Changing my original review after the owner, Federico, reneged on a promised discount and ghosted me days before my move. I originally used Sanchez Moves back in December 2019. At the time, my experience was less than 5 stars: he was late and unresponsive to his phone, and his partner was a heavier dude who was not well-suited for the three flights of stairs at my moving destination. (It actually seemed like I did more moving there than he did.) But Federico himself hustled and grew on me enough to help offset those things. At the time, he had only a few reviews. Wanting to give him more traction and support an upstart, I left a 5-star review. In return, he promised a discount on my next move. Fast forward to September 2020. We set up a move for 9/12 and he gives me a nice rate. I request a different partner who can handle the stairs better and he obliges. That week, the wildfires hit with off-the-charts hazardous air quality (400+ AQI). I felt bad using movers in these conditions -- it didn't seem right. Since I had the luxury of being able to push my move back a week, I decided that was better. I tell him on 9/10, 48 hours before the move, that I want to push it out a week and that I didn't want to subject either of us to these conditions. He says no problem. That was the last I heard from him. I messaged him twice afterwards, on 9/11 and 9/13, and left a voicemail. No response. Apparently, I'm not worth his time anymore. I suspect using the heavier/slower guy may be part of his cost model and how he charges lower rates. Now I'm scrambling with four days to go... for being nice? Both in leaving a 5-star review that was a little generous, and for thinking of him and his crew's health during our Venusian air quality? Screw me, right? Ultimately, you get what you pay for -- if reliability is what you're after, Sanchez Moves to the left. read more

Efficient, kind, quick, was thorough and mindful of my items. Would definitely use again on another move

I've moved once a year for the last four years. I used Sanchez Moves for my most recent move and I will use them from now one (but hopefully I'm not moving for a bit!) These folks were on time, communicative all throughout the process, they were fast and not one of my items was damaged. On top of that they were so friendly and fun. Moving Day can be stressful and they eliminated all my anxiety. (And their rates are very reasonable.) I'm recommending them to everyone I know. read more

Sanchez and his helper were the Nicest movers I ever hired and hard workers too. So glad I called them last minute and they helped me with the packing and everything. And I didnt know they installed appliances which can be hard to do for me. And last of all they hauled a couple old pieces of furnitire to the junk. Had service set up and scheduled a month a head of time but when the moving day arrived these guys were nowhere to be found! They didn't answer phone calls,texts,or emails. Im so happy to give these amazing guys 5 stars! They saved the day from the company that no showed on us and were able to book the NEXT day! I saw from their website that they were a new company and I'm glad I didn't let that deter me. They moved my two bedroom apartment quickly without taking a single break or pause. These guys are sweethearts. They are courteous, hard working and versatile. We've used them 3 times now and I highly recommend them! They have pride in their work and like challenges: They emptied 2 PODs in record time! Used some special, heavy straps to hoist a very heavy long dresser up 2 flights of stairs. I had asked them to come to move a couch to the basement, simple I thought, but it wouldn't fit down the stairs from the inside, luckily we had an outside door but it wouldn't fit in the angle of the stairs, they removed the feet of the couch and then had to remove the bannister (which they did very cleanly so it could be reattached) They reassembled the couch and did all with good humor and efficiency. This morning I requested quotes on movers and needed something done same day. I was crunched for time and just so happened to check my email. Sanchez Moves reached out and said they were available asap if needed. I immediately called and within 20 minutes they showed up ready to move. Called sanchez moves to haul away a lot of junk cause 1-800 got junk charged way over my budget for full truck load which was $700 and sanchez certainly beat their quotes by a lot less than that! Thank you sanchez and his crew! Will be referring him to everyone. read more

Sanchez moving did a pretty decent job at an excellent price. A bit too fast when I specifically told them at the start that I preferred quality over speed. I found a lot of stuff just thrown haphazardly together which luckily was okay because we weren't going far. But his helper was clearly hitting on me the entire time. And the main issue I have is that they left my antique bed rails at the old place. I was leaving a bad landlord. When I contacted Sanchez about the rails he told me a story that the landlord was lurking around the moving truck and probably took the rails. Um, I didn't see that and had never been informed of such behavior or concern during the move. I asked Sanchez to go back and see if he could get the rails because I didn't have a car. He said he did go but couldn't retrieve them. I sent an email to the landlord who said they'd been left in the back and he'd set them out front for me to get them out of the rain. A friend took me by and the rails were sitting out so you could easily see them from the road. Losing an irreplaceable antique item is one thing. Blatantly lying and specifically manipulating and exacerbating an uncomfortable situation was flat out shady and unethical. read more

He and EZ performed a four hour move up and down two flights of stairs with smiles on their faces and they were so communicative when a few pieces of furniture wouldn't fit through the narrow stairs at my quirky old house. Could not be happier about my experience. They helped me move furniture and boxes down two flights of stairs and outside in the cold wet rain the Sunday before Christmas. My day bed wasn't able to fit through the door and they were able to take it apart and reassemble it at my new residence.
