During my visit to the salon, they deviated from the procedure and colors that were agreed upon…read morewithout consulting me. My hair was knotted so that part of it had to be cut and no scalp protection was applied, which is why I now have redness on my scalp (see picture). I had to pay the full price for a result that was not agreed and could not be achieved due to a misunderstanding between colleagues.
I went to Salon Pauli for the second time on Thursday, September 26th. The first time I was with another stylist S.. She had bleached my roots and applied a gloss. I was very happy with the result, which is why I chose this salon again after my roots had grown out. The second time I went to a different stylist (Patricia) as S. was fully booked. I told her that she should please do exactly the same as S. did last time. She then talked to S., who told her the colors and briefly described how she should proceed to achieve the same result. After Patricia had applied the bleach, we went to the sink. She then started combing my hair with the dried bleach. After washing off the bleach, the gloss was applied to my hair. After Patricia had applied the bleach, we went to the sink. She then started combing my hair with the dried-on bleach. After washing off the bleach, the gloss was applied to my hair. When we got to the place after rinsing off the glossing and I looked at my hair, I realized to my horror that my hair was knotted at the ends, which I couldn't untangle by hand. My assumption is that the combing of the dried bleach (which was also very painful) must have loosened an enormous amount of hair that had not been combed out at the ends, which is why my hair was knotted at the ends. I then asked Patricia to apply another mask to the ends to untangle the knots by hand before she combed my hair when it was wet. Her answer: "I'm blonde too. It looks like that after washing". I have naturally straight hair and I used to blow-dry my hair myself at the hairdresser during the coronavirus pandemic and my hair was never in this state after washing. She wouldn't comply with my request to untangle the knots with a mask, which is why I asked her to please bring the stylist I saw last time. She then finally responded to my request to untangle my knotted hair at the sink. We then went back to the place and she blow-dried my hair. When it was dry, I saw that my roots were a lilac color, the middle section was left undone/yellowish and the ends were a neutral blonde. In addition, P. had overlooked a few strands when detangling at the sink, which had formed such a strong knot after blow-drying and combing that they had to be cut off. And now imagine what would have happened to my hair if I hadn't insisted on manual detangling with a mask. I then asked her to bring S. in. She confirmed that the result didn't look the same as the last time I was a customer. From the exchange between the two of them, I was able to gather that Patricia had used other glossing colors on her own without discussing this with me, as S. had asked Patricia which colors she had used and then said "I didn't tell you color xy". I'm generally open to the fact that my hair has different blonde reflections to the ones I usually have. What I'm not open to is that my hair has three different undertones. She wouldn't comply with my request to untangle the knots with a mask, which is why I asked her to please bring the stylist I saw last time. She then finally responded to my request to untangle my knotted hair at the sink. We then went back to the place and she blow-dried my hair. When it was dry, I saw that my roots were a lilac color, the middle section was left undone/yellowish and the ends were a neutral blonde. S. then suggested a solution: they used a product to remove the pigments from my roots and then wanted to apply a new gloss. After removing the pigments, Patricia wanted to leave it at that and was of the opinion that they didn't need to apply another gloss. After extracting the pigments from my roots, they were orange, as if they had just been bleached. Patricia would have left me in the salon with an orange base. S. said that a gloss would definitely have to be applied again. She asked Patricia to let conditioner soak in beforehand so that the color result would be even. Patricia then applied conditioner and seriously wanted to apply glossing without rinsing out the conditioner.
