They serve up great Midwest fare - cheese curds, frybread, steak, burgers, etc. As the only restaurant on Pickerel Lake, this is where we came when our parents didn't feel like cooking supper. Fast forward 15 years and I (along with every child who grew up coming to the lake) could not WAIT until my 21st birthday so that I could officially discover what the Lodge nightlife had to offer. Welp, on weekends, this place is poppin' with locals and visitors alike. They have fun music, a full bar, and great camaraderie. It is definitely all that you want and more when heading to a divey lake bar. Their outside patio has a lovely view of the lake from the south end. Happy hour views? Check! During the weekdays, though, it is pretty quiet! They also have hotel rooms and cabins for rent. This is AMAZING since there really aren't many other rentals on the Pickerel Lake. The hotel and cabins have lake access where you can swim, drop your boat, etc. There are also fire pits on the beach to roast some s'mores. If you want a fun lake getaway and don't have a cabin on this lake, The Lodge is a great place to stay! Nothing super fancy, but all that you need to have a fun week at the lake with loved ones. Last but certainly not least, this is where everyone comes to get gas for their boats, jet skis, etc. All in all, you gotta love the Lodge!

A nice pond is adjacent to the hotel and campground. The pond is stocked with trout. Also has a beach to swim from. We had one of the larger rooms during our stay for a wedding, and it have ample room for our pack and play for the little one. Our room had a walk-in shower with seat. A/c worked great, and we needed it that warm weekend. Laundry next door is standard laundromat style, only $1 to wash and $1 to dry. Standard indoor Racketball ball court below the laundromat. Ate at the bar also on the property, and the food was great. Jumbo stuffed tater tots were a good way to start the meal. Across the street from the hotel is a city park, with many modern pieces of playground equipment. Only improvement would be to update the website to include the numerous amenities so guests can plan better ahead for their stay.

The unit was big with plenty of beds, and all of the amenities were included in our unit! Plenty of space for boat parking and outlets to charge trolling motors/boat. There is a fish cleaning building that is free for all to use. A little store/tackle shop in the front office as well. Way worth the $50 dollars a night to stay. The casino itself was so exciting with a large variety of slot machines and video machines to play at as well as several card tables (poker, blackjack, roulette.) There was staff keeping the machines clean at all times as well has bringing me a drink anytime mine got low. Our room was a double queen and it was quite spacious and very clean. The bathroom was large and clean and came stocked full of fresh towels as well as pleanty of quality soaps and shampoo. I got lunch at the deli and the hamburger they made me was phenomenal. Hand pressed patty with fresh vegetables for toppings. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I will certainly be back next time I come through South Dakota.
