    The Sarkis Special Omlette

This is probably my new favorite breakfast spot, in Chi metro. It flirts with being overpriced, but the volume is there. Bring cash, and a hefty appetite.

This is a staple in the area. You'll get a ton of food provided you bring your cash! Personally I enjoyed the omelet more than the sandwiches. Several folks at the table were not fans of the Armenian sausage, order at your own risk. Coffee was fine. Hot sauce options were meh.

Have been coming here for 10+ years! (Since I was in elementary school). A classic located in Evanston. I will always drive to eat here. I've tried multiple things off their menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Not sure if they're renovating because they have outdoor seating setup only. Don't be fooled by the exterior though - the old look gives this place its character! If it's your first time, you gotta go with the classic Loretta. Very filling and just makes you feel at home. Ingredients always taste fresh.

I've been going to Sarkis for a year now. I always got the same thing a bacon, Loretta with egg which is an amazing breakfast sandwich! This past week I tried something new for the first time. I tried an omelette with white cheese, mushrooms, broccoli bacon, tomato, and onion was so good. Highly recommend the m and m pancakes as well. I will be getting that again. Prepare to be full! The service is amazing and they truly act like you are family when you walk in and order. The ambience is interesting because it is a small diner/shack. It's not the fanciest looking place, but it is a great place to eat.

I came here for lunch with a few coworkers around 1130. They have their own parking lot(free). You have to order your food before you seat down. It has indoor (I think only a few seats) and outdoor seating under a tent. They have physical menus or you can scan QR code. It's cash only. They do have an atm you can use. I ended up ordering an Animal Loretta sandwich. It's filled with bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, green peppers ,onions and tomatoes. It had great taste everything was cooked perfectly. It also comes with an order of hash browns. They had good service. If it was hotter it woulda of been hard to eat outside. All in all great place!

College vibe with good energy and no frills. All the food was delicious with some of the best blueberry pancakes we have had in awhile. Cash only, but worth the inconvenience. Service was also very good.

Amazing food but zero pride in their appearance or comfort

Food here is ok but zero effort made on upkeep comfort or decor. Very small inside and the patio consists of whatever random tables and chairs that they could find. It's definitely a staple in the north shore but I feel the food quality has decreased over the years. Used to come quite often but this place hasn't been able to keep up with the other breakfast spots in the area. Has not evolved at all and actually has gone backwards. Probably won't be coming back anymore.

Sarkis is one of a kind! I used to skip high school MANY years ago and drive 30+ minutes with a bunch of friends to get the same (and arguably the best) order every time: "A Bacon Loretta, with extra mayo, a side of Cheesy Hash and an Orange Fanta." I went this past weekend and it STILL rocks - So delicious! It was nice to see that they grew their outside dining option by adding a large heated tent. FYI they are still cash only, but they have an ATM in the back if you forget (like I did).

Great neighborhood place that my family has come back to when we want consistently good brunch. The vibe is great with the crew's happy, positive energy is so contagious that guests get happy bellies AND spirits! The food is perfectly cooked and brought to your table promptly by the crew that makes you feel like family. The price is affordable with the average entree below $15. The coffee is good, too, with a hint of cinnamon. No frills but great place to go for a meal with family and friends!

The prices were high. $40+ for the food and drink.

Everyone in my group went with the gouda burger and fries, which was quite an ample portion. I saw the mushroom quesadilla in the starters section and decided to try that. Now, I knew it was an appetizer but based on the price point (almost $15) I did think it would be a on the bigger side. Enough for lunch at least. Narrator: it was not. It was so teeny tiny! I wish I had taken a picture of it but I think the side of black beans was bigger. The good news is is that it was DELICIOUS but the bad news is I wanted more and I couldn't have it. Heads up, if you're ordering it as an appetizer it'll probably be fine but I would not recommend it for more than 2 people. We also got the pudding (both chocolate and butterscotch) and those were excellent. I really enjoyed the bites I took of my husband's burger and sweet potato fries, too. So I'd definitely order from here again. I would just be sure to stick with an entree sized meal in the future.

I was seated quickly, and the bright 60s-style booths in shades of brown and green were comfortable and welcoming. My friend and I started with coffee. I ordered decaf, but the waitress accidentally brought me regular. Thankfully, I caught it right away and she corrected it. It was a busy Sunday, so I understand service can get hectic, but our waitress felt a bit rushed and not the warmest. Not rude just not very personable. For my meal, I ordered the French Toast Combination with the cinnamon French toast. Since I don't eat pork, the only alternative meat option offered was turkey patties unless I wanted to pay extra for steak or chicken. I chose the chicken and received two grilled pieces clearly the type used for salads. Unfortunately, they were overcooked and dry. This is exactly why I avoid chicken and waffles made with chicken breast it's the driest cut and never a good pairing. The cinnamon French toast itself was excellent flavorful and a huge portion that honestly could've been a full meal on its own. The eggs were fine, and the hash browns were tasty, though I later learned you have to choose between hash browns or meat, not both. My friend ordered the vegetarian omelet and thought it was just okay. Neither of us finished our meals. The plates looked nice, but overall the flavors were pretty mild. I love diner food, so I really wanted to enjoy this place. While the conversation with my friend was great, the food didn't live up to the experience. Cozy Corner seems to shine most with their sweets, and I'd definitely recommend the cinnamon French toast. If I'm in the area again, I might give them another try, but the limited alternative options make me hesitant. I do think offering turkey bacon like other diners such as White Palace Grill, would be a great improvement. For my first experience, I'd give Cozy Corner at 6349 N Clark a 2.5 out of 5.
