside the food court of Kaleidoscope is this gem of a restaurant. We tried the following during our visit: 1) Chana Chicken ($21): This was really good, I would give it a 9 out of 10. The chickpeas were just right in terms of texture. Not too hard or too mushy. The accompanying sauce was perfect and the boneless chicken was tender and well prepared. I would highly recommend it. 2) Beef Korma Curry ($21): Again they hit it out of the ballpark with this one. The spices were just right and the boneless Beef was tender and juicy. I would give it an 8 out of 10 score. 3) Daal Tadka ($15): It was quite flavorful but not up to par with the other dishes. I think if was too watery. 5 out of 10 for me. 4) Keema Naan ($7.95): Very well made. Comes stuffed with ground Chicken. A solid 7.5 out of 10 possible points. Other than the above the dishes were served with complimentary Basmati rice which were well made. Their Naans are also freshly baked in the oven and are $3.95 each. Overall our experience was really good and the service was also spot on. I would definitely be going back to this place.
