Love this shoe store! Customer service is awesome, they let you try on lots of pairs and sizes to ensure that you are taking home shoes you will love. They bring in great brands from Spain, Italy, Mexico and Brazil. Reasonable prizes for the quality and they put on awesome sales. I have never been so disgusted by customer service at a store in my life! My first time in the shop, I specifically asked about the return policy & was told I could return any non sale items. There was ZERO mention that returns were for store credit only. So I purchased items that I wasn't certain of to try at home - when I went to return them (not the large part of my purchase which I did keep) - I was informed that store credit was my only option. I spoke with them regarding the fact that I specifically asked about the return policy & this was not mentioned, the owners respect response was that had always been her policy & that it was as written on the receipt / but not posted ANYWHERE in the store. When I expressed this their response was that many stores in the area have similar policies - while this may be true, any other store I've been at explains this when asked - especially since I had made clear during my visit that I was new to the area & not certain I'd be staying. When I visit Kelowna from the U.S., I usually take a shoe shopping expedition to Hollywood Shoes in Rutland. This last February I decided to give Sassy Shoes a try. I bought a pair of Gold Button shoes for summer wearing, which I wore to work for the first time in May. After 3 hours the zipper in the back had cut into my skin. Since I paid a lot of money for the shoes, I decided to bring them with me on my next visit to Kelowna to find out if I could exchange them for something else. I tried to do that today. Long story short...don't bother trying to exchange any shoes here. I arrived around 3pm and a man was working the shop. He told me that he wasn't sure what the policy is, but that the owner would be back around 4pm. She finally arrived around 4:30pm and told me that "there's nothing I can do for you, these were bought 4 months ago." You're right, that is when they were bought. But two crucial pieces of information - I couldn't wear the shoes until the warm season and I live 500 miles away. Even if I lived here, the earliest I would have learned that the shoes hurt was a month ago. This is a high end shoe store and I expect better service. As the owner, she could have done anything she wanted. Instead she sent me away with expensive shoes that I can't use and a bad taste in my mouth. Do yourself a favor and save your shoe shopping money for Hollywood Shoes where you'll find comfortable shoes and customer oriented staff. read more
