I was so full that I did not have room for the flan I wanted to try. The servers are all very polite and one spoke good English. I highly recommend this place. Definitely a "hole in the wall" appearance from the street, but once you get inside you're greeted with the bright Mexican colors, the tasteful restaurant layout and attentive sincere staff. The food was phenomenal! 10/10 for the Tacos de Jicama!! (MUST TRY, over and over again!!) 9/10 Pulpo Loco! The Octopus was cooked to perfection! (Which is not an easy task)...Add the lovely light vegetables, then pair with the tamarind sauce, extremely delicious! Sadly, I wasn't pleased with the risotto. (Fix the risotto and you have 10/10 hands down!) Lastly, absolutely loved that they offer an English menu, traditional Mexican music on multiple tv's (volume was perfect for conversing), as well as gorgeous art for purchase. The dinning options are on the 3rd floor and under Midtown is Fresko. The Food at Midtown is okay. The Kiosks on the 3rd floor are okay and are your typical mall offerings, fries, tacos, burgers, and the likes. There are some restaurants and fast food options. TIP 1: Do not skip on Fresko. Make sure to check it out. If you are staying multiple days at the Hilton, you can get some daily staples like bottled waters, snacks, and other things if you've forgotten to pack them TIP 2: The food court area has arondeck chairs and lounge areas to watch sports or movies. Its a great way to relax. The drop off and pick up area can get congested for Taxis and RideShares so make sure you are ready as the pickups come fast and know the car, license plate, and driver. If you are driving, there is valet. This is especially helpful if you are staying at the Hilton. Midtown is not a tourist destination but brand destination and if you're into that, then its there for you.

It is unlike any other Mexican chocolate I've had. My wife says their chocolate truffles are the best she's ever had in her life. Coming from her, that's an amazing statement, and I'd have to agree. I came across Tohhaa by chance while walking through the Andares Shopping Center where one of their shoppes is located. An employee was handing out free samples. After a taste, I knew I had to take some home for my Love. Now, I cannot go to Guadalajara without getting more! While I've only tasted a few of Tohhaa's products, each was first rate. They offer chocolate in more forms than I knew was possible: chocolate vars, truffles, chocolate covered cranberries, almonds, coffee beans, with several other variations. Tohhaa has a sugar-free line that uses Stevia and I would never know it was not sugar. There are also artisan bar soaps, liquid soaps, shampoo, hand creams, and other personal hygiene products with scents of chocolate, roses, mint, and various combinations. I have not tried aby of those. Additionally, the store has a number of locally made Mexican crafts made from stoneware, ceramic, and other gift items. Tohhaa has several locations in Guadalajara. This one is inside the Plaza Universidad. If you are ever in Guadalajara and like chocolate, this is a must stop! You won't regret it. I will certainly return whenever I'm on town. Tohhaa does have a website and will ship to your location, so check that out.
