In the evening it's very cool without AC. The sound of the water. Running thru the river is very calming. The Lourdes Grotto is just across the the stream connected by a bridge just in front of the Property. It you plan to stay in Lourdes for the procession and evening mass. Christine and her staff work tirelessly to look after their guests - be they tourists, pilgrims, pilgrimage helpers or stagiaires. Nothing seems to much to ask them. The Sainte Marie is conveniently located near the Pont St Michel right at the entrance to the Sanctuaries and overlooks the rapidly flowing river Gave. The sound of rushing water is everywhere which, for me at least, is very soothing. Accomodation can be booked on a B&B basis or full/half board. For those on a budget there are rooms which can booked for 3 or 4 sharing. The hotel has recently been refurbished and all rooms are en suite and have satellite TV and air-conditioning. There is a hotel TV lounge at the reception level which has comfortable armchairs and coffee tables. A small bar next to the reception serves a cosy seating area where you can relax after a long day. For visitors with cars there is a locked car park in front of the hotel.

They diligently answered our questions and offered suggestions as we planned a rehearsal dinner party to be held at the hotel. The entire wedding weekend was flawless. The hotel staff did a phenomenal job accommodating our 60 guests by caring for their needs throughout the weekend. The dinner party exceeded our expectations as the food and service was incredible. Following the wedding, our friends and family consistently kept referring to the friendly staff and high quality of service that The Mercure hotel provided. The staff went above and beyond by doing their best to accommodate the language barrier while never making us feel incompetent for our inability to communicate in their language.
