Laine Photography, who not only does a fantastic job, but also had experience with the area that I wanted to propose at. Meghann was very easy to communicate with and very professional. Meghann talked me through some ideas and had a whole plan on what to do, where to go and the time of when to get to the spot where I'd propose. Meghann even had a video with step by step instructions for me to review before getting to this remote area of Olympic so I didn't have to guess while we were out there. She had gotten there early and even quietly asked a few people to come back in a few minutes while I proposed. My (now) fiancee was incredibly surprised and it all went off without any issues thanks to Meghann's experience and instructions. After the proposal, Meghann took us to different areas around Cape Flattery and took a ton of photos of us. It was so much fun and Meghann was incredibly nice. So, I knew it was critical to find a photographer who would be a good match and one who's photography style we'd love. A colleague of mine worked with Jen on her wedding in 2004. And, when her pictures came back and she shared them - I just fell in love with the way her beautiful day was shot. The photos told a story from the very beginning of her day to the ceremony and the reception. Jen's work is emotive, warm and unexpected (she leverages the environment to get amazing and delightful shots). She also carefully and appropriately balances black & white with color shots. Jen captured the spirit of our Christmas wedding. It was exactly what we wanted for our wedding photos! Photography style is one aspect of hiring a photographer. The other that ended up being one of the best aspects of what Jen offers is partnership. She is prompt, professional and will go above and beyond what you'd expect as a client. What I didn't realize is that our partnership extended beyond our wedding day. You spend another two to four months working and communicating with your photographer after the wedding; finalizing select shots, album (if part of your contract) and final slideshow. Jennifer obviously has other clientele, but she treats you as if you are her only client. She works very hard to ensure you get what you both agreed to in a timely manner. Fun fact: Veronica Victoria Photography has been featured on Evening Magazine. So you KNOW she's good. Her studio is located in downtown Puyallup. It's small and simple, but she creates AMAZING pictures right there in that little building! She's got all sorts of props ready to go - and all sorts of toys to get baby's attention. We started off walking around the immediate area to get family shots. As a photographer should, she had such a great eye for places to get us at and was good about directing us how to pose. My husband and I are terrible at posing for photos, and she had no problem with it. She was great about rolling with the punches... The punches being that my son just wanted to run all over the place and be a crazy man. She still got SUCH amazing shots. The cake smash portion was hilarious. She had a little cake ready to go that she orders ahead of time. The color scheme for his shoot was lots of blue, so the cake was blue as well. It was a warmer day, so the studio was warm... Which means the frosting was a little melty. He got it EVERYWHERE in the studio. Flinging it on us, on the walls, you name it. Veronica was great about it! We got our photos within the promised time. While we didn't pay for it because it was a gift, her prices are fair and what I would be willing to pay for the images we received. Highly, HIGHLY recommend for important milestone photos. This is why we're happy to drive over an hour away to have Veronica capture the big milestones and holidays for our family, from newborn sessions to cake smashes to Valentine's and Easter mini photo sessions. For our newborn session, our baby was wide awake and alert even after feedings. We normally have a tough time getting her to sleep (and stay asleep!), but Veronica is a veritable baby whisperer!
