Called E&C for a quote and they arrived on time when promised. Bid was provided quickly and…read moreaccepted. They then told me when they would be onsite to do the job (siding). They arrived that morning exactly when they said... which is not typical for many contractors. The work was excellent. They kept in communication with me and told me about some problem areas that were discovered during removal of the old siding. They could have just covered these areas up and moved on, but they wanted it repaired right, so they cut out the old wood, installed some new sheathing, and then sealed all the windows properly with Vycor (self sealing tape). They installed house wrap and then the siding the way it should have been done the first time. Based upon their attention to detail it is quite clear this siding job will last for decades. Very pleased with the quality of work and the entire experience. Even their cleanup was superb - they used tarps to catch debris and even went over the entire area with a magnetic sweeper to pick up any dropped nails. Cannot say enough about these guys - they work hard and deliver a quality result. E&C is now on my short list of contractors that I trust and use time and time again. My siding is now better than new and I hope I don't need a new roof anytime soon, but if the next big hail storm hits I can promise you I'll be contacting E&C without a doubt. Well done guys. They said they could be here in about an hour, 20 minutes later the van pulled into the driveway! That was awesome! Jamison, our drain tech did a great job cleaning out our sewer drain! He located the clog 30 feet in and continued to clear the drain for the entire 100 feet! Never thought a clear drain would make us so happy, but here we are and I can't rave enough. Half of the nail holes in the trim are covered and half are not, the back splash in the kitchen was not caulked were it meets the counter top,the caulk around the bathroom sink is coming off and leaking, the banister trim has been warped since we moved in, there is a ridge in our counter top around the sink, our dry wall in the kitchen and in the bathroom has spots where they tried to patch a hole and did not do a good job, they didn't anchor down our island in the kitchen, and every time it rains hard the pink rocks wash out from under our driveway because of the way they have the gutter drain into a drain in our sidewalk which has now sunk in and cracked. We had a 1 year warranty on our house but every time we called the guy he acted like we were bothering him and he wouldn't come over when he said he would. It had to be during the week before 5 and we had to be home so one of us would have to take the day off of work and then he wouldn't show up. We were promised 2 new trees since the ones that were here when we moved in had never been watered and were dead and we were promised a new counter top since the one we have has a ridge around the sink. We haven't received either. When you buy a brand new house you shouldn't have to spend more money fixing things that should have been done in the first place.
