    Curry !
    Sarah S.

I had the curry bowl - med. spice, soo delicious. Just the right flavors, and spice. They actually lowered their prices due to current inflation, owner told us the new menus had not been printed yet. Love this place, it's is very clean, great prices for the food we got, & server was helpful with explaining some of the dishes, I will definitely be back.

Very good food, friendly and attentive service. We got the tikka masala and paneer with spicy level. Also got garlic naan, mango lassi, and chai. The saffron rice that comes with certain dishes was generous and delicious. They were sensitive to my allergies. Definitely will return here when I'm in the area!

Met the owner, Sal (Salaman) & his daughters, Nazia & Andriana (Andy)! Amazing service, and definitely a family friendly atmosphere. Shocking to have such a personal, welcoming service at a food hall---this place is a definite hidden gem! Super flavorful. Everything on the menu is drool worthy. Worth the drive for us! (We're not locals but drive out from West Covina to dine here) The food is so authentic and delicious than majority of the Brick & Mortar Indian restaurants we've frequented. Love that they truly are a made to order sit down. You can count on fresh, homemade style, flavorful cooking here. It was so good, we drove out again the day after because we craved the yumminess (They're consistent! I'm writing this review as we're seated this second visit lol)

Butter chicken - delicious but small protein portions, dry chicken, but the sauce was AMAZING

Came back here for their garlic naan and their butter chicken! After trying a few other places in the area - my boyfriend kept saying "Sana's Butter chicken and naan is better" lol. //CONTEXT// We came here on a Friday at around 4 pm as a party of two! We were seated immediately. //ENVIRONMENT// Inside Union Market K-scope in the back! //FOOD// Garlic Naan is my favorite here. It's buttery and garlic pieces are good. And not overly dry either. We ordered two servings which is perfect. Their butter chicken is super tasty! Tastes so good dipping the garlic naan. I think there was more chicken this time, too! The garlic sweet and sour was so tasty! If you love like Chinese or Vietnamese food this dish hit the spot! It was so savory and yummy! Loved the onions and seasoning. //SERVICE// We had a very nice server who I believe may have been the owner. She refilled our drinks promptly and checked up on us. //OVERALL// We'll be back :) updating my review because this is definitely some of the best Indian Pakistani food we've had!

What is there not to love about this restaurant. ?! I came here again about a month ago. I ordered the beef biryani this time and of course I was not disappointed. Firstly, the flavors and aroma are so heavenly. so, so good . The food is very high quality. Portions are sufficient and pricing is decent for the area. I went during weekday so not too busy and was served within 15-20 minutes , service was friendly and welcoming. This place is a gem, happy to add to my list of favorite restaurants in OC.

The garlic Naan you've been missing your whole life!

Okay, no joke, the best Indian food I've ever had! Ended up here on a total accident because the hot pot place next door was too busy! Must admit, this was a total pivot option. This was the happiest accident of my life. I was expecting .... Basic, over creamed Indian food. What I got was simply, brilliance. I am not kidding when I say this is the best I've ever had, coast to coast. We had the Lamb korma, Tikka, Garlic Naan... Somoa's. I'm literally in disbelief how good this food was! The girl serving us incredibly sweet. Her dad is the chef! This is the place. No doubt

Really nice service and cute small place. Really enjoyed the flavors of the saag and the butter chicken and the naan was super good! Barely any seating as it's in a small food court area. Thought service sizes would be a bit bigger for the price but the saag paneer had only like 5 cheese cubes in it. Really enjoyed the yogurt drink also! Good flavors but a bit overpriced for serving size in my opinion

Very good curry and rice. We had the mild curry and it very tasteful. The restaurant is at the Kaleidoscope mall in the Union Market in the back to the right.

Went with a group of friends for a quick lunch and this place was a hidden gem! The foods were fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. Will come back to try their other dishes

Chicken 65 and Shrimp Tikka Masala with Rice
    Emily Z.

We always drove past this shopping plaza on the freeway in Mission Viejo, but finally decided to drop by for lunch today. The shopping plaza is called The Kaleidoscope and it's quite empty. Lots of places to eat, but quite empty on a Sunday. We kept walking around and saw Union Market, which was quite empty as well. But tucked way in the back was Sana's Indian Restaurant, and we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Chicken 65 appetizer and Shrimp Tikka Masala as entree. The Chicken 65 was a fried chicken dish sautéed with bell peppers with very rich flavors and the Shrimp Tikka Masala was very good also! Not your typical creamy tomato tikka masala, maybe a bit less creamy but more flavorful! They gave us a big bowl of basmati rice to eat with our orders, and it was so good that we took the tikka masala and rice home for dinner! Really happy that we discovered such a good Indian restaurant in the area, and kind of nice that it's not so crowded, making it very convenient to drop by again!

One detail I loved was the screen playing old-school Indian movies in the background. It adds a layer of nostalgia to the experience that's hard to describe, almost like the feeling you get watching classic black-and-white films. The food does take a little while to come out, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Service is friendly. Samosa Chaat (9/10) - An explosion of flavours. I loved that they leave larger chunks of samosa throughout the dish instead of turning it into one giant mashed potato bowl. Great texture and balance. Dahi Puri (8/10) - Refreshing, slightly spicy, sweet, and savuory all at once. Plus, it's a fun dish to eat. Lamb Curry (7.5/10) - The meat was tender and the curry itself was rich and flavuorful. Butter Chicken (8.5/10) - Packed with flavor and hands down the best butter chicken I've had in Orange County. My only complaint is that the portion wasn't bigger. This review is for their online ordering…read more This is my first impression of Mint. I live in Irvine and always eat at Southern Spice, Clay Pot or Natraj when I crave Indian food. However this time I thought I would try something different. So I ordered online with Mint. All the pictures and reviews were decent so why not? Well I should've stuck with my OG's because this was not it. I ordered x2 buttered chicken that was in a very small container (see photo attached) for $20 EACH! Garlic Naan that was $5, Mango Lassi also $5 and Gelato. First, if you guys are paying $20 for a small tiny container of butter chicken in LH please please do yourself a favor and go try Southern Spice. Their flavors are mouthwatering and the portion is huge. I understand inflation but this is ridiculous and the flavor is blah. It's like there is no spices in there at all just butter and tomato sauce AND the kicker...no rice! Super weird to me that they do not automatically give you rice! Like who just orders butter chicken or any Indian,Chinese, Korean dish for that matter without rice! I mean rice has to cost you guys a pretty small fraction no? Just give people 1/2c of rice! If not, at least you should make note of that on your menu so people know ahead of ordering. The garlic Naan is decent really no complaints there, the Mango Lassi they gave me was the size of a kiddy cup (see photo) Literally a child's sippy cup is bigger than what I received for $5 insane! And just to make matters worse, when I opened by bag they placed my gelato directly on top of the hot food! So when I took it out, it had completely melted. $10 for melted pistachio creamy soup, just what I wanted. You guys have to do better for your customers. I get the price increases but for what you are giving and the immense amount of lack of flavors...is wild. Save your money, drive a little bit further and eat some true Indian food in Irvine/Tustin cause this place is not it. The pictures posted are truly beautiful but pictures are not everything especially when it comes to food quality and flavor. I am only giving two stars bc the Mango Lassi and Garlic Naan were decent tasting.

My friend got Indian food a few weeks ago so I felt inspired to get some too (or Pakistani food,…read morenot sure). Regardless, I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area.
