stuffed peppers with rice and green beans

This time we were with friends whose impressions after dinner were consistent with a five star review. Since all the dinners come with Greek salad, they put out a large bowl for four with serving tools in the middle of our table and some quartered, plain pita. You can get a limited selection of salad dressings on the side. My buddy wanted more feta cheese on the salad ... no problem. As to entrées, his wife thought the flounder was the best, while he enjoyed their stuffed eggplant. My wife stuck with her well done salmon and I had their stuffed peppers. I wanted to substitute rice for French fries ... no problem. The dinners come with the vegetable du jour and either lemon potatoes, French fries or rice. The only comment detracting from a rave review was that my (two) stuffed peppers had more rice than meat, but they still tasted very good. We parked for free in the lot behind and arrived shortly before 6:00 P.M. on a Saturday night. No reservation was required. The price was right, the food was fine, the waitress was nice, and the booth was so spacious, my wife and I didn't bother to hang our winter jackets (although our friends did).

This was $27.... I love Greek food so I decided to give this place a try and unfortunately it was by far the worst I have ever had yet the most expensive. I've never ordered a Greek dinner platter where the sides are green beans and rice with tomato sauce on top... Both were not very good. Greek Palace down the block is soooo much better and the sides are delicious; fries and rice, not tomato sauce drenched like it is here. The chicken was kind of fatty and not that good either. Salad dressing wasn't good at all and the pita was kind of hard. Sticking with Gyro Palace for sure for better food and prices.

Cute restaurant in a quiet residential area. Came with my family of 4 - there is no kids menu and they only serve beer, wine and soda. Our waitress was nice but seemed to be the only one taking the orders for the whole restaurant. She did forget our drinks but it was fine - I felt bad because she was so busy. They should really consider adding another waiter/waitress especially on the weekends. There were two other employees helping her but they seemed to be the busboys. The food was good. The Greek salad was delicious I loved that they added grape leaves however I don't think the cheese was feta.. it was sliced and didn't have the usual crumble that you would normally get from feta. We ordered the chicken kabob and shrimp & fish kabob i was expecting it to come out on skewers and the presentation of the plates were very sloppy. However, the food was good and we enjoyed our meal.

I ordered pickup through ubereats and had an issue where the person who was supposed to pick up wasn't going to be able to make it in time before they close. Called ubereats who asked me to call the restaurant and see if they have a courier to deliver, since the former didn't have an option to switch to delivery; I was told they don't. About 30 mins after my order was supposed to be picked up, I hustled my way to the restaurant and was told that they would re-make my order since it was sitting there for a while - something that was totally unexpected and spoke volumes about how much they value quality, as it wasn't their fault it wasn't picked up when it was supposed to. I don't think I have ever enjoyed waiting for my food as much as I have - the host was very personable and we had a great conversation about the restaurant's food and others in the area. I had mentioned to him that I haven't seen a restaurant serve fried zucchini with skordalia since I had gone to a long-ago closed restaurant in NYC's upper eastside, and how excited I was to see that they offer it on their menu. The skordalia was delicious - not too garlicky - and paired with the thinly-sliced zucchini chips, was the perfect appetizer. I ordered two as my meal, but had plenty of leftovers for a snack. I look forward to coming back and sitting down for a meal.

They don't take reservations. Called and asked what the wait was. Gentleman was polite and only said approximately 15 minutes for 3 people. We ended up there at the perfect time because shortly after a lot of people came in after us. Sat in a booth, lots of room. Waters were refilled constantly. Lots of menu choices! The chicken kebob dinner was absolutely delicious!! Juicy tender chicken and same with the gyro dinner! It also came with a salad which was yummy and they put the dressing on the table for you which I liked. I had a 20% off coupon from the mail if you use cash to pay and got almost $15 off my check. First time here and will definitely come back. Very yummy food!!!

stopped in for soup to go , but i have been here for dinner as well ! Today i was craving their chicken lemon soup . It was hot and creamy. perfectly lemon with shredded chicken and rice ! mouth watering . An added treat was a toasty warm Pita , good for dipping or eating alone . Service was fast and pleasant. The interior transports you to Greece ! *Also recommended by my Greek patient * Definitely Recommend a visit of your in the mood for authentic Greek food .

Carafe of white house wine. Delicious

First time I came here since I moved to Merrick from Astoria. My mom wanted to try a Greek restaurant in Merrick and we were both very pleased from the service to the food to the portions. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Will definitely be coming back again. It's also very pretty inside and seeing all the pictures made me miss Greece even more. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed or leave hungry.

This place has the best Greek salad dressing on Long Island. Buy it. They are foolish for not marketing it in supermarkets.

We ordered the steak paninis, steak wraps, and onion rings -- all absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly seasoned and tender, and everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. You could taste the love in every bite. Even though we took our food to go, the staff made us feel right at home. Super friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The vibe inside is classic and cozy, with booth-style seating that gives off that real-deal diner feel. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Pit Stop is 100% worth the visit. Great food, great people -- exactly what you'd expect from a place Guy Fieri would put on the map!

My friend enjoyed a chicken sandwich and I had the BEST vegan bowl anywhere! We talked about why all the tables were not filled, and we both said at the same time: it must be the name. I would have not chosen to eat here if I did not ask the sisterhood chairlady at my Temple where they got the delicious wraps. My friend and I agreed that it should be called the Gourmet Grill, or Tasty Time.
