**** WORST PERSON I'VE EVER HIRED --DO NOT EVER HIRE MIKE TO INSTALL YOUR HOLIDAY LIGHTS!!!!!!*******
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! IF I COULD GIVE HIM LESS OF A RATING ON THIS THING -- I WOULD!!
OVERVIEW:
1. He installs with tape -- what a joke!
2. He never shows up when he says he will.
3. He never calls back when he says he will.
4. He doesn't care about his customer, is unprofessional and brought a great deal of immense stress to our family, even though we paid him $725 upfront for the installation/deinstallation.
5. He lies and is full of excuses as to why he can't show up and do the job that you agreed to with him.
6. Do not hire him or pay him via VENMO!
7. Faulty work, and extremely low quality overall.
***To summarize my extremely terrible experience, please read below!! This is what you can expect after hiring Mike to install Christmas lights!!!***
SUMMARY:
In November, I had called early in the Christmas season to get lights installed to add some extra cheer to everyone and the children, since they are all home due to COVID-19.
Instead, Mike put up a terrible lighting display, wit lights falling down everywhere. It was so awful, but what was worse, is that you can not trust Mike at his word! He's a liar and a terrible business person. He has no ability to organize anything or follow through, unless he's getting all your money upfront. After that, even though he did not fulfill our agreement of installing the lights properly, he gladly kept the $725. And by the way, this was for one string of white lights, taped to the gutter line of the house and lights around front door only.
On November 14, 2020, Mike's worker "installed," lights with TAPE, which promptly fell down. Called Mike several times, and he kept promising he'd come out and fix, but no follow through. About 25-30% of lights fell down immediately and were down the entire season! I asked several times for him to install with hooks instead of tape and nothing. THIS NEVER HAPPENED! How can he make a business of installing lights with tape? Who does this? Well Mike does and it's just awful.
Then by December 8th, Mike had still not fixed the lights, despite my phone calls. And on this day he said he'd call me back by noon to tell me when he could schedule to fix again and he never called. I texted and called and he'd always say he'd come out and fix and never did!
***We went the entire holiday season with the worst light display! ***
Now by January, as I'm trying to get him to now take down this horrible light display, which is included in the original $725, he's full of excuses. He kept telling me all week that he'd text or call me back when he could put me on the schedule to take these lights, and never did. Instead, it took me hounding him constantly to get him to get this done. So much stress!
I'm still asking him for a refund, and no response. Like I said he's happy to take your money, but actually doesn't do the work as promised and then is full of excuses when dealing with him. It's always something, he had to change his staff, life is hard, his truck broke down or some BS like that. AWFUL!!!
