    A boulevardier, just because.

I.Love.This.Place. As you walk in, it is immediately obvious that the front is an excellent spot for performances, and the acoustics are going to be impressive. But it was empty and rather quiet the night I visited, which made my visit to the bar area in back even more enjoyable, as I got to spend quality time talking to the owners and bartender. You have a variety of seating options - tables, a lounge area, and of course at the bar. The featured cocktails are somewhat unique with interesting combinations of ingredients and complex finishes, and they likewise enjoy crafting a cocktail for you. I would definitely want to bring friends here and could easily stay here for an entire evening.

Friendly comfortable surprisingly cool venue. 1900's church renovated into an amazing event venue.

Awesome venue! Large enough to get down but small enough to have a clear view of the stage with great acoustics! Super friendly staff, great bar with tasty drinks (Peachy Keen was sooo good!), clean bathrooms with plenty of stalls, nice and cool A/C and did I mention the staff ;-) ??! They really know how to do things right here. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!!!!

(The rooms were not just brisk; they were frigid. It's a very old building) from the 1700s or 1600s and the birthday was in the Fall.) I gave my space heater to my mother who was in her late 80's to keep her room warm. In the meantime I was just trying to get the edge off the freeze in my room so I turned on the iron and placed it on a porcelean sink over a tile floor. It worked a little. My sister came by and I mistakenly bragged about how I was staying warm by keeping an iron on. She flipped out. I don't know why? (She never wants to see me problem solving, and self reliant or happy? she was stressed and unhappy?) and she went to management and claimed I was going to "burn the place down". Management came to the door. and asked me to turn off the iron. But unfortunately they didn't have any more room space heaters. So, the next day I decided I was not having much fun with family and birthday parties and decided to leave. The direct sneer at me on one of the manager's faces is what I remember as I left. Yeah. I think they could use some updating and insulation so the rooms aren't 50 degrees without a space heater. And it would be nice if they had enough space heaters for every room. Snobbery can only get you so far in terms of being a decent service.

We took our two younger ones there for a quiet Easter Sunday dinner together. So many interesting things on the menu, we way over ordered. But everything was delicious. We had the pork belly confit, the cheese bread, the octopus, and the parm wings to start. They were all polished off quickly. Our pork belly did seem to have missed a sauce, but we just dipped them with the cheesy bread sauce and was very happy. My son ordered a few different skews and thoroughly enjoyed his Picanha, sausage and cheese and chicken heart. My youngest said the chicken hearts were the best she had ever tried. High praise from a kid loving chicken heart since just a tiny tod. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye over mushroom risotto. We order medium rare and both of ours came perfectly done. Both our kids thoroughly enjoyed trying our steak and risotto. My daughter and I both enjoyed mixing my son's Yucca mash with the risotto. She practically scrapped my plate clean. We all had our eyes on the pineapple, but all agreed we were overstuffed and will defer to next time. We even had leftovers to bring home to one happy Puppy. Will definitely return!

But it's the food and drink that truly steal the show. The menu is a love letter to Brazilian and South American cooking -- bold, soulful, and bursting with creativity. Every dish tells a story of a rich culinary tradition, taking you on a journey from bright, sweet notes all the way through to deep, satisfying umami. Both the cocktail menu and non-alcoholic offerings match this spirit, offering drinks that are every bit as thoughtfully crafted as the plates they accompany. The interior is still very similar as far as the layout, but obviously a whole new coat of paint and decor instead. It almost reminds me a bit of a seafaring restaurant, but still not that different from how the 99 was with the size, walls, booths, hallways, etc. But there are other 99s and this new restaurant is pretty great overall, especially for a wonderfully flavorful, hearty burger and fries. I also had some of a companion's order, this interesting sesame chicken dish with seaweed salad and a half avocado filled with sauce, which was different and I'm not really sure why it was there, much as I like avocado. The chicken tasted great and was the highlight of that dish. The menu is nice and varied, so I'd be curious to try some of their other dishes, like the pizza. The service is great even when it's busy, and it's a pretty comfortable atmosphere.

We asked if the entrees came with rice and she answered and were about to place our order and she walks away to attend to someone else? Would have taken less than 30 seconds and there wasn't anything emergent that needed tending to. Comes back, takes the order (hunan crispy fish and shrimp with ginger and scallion) and the dishes are somehow out in 5-10 minutes. She practically throws the shrimp and side of rice on the table and walks away. Doesn't ask if we need anything else (we wanted chili oil). Another server brings the fish dish and asks if we need anything who we then inform about our request. The original one then comes by and throws the sauce on the table again. The shrimp dish was heavy in red onions and barely had ginger or scallion. The sauce tasted like soy sauce and a starch slurry with nothing else added and it was way too salty. The fish was weirder. It had a breading on it instead of a cornstarch/potato starch batter. The sauce also did not taste like oyster sauce and it tasted like the sauce sautéed with veggies was added at the end so nothing melded together.with the fish. The sauce was overly sweet. Some customers left the table next to us and she sat down in their empty seats and starts looking at her Apple watch. She never once filled up our waters but did for the other customers and did ask if they needed anything else and gingerly places dishes on their table. Felt extremely racist. Avoid this place. Acting like a high school student forced to work a summer job and begrudgingly doing so except she was much older, immature, at best rude, and at worst, racist.

We had a 5pm reservation, which was perfectly quiet and relaxed, though by 6:30-7pm the place was packed. If you're walking in, definitely aim for the early side. Service was excellent from start to finish -- the host, our server, and every staff member we encountered were attentive and professional. The steak and seafood selection is diverse and well-rounded, with plenty of side options to choose from. One honest note: the sides were a bit underwhelming on the flavor front compared to the rest of the meal, which is worth knowing going in. The appetizers, however, were a highlight -- and the french onion soup deserves a special shout-out. The drink program is solid with a strong wine list, and a nice bonus for non-drinkers: they offer a mocktail menu that was genuinely tasty, not an afterthought. Pricing is what you'd expect for an upscale steakhouse, so come prepared -- but if you're looking for a classic, polished steakhouse experience in the MetroWest area, Coach Grill is worth the visit.
