This is a nice shopping mall, to an extent. I'm not sure who came up with the idea of an outdoor mall in Arizona, but it can be nice from October to March, then it becomes unbearable. Decent selection of stores, but not too many good restaurants, mainly overpriced chains. There's also an underlying snotty vibe at this mall. It's got Scottsdale vibes but none of the actual glam of Scottsdale. I prefer Chandler mall but will go here when needed. It can be pretty at night time, but it's usually decently hard to find parking. read more

This is a sweet outdoor mall akin to Desert Ridge or Kierland Commons. There's plenty of shops all around, but be ready to walk. I didn't even realize how far the shops went. You have staple mall stores (Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic, Black House White Market, Ann Taylor, Hollister Etc). There are also department stores - Macy's and Dillard's. And a Disney Store and cute kids play area. Not a place If you are injured or have trouble walking. Parking can get a little rough and the patrons tend to drive a bit agro. That said, it doesn't stop me from going. If you have time to meander around and enjoy cool weather it's great. The summer is another story. read more

Great center location shopping outlets/center with lot of restaurants and bars to dine in. From Best Buy to Dicks sporting to Johnny Rockets, everything is here. Large area but walkable. Plenty of parking spaces. Nice decor for holidays. We came here for annual yelp celebrations and it fun. Ate a lot , saw many businesses along with bump and roll ride which was real fun. Nice place to spend family time together. They had free WiFi but it never connected in both mine and wife's phone. Overall great place. read more

Most stores say open until 9 pm but I show up to a store at 8:05 and everything is closed up. Seems like stores need to change their hours online and on their business fronts because that's all false information. Wasted my gas coming down here an hour before close just to have everything closed. read more

I have a history with this Outside Mall since 2009. I used to work here before and this mall is always kept clean and organized every where. I must say it's one of the best Mall I have been to due to its cleanliness. For example, the outside playground for the kids are surrounded with mostly kids stores and other kid friendly shops, which makes it more convenient for the parents to shop in one area if they are limited in times and restrooms are around the corner. Although, Arizona summer heat can effect every businesses, this Outdoor Mall have managed to keep amazing businesses here since they've opened in 2007. They are big on the East Valley and most favorite mall of the city people surrounding it. When I found out that our Yelp 15th Birthday Celebration was going to be held here, I knew it was going to be a celebration of the year for all of us PHX YES members including our guest. It was a phenomenal evening with so much adventures in one night. I had a blast with my guest along with everyone else. I must say San Tan Mall is one of my favorite Outdoor Malls with plenty of good walking memories and shopping adventures. I highly recommended this Outside Mall specially on a cooler weather. read more

I love the Santan village, it is a great shopping and food destination around Gilbert. Santan has a lot of good places to hang out be it for coffee, boba, fast food, upscale restaurants and number shopping places. You name it and you have it there. They also have take picture with Santa during the holidays. We used the holiday memories, whole atmosphere and the vibe during the festive season is impeccable. My only complain for the take a pic with Santa is the Santa itself, that wasn't a good looking Santa, he was all tired who had given up to even talk to people, infact a slimmer Santa. Taking a pic costs $40 which is so not worth because it's a business, they are in such a hurry to click pictures that it doesn't even make memories. The photo clicking is below average the pictures are dark and needs editing. I wouldn't suggest Santan village for take a pic with Santa, hgtv is way better. Santan village is a good spot to hangout, well maintained, good parking area and one of our fav places to go during weekends read more

This little world of its own is amazing. There are so many cool shops and architecture that makes it feel like...not a mall. My advice however is this place is a traffic hole/nightmare on the side of B&N. There are literally so many people and cars on weekend days it makes you wish you lived in another city, especially if you moved here to get away from the noise of where you left. High traffic, loud stereos and tons of people in midlife crisis. I get it, you have put a lot of money in to the engine of your fartbike. Be ready to spend more time here on weekends than you wanted to. read more

We came to San Tan Mall with family we were visiting in the Mesa/Gilbert area. Coming from Northern AZ, any mall is usually pretty impressive but this one was so nice. I loved the whole vibe of the outdoor mall concept and it wasn't snowing in January so that was a huge plus! There were plenty of restaurants for us to choose from, which is actually why we came in the first place. But, I love strolling around after eating and getting a sweet treat for the kids after dinner and we definitely could do that here. Everything is super clean too, A+! read more

This is an open air mall. The stores are air conditioned but you are exposed to the elements as you move about the village. That being said, they do provide plenty of shade spots, some of the stores have misters, and there is a nice splash pad for the little kiddos or big ones if you feel inclined. There are a wide variety of stores, shops, restaurants, and services to accomodate most interests, style, or appetite. Conveniently located just off the 202 at Williams Field road, San Tan Village is minutes away from anywhere in the east valley. My wife and I like to spend an occasional Saturday browsing. We always discover something on sale or something we need. This is why San Tan Village is my favorite shopping mall in the east valley. read more

Great outdoor mall. Clean, plenty of parking, and great shops and restaurants. My favorite Harkins theater is here. I'm also a regular at the Disney Store, Macy's, Sephora, Apple, Nordstrom Rack, HomeGoods, Barnes and Noble, American Eagle, just to name a few. I highly recommend taking one of the photowalk classes at Apple. You really get to discover all the pretty little places the mall has to offer. There are also some great restaurants here. La Madeleine, Dog Haus, and Frost Gelato will get me to go to the mall just for a bite to eat. Definitely worth checking out! read more

LOVE coming to this place! Now that the weather is cooling down, this mall is the prefect place to take a stroll in the evening! It has every store in walking distance! This is a nice outdoor shopping center. It has stores such as Macy's, H&M, Coach, Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic along with various restaurants. I can imagine that during the summer months this place would be uncomfortable. I guess you could stop into the various stores and cool off. I would visit again when I am in the area. read more

Very nice outdoor mall that's a treat when the weather is nice. After September this is my favorite mall to visit. It isn't as crowded and big as Scottsdale and it's open spaced so that's a nice benefit. The weather can be too hot during summer to really enjoy exploring and shopping here, but they have good shade around the pathways and they have misters so that helps quite a lot with the overall heat. I wish there were a few more stores here because it seems lacking compared to even Chandler mall. Some of the stores like Forever 21 are not as impressive as other locations. Parking is not an issue as you can park in front of the store front or park in the regular lot behind the buildings. There's plenty of parking in the area. read more

Steronn, the security gentleman was very helpful we lost our cars, instead of pointing and giving directions he walked us there and my mom being at a lower altitude than she is used to was overheated and without skipping a beat he went back, got the golf cart and courteously drove us to our cars... which were a little further than we realized. San Tan Village off the 202 & Williams Field Rd. is a new Outdoor Mall style shopping center. The upside for me here is that the lay-out is reminiscent of an urban environment which is something I miss from Boston & NYC. The shopping center is mostly arranged like city blocks, with store fronts and streets intersecting throughout. Some "street" sections are closed off and feature water play areas and outdoor seating areas. While I'm walking around here I can imagine for brief moments that I'm in a retail area in a downtown back east. Just for brief moments. The downside is that it is nearly 100% corporate, as Malls typically are. You can find all the usual suspects here and perhaps 1 or 2 locally owned or independent businesses. You will not find a Bourgeois Pig or a Cafe Graffiti or any unique and interesting shopping and dining here with the possible exception of Blue Wasabi. There are misters nearly everywhere but they seem to be turned off at random times when I wish they were on. I think the planners really missed the boat with this shopping center. They should have put condos/apartments over the stores instead of business lofts and they should have brought in more independent and unique local business. read more

Westcor SanTan Village hosted a benefit event last night called "Taste of San Tan". The live entertainment included Dueling pianos, outstanding Stomp Performance's, Gals and Guys modeling Macy's and banana republic clothing, and a silent auction. The entry fee included 3 drink coupons and the two options were beer from Gordon Biersch or wine. The beer line was busy the entire night. This nice older gentlemen as he was leaving gave the guy that was at our table 3 drinks coupons and he was nice enough to share one with Mr H, so he now had a total of 4 drink coupons..lol Wow! and the mini samples from the local restaurants included: Brio, Cantina Laredo, grimaldi's, kona grill, Blue Wasabi, Red Robin's gourmet burger, The Keg, Johnny Rockets, Paradise bakery chipper cookies and coffee! My fave foodie tasting was from Cantina Laredo which consisted a sample of chicken, cute beef taquito, and for dessert a churro with raspberry sauce. We met lots of cool peeps, and the entertainment was outstanding. The price was $35.00 and and the best part that all proceeds benefit Save the Family, an organization that help homeless families break cycles of poverty, and homelessness. read more

I like San Tan Village. It's well maintained and has a good variety of stores for all personalities and most budgets. It's laid out well and an excellent outdoor mall option for 7-8 months out of the year...but in the middle of our hottest months??? No thank you. It's just too hot and I'm sorry but misters don't fully make up for that level of heat. Covered parking would be a plus here! read more

One of my favorite shopping destinations in the area. I've been here in the middle of August as well as the winter and it's always been doable. Large assortment of stores- Macy's, Sephora, Dillards, Victoria's Secret, Apple, H&M to name few! They also have a nail salon, a new DryBar salon and a movie theater. Not to mention Grimaldi's Pizza, bubble tea and sushi restaurants! A wonderful one stop shopping and dining experience. read more

Nice outdoor shopping center spread over a few blocks in the Gilbert area. I was visiting a friend that lives in the area and we went there for dinner at Blue Wasabi and spent some time shopping prior to our dinner reservation. I like the variety of shops from the hat stores, to the skate shops and Banana Republic store where I found a pair of wool pants I saw over the holidays but was sold out in my size. I was super stoked on that. Customer service was excellent at all the shops we visited... Even the security guards who were nice enough to take our picture in front of the outdoor fire pit near the movie theaters (total tourists!). There were sitting areas and play areas for kids. I really liked San Tan Village. I look forward to going back the next time I'm in town. read more

OK when my mother and I shopped at charming Charlie's we were very excited to find a bag for both of us but here's where It went wrong this happened two weeks ago less than two weeks ago and my mothers new bag the handles Rip leaving two holes in her new purse this bag cost $40 all we wanted to do is get a refund in the process they explain to us if you don't have the tags and if it's used then they can't return it it's an accessory if we had known that before we bought it the sales person who was very rude refused to do anything about it after fighting with this person she finally issued us a gift card for the purse this is just bull no wonder this place went out of business would rather shop online instead of going back to get worst service this is just unbelievable they would not give A receipt everything had to be an E receipt when this happened to the purse it was at that point I looked at the receipt and saw that it had to be brand new to be returned why would I return something that was brand new if I liked it and spent that much money on it horrible service i'd give these people a zero star if I had the chance read more

Sooo farrrrrr, but worth the drive. I didn't realize this part of town existed and there was so much to enjoy. I ate a lot of great food from La Madeline and other places in the area. I binged shopped at the Home Goods store (definitely needed ALL OF THAT). I enjoyed walking around in the rain and seeing all of the cool spots and fun places in the mall, like the big bouncy ball thingy that people get inside of and knock each other down... or out ( You mad?) lol. I would like to return soon, but just have another reason to go because it was an hour out from where I live... same county too. read more

Love this mall and the ability to run into whatever store you need instead of walking through a large indoor mall. It seems as though they logically grouped the stores together. Department stores. A row of kids stores, a puppy store and DQ near the kids play area. Liquor/wine store near AT&T for drunk texting. The stores and common areas are clean and well-stocked. The kids play area(near The Disney Store) is covered for our oven hot summers, with coin-operated ride-ons next to it (bring quarters). It is closed from 2-3 for cleaning. Security guards are helpful. The downside...parking sucks. If you want to go to any stores or restaurants in the middle of the mall, parking is hard to come by. Even on weekday early afternoons, I have to circle and say a prayer to find a spot. read more

Nice mall with good variety of store and restaurants, but the interior parking in front of the stores is the worst layout I've ever seen. On the weekends it's one big traffic jam with cars and people. Get rid of the inside parking in front of the stores and build a cover over the streets like they did in old Vegas. Let vendors set up in the streets like the do at the outlet mall at Wild Horse. Get rid of store front parking. read more

This place is ok. I have been here during the day and in the evening. It seems like more of an outlet mall. I'm not a fan of the outdoor thing, especially when it is 100+ degrees outside in the middle of summer. Walking from store to store, you get drenched in your own sweat. Just makes me not want to try on any of the clothes sold in some of the stores....think about all the sweaty people before you that have tried on those clothes! Seems like the stores are all geared toward the younger crowd and too trendy for most normal, working people. Anyway, save yourself a headache with parking and park way out in booneyville on the outskirts of the Dillard's parking lot and walk yourself in. read more

Serious love/hate relationship with this place. - Great shops, restaurants, and department stores to check out. - Nice outdoor atmosphere. - Nightmare entrance and parking. Seriously, who designed this place? The parking lot feels like playing Frogger or some other video game. Level 1: Drive through light, stop at stop sign, try to avoid hitting pedestrians. (Did you make it through? Great! Level up!) Level 2: Drive up and down several streets looking for a parking spot. Watch out for those pedestrians, they're everywhere! Level 3: PARALLEL PARK. (Just kidding. There aren't open spots to park. Ever. So even if parallel parking is in your skill set, you won't be able impress anyone.) If you manage to accomplish these tasks, YOU WIN! Congratulations! You can now shop at the store of your choice. Me, I just park behind Macy's and get my steps in for the day. read more

If you're looking for a village-street style mall a la Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, come check out San Tan Village! I love how they have parking on the side of the walkways like you're in a small town. The mall has a wide array of shops/department stores/restaurants as well as a movie theater. read more

In case you all don't already know....I moved here two months ago from San Jose, CA. I'm exploring the area, looking for interesting and cool places to go and shop, eat, etc. I decieded to take a ride yesterday and drive out to Chandler and Gilbert. I just took an exit off the freeway and drove. Imagine my suprise when I stumlbled upon SanTan Village! It's located sort of out in the middle of nowhere, really. I mean, I'm used to stores and malls one on top of the other where I come from. This one is literally by itself, seriously there is not much else around it. It was the HUGE Barnes and Noble that caught my eye first. I turned in and realized that behind that B&N were little streets lined with stores and restaurants. We parked and walked around. For my San Jose friends.....this is what Santana Row should have been instead of the pretencious piece of junk it is. Sure there are some upscale stores here like Coach but there is a large Macy's, Dillard's and a huge theater. The "streets" are layed out nicely and everything was easy to find. I like that they have one street that is just for kids. This is where you'll find the children's play area, all of the children's clothing stores are here along with a PayLess Shoe Store and a Disney Store! This Disney Store is one of the nicest I have seen. It's layout is nicely done and the staff were super nice! There are lots of restaurants on the outskirts and there is a separate food court. There is an Apple store AND a Best Buy here too. So let's recap....I've been to the Tempe Marketplace and I liked that place alot except for the fact that is it so spread out. SanTan Village is not as spread out and has a lot of the same stores. I had no issues parking either. It was a really nice Saturday afternoon when we went but, like the Tempe Marketplace, this is all open so I can't imagine coming here during the day when it's 115 outside....just sayin....I would be more inclined to go to an indoor mall at that point. I really loved SanTan Village and I am going back next weekend!! Pay day is next week. :) And there are several other stores across the road including a Costco, a DSW , and WalMart (I don't shop there but you might). If you have not taken a ride out this way....you should! It really is a nice area...probably one of the places I would consider living after I have been here for a while. :) read more
