Specialties
Sara Amrhein Firenze is a unique line of bold statement jewelry inspired by nature, unexpected color combinations, and extraordinary adventures. Each piece is one of a kind or limited edition and is handmade using the highest quality materials available. The primary medium is polymer clay, which emulates the qualities and detail of fine porcelain or ceramic, yet is extremely durable and lightweight without the risk of breakage. All beaded accents are always semi-precious stone, glass, or crystal. All ear wires are sterling silver or 14k gold plated. Sara Amrhein Firenze is proud to be the only polymer clay jewelry studio in the center of Florence.
History
Established in 2009.
Having received her BFA with honors in 2006 from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles California, Amrhein initially studied painting and sculpture, her jewelry is directly informed by her Fine Art background and polymer clay being a versatile sculptural material allows for a seamless combination of mediums, materials, and concepts. Sara Amrhein Firenze began in 2009 in the backroom of a construction company in Florence, Italy. With paint peeling off the walls and no heat in the winter, I bundled up, wiped off the dirt, and got to work. A passion for art and fashion, along with the determination to make art my living fueled the fire, I eventually took over the entire space and turned it into my studio, and my company has been growing ever since.
