I took my nephew here today to do the Squid Game VR experience since he got straight A's to finish his semester. I been to this Sandbox location before for a Yelp event and did the zombie VR experience which was great. The Squid game is just a friendly challenge between the people in the room with you. Yiyzhak was the person helping us and he was amazing. You don't sweat as much as the zombie game but it's still interactive. The Google and vest that you wear did seem to have sweat smell so I don't think they cleaned them properly or fully. We had a great time here though, the squid game had 5 rounds and those were fun. My nephew won in the end so he was very happy.

This was the ultimate perfect place to throw my nephew's 12th birthday party. Since each room has a capacity of 6 people. He got 2 rooms and invited 12 of his friends to come and celebrate the big bash. So my sister decided to get 2 rooms with double sessions for each room so that they could have a 2 time experience with 2 different experiences. I told them they MUST do Amber in the Sky for one of them, which they did. The other they chose Squid Game. My sister got a packaged deal for the 2 rooms with 2 experiences which gave her a discount for the entire experience. Plus, for this party pack each room was gifted a giant basket full of anime items, cookies, and treats. My nephew was so ecstatic about the entire experience and how it was so memorable, cool, and slick not to forget how futuristic the experience was for him and the boys. In addition, my sister accidentally left the bag of gifts he got on the floor of the bathroom yesterday. The phenomenal staff had found and had it for safe keeping with them until she returned today to pick it up. She was so grateful beyond the moon for their honest and helpful deed. Can't say enough amazing things!

Cool and fun place for kid parties at the Westfield Village in Woodland Hills. Well maintained place. The staff are super good with all the kids and chaos. Watching the playback on the TVs to see what the kids were up against in the VR world is super cool.

The staff was so helpful and resolved our payments correctly. JAVEN was friendly, nice , upbeat and knowledgeable . The staff were helpful and nice especially our host JAVEN. For parking you have to park at the parking structure and there is a cost. No validation for it . The place is clean and sanitized. I recommend this location to try out this awesome experience.

Listen up! This was pricey BUT well worth the experience!!! Man did we have a blast doing this. We got lucky and had a private room for the three of us. We chose squid games and had a blast! 1000% recommend this experience to anyone! So family friendly!

Walking in we were politely greeted by O'Ryan who was super friendly . Andrew helped us put on our gear . We chose Amber sky and it did not dissapoint. Not to scary but more of an action adventure . Couldn't figure out how to get the shield . I wish they were more attentive , my partner tried to raise his hand for help but nobody came. Initially we were told to raise our hand if we needed anything. But besides that everything was fun I would definitely come back .

Ask the Community - Sandbox VR

    Is this appropriate for kids?

I personally think it may be a little scary for kids under 10 years old.

How much is the price and time for play?

$50 per person when we went last month and it's about an hour for the entire experience (including suiting up)

Do the machines easily make you nauseous, let's say for someone who has never done VR?

For someone like me who gets motion sickness easily, I take Dramamine before this experience and it helps a lot! No sickness at all and I recommend it to be safe!

Im trying to call the number provided so i can change the experience but it looks like the number isnt working, how do i contact you guys? I have reserved an experience tom. For 4 people.

Might be able to contact them online or via the email confirmation somehow. Gl! :(

Is there an age limit/suggestion? Would it be good for high schoolers?

No age limit. Yesss it would be great for high schoolers! My son and I had a blast there last week. Highly recommend.

    How much does this cost?

I believe around $36 something per person.

About how long are these experiences?

You are in VR anywhere between 25-30 minutes. The whole process from gear-up, tutorials, and game play footage makes the whole thing around 45-55 minutes long!

    How much does it cost?

Our experiences are normally $48 per person, however, we're currently running a 25% off deal to celebrate our opening. The deal is automatically applied on our website SandboxVR.com and lasts for a limited time. (Written on 10/14/19)

I would add the smell of candy and snow falling from the sky, I would include the beginning picture done by the photographer with the nutcracker background as part of the ticket cost... I was shocked they wanted to charge me an additional $25 for it. My tickets for my son and myself were already over $100! I would also give some type of holiday food item during or at the end of the show to help make it really special. I would include more real instruments in the first room and I would add many more props to the following rooms. There was also no type of ballet going on anywhere in any scene. We even asked where the ballerina we had seen in the advertisement was. No one knew. Also it looked like there was smoke in the advertisement and there was none. It has a lot of potential to become a really amazing immersive experience. Since we came on their opening day and we had the place to ourselves it was a very special experience. We felt safe enough to take our mask off for the pictures. I have no idea how crowded it was any other time but we went at 2pm on a Friday.

It's very easy to mess but if you drive slowly, it is literally right next to the building. You turn in and there should be a wellness center on your left. Continue to go forward and turn left and the parking garage is there. It has multiple levels going down. It's typically about $1 for an hour and no they do not validate. There is free parking nearby in another garage but for a dollar to be able to walk up and be right there is much better in my opinion. When you arrive, you call the phone number on the front door and they come unlock the door to let you in the inside. Has multiple VR experiences aside from VR room itself. There are multiple spaces so more than one group could have an experience at the same time. Once you sign the waivers, they take you back to your space that is reserved and put the headsets on for you. After putting on the headset to your timer starts and you start your gaming experience. Pretty easy to understand instructions from the game guide. Just try your best not to walk into any walls and respect the boundaries. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes the airflow is not great so you definitely feel sweaty on your face but other times they'll turn on the fans and it feels good the whole time you're there. Definitely great for less active activity but still very engaging. They don't really explain the game to you and kind of leave you to figure it out on your own, but the games are not super complicated to understand. The game guides are pretty nice and quick to help out with technical issues. You cannot hear other games that are happening at the same time as you. They are there and the space is open, but VR headset quickly muffles out any other sound so it's very easy to focus on your own game. Great place if you don't have anything to do for an hour in the afternoon. And it's so close to the 3rd St Promenade that you can walk over and experience that when you're done. We typically like to walk over to Go Greek on Ocean Avenue afterward for a fun FroYo snack.
