The Harmony Preschool community that Gina has created is precious, safe and nurturing. All the things that I sought out while searching for a preschool. Gina and Gisele have created a garden that is magical and full of adventure, changing from day to day with new activities (including a music class!). I am confident that my son's safety, well being and happiness are top priority with his teachers and the other children at the school. The few months that we have been apart of this community have already influenced our whole family. They are helping us to parent in loving and kind ways, and my son is more confident in his abiliites daily. I am grateful to have found a loving school for my son, where he is modeled, in both action and word, how to be a loving and kind human. Aside from that i had came to this school from a 3 year hiadus from this city (prior to 99 grew up in goleta and retuned in fall of 02) and didn't know anyone and there were some really nice kids who actually came up to and asked me what my name was and such and i got invited to several parties (and this was the 7th grade !). Due to so many rude people and distractions that interupted my learning i had to transfer my 8th grade year and go to Santa Barbara junior high school in order to get a proper education and i am so glad i did really prepared me high school. But i was sad to leave bc i would have had 3 of 7th grade teachers whom where awesome and i had a good relationship with but where treated like complete crap by there students. Oh and i had stayed there i might have been able to stay in algebra one instead of going to sbjhs where they had no more room left in any algebra so i was stuck learning the same thing all over again pre algebra boring. A beautiful school though despite all of its extreme faults and being in the newspaper every other week in threats of being closed down(but had to keep it open due to over crowding). I haven't been their in god knows how many years but i hope they have made improvements.

Theres something called CIMI that 6th graders go to every year if the district has money. Luckily i got to go. But over all the teachers are really good and yard duties are absolutely amazing. One thing i dont like is that theres only school dress codes for gurl and not for boys which i think is unfair. But i like it and if i have kids i would bring them here.

There is a big focus on outside play and creative arts/crafts and cooking (pre-Covid) that our eldest son really enjoyed and thrived within to include weekly art and dance classes for the kids. The teachers really encourage independence and creativity within the confines of a group setting of children that really learn the important early lessons of respect and appreciation for one another. Our oldest son was wonderfully prepared and ahead of kids at the Kindergarten level entering pre-K and knew how to read/write his name, count and do simple math in this program that carved out a "K-class" for the older elementary school transitioning kids. Donna, Daniel, Laurel and Lindsey are wonderful teachers and I would HIGHLY recommend this program for any parent looking for well rounded loving learning environment for their little.

I feel that if someone or anyone had taken the time to explain or just sit with him that this would have never happened. Perhaps they were too busy?? Maybe they did not notice?? She also said he was on the spectrum?? It turns out that he was just low in English (he is bilingual) and is in fact, suffers from a bit of Einstein's Syndrome!! After a fun filled three days, we quickly got him out of there!
