This bakery's been around since 1872, making it the oldest bakery in São Paulo. It's a must visit place in São Paulo and not touristy at all. It is a hidden gem, a favorite place for all the attorneys in the neighborhood. It's located near Sé Cathedral and Liberdade district, as well as Forum João Mendes. I had a bad experience when I went there with my son, mother and a friend. Service was very mediocre. Our food arrived cold and the server didn't seem very interested in helping us. However, we returned twice for their colonial breakfast. It's a very inexpensive all you can eat table with a huge variety of their breads, pastries. They also have sausages and scrambled eggs, juices, yogurt, coffee, milk. Try serve this breakfast only on weekends from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. I highly recommend it. Their pão de queijo is probably the best I've ever had in my life. They make two types of pão de queijo, I'm assuming one of them is vegan, but again, make sure you ask them. read more
