They hold your storm damage photos hostage to pressure you into a contract. Find an honest local contractor instead. Total bait-and-switch scheme! This company advertises a 'Free Estimate' to get their foot in your door. But once they inspect the storm damage, they hold the estimate, photos, and videos hostage. They refuse to send the paperwork via email unless you meet them in person to sign a binding contract. A real free estimate doesn't require a signed contract. They are dishonest, shady, and unprofessional. Avoid them!

Given the weather, Monarch was able to come out the next day - Shane came himself to look at the leak from inside the house and attic as it was still not safe to go up on the roof in the weather. Then, 2 days later, they were able to get a crew out to inspect the roof and make the necessary repairs. Communication was a bit frustrating at times as the time table kept changing and we were running up against another round of multi-day rain chances, but it all got fixed in the end. We ended up replacing 9 rain collars and some roofing around my furnace vent, totaling $750. Seemed a bit steep, but when it comes to roof leaks and impending rain I didn't have much wiggle room to start over and get new quotes. I told them not to run power tools (noise) before 8:00 am, and they didn't. I have a koi pond in the yard and couldn't have nails or debris falling into it; they brought sheets of plywood and covered the pond completely (photo). Their guys are go-getters, clean and respectful, hard workers - and the crew (photo) includes a gal, yes, up there hammering nails! As a female contractor myself, I appreciate that Greg had other jobs going on around the city but stopped by several times to be sure all was going well The team removed old shingles, replaced rotted decking, installed new shingles, ridge vents, gutter guards - all in one day (photo, mine's on the left) My neighbor had them do his roof too (no photo) and they were able to complete both in one day (each townhome is ¼ lot). I learned what to look for in a roofing company and what constituted a good job by a roofer. Armed with a base of knowledge, I evaluated eight different roofing companies. I read a ton of reviews from various web site such as yelp, google, Angie's List, the BBB, and HomeAdvisor and I scoured information on their individual web sites. Of these eight, I had five roofing companies provide me with estimates. Most of them visited my home and just provided me with a sheet of paper outlining the work they'd do and the cost. Some provided a detailed breakout of the materials they'd use and the total cost but no details. James Pruett, with Secure Roofing, was very detailed with me from the very first phone call. He was very professional, obviously very knowledgeable and just plain nice. He was also the only one that discussed his quote with me in detail and in person and provided examples of the material he would use with options. He even showed my his license and insurance. He explained the materials, options and the work he'd do in detail. No other company did any of this. James' team showed up at 7:09 AM and they had my entire roof stripped in two hours flat! My new roof, with new & extended ridge vents, was fully installed by 4:30 PM...on a very windy day!
