Vatsala Sastry caused my elderly mother's heart failure and permanent disability by dosing her with a cocktail of last-resort antibiotics that she didn't even need. It's all about the insurance billing - some of these antibiotics are $500 each, and my mom was given three at a time. Sastry said my mom needed "5 or 6 weeks" of daily infusions; on day 10 she was rushed to ER with heart failure. Sastry gave her Levaquin, which has a black box warning that it can cause heart failure in patients with a-fib. My mom has a-fib, and it's noted throughout her medical records. Look up Sastry on the Florida Department of Health website and you'll see she has 3 deaths on her hands, plus permanent and temporary injuries. These are public records. Her horrendous online reviews reflect the same pattern of behavior, but unfortunately we learned many things too late. I believe Sastry used her "staff privileges" at Oak Hill Hospital (where she was assigned to my mother) to funnel patients to her filthy (literally) Suncoast Infusion Center upon their discharge. The hospital record clearly shows my mother did not have an infection, but Sastry blatantly lied in her clinic records, stating my mom had a bone infection. I reported all this to the CEO of Oak Hill Hospital, Mikey Smith, yet Sastry still has staff privileges. Her Suncoast Infusion Center appears to be out of business, but that's likely due to Covid, versus her reputation. I reported Sastry to the Florida Department of Health, but if three deaths and falsifying medical records didn't stop her, I don't have much hope that my mother's case will impact her career. this is absolutely the worst doctor known to mankind i had a bone infection in my foot in october 2024, this lady would never show me my blood work when i asked she kept giving me different medicine until april of 2025 nothing ever worked she would literally see you for 5 mins and leave out the room no updates on my foot no updates on if i was getting better or anything just new medicines every friday.. then once my insurance expired..they stopped calling me to ser appointments lol fake uncaring doctor i had to pull my own pick line out of my arm because she wanted to keep it in me for 7;months the longer its in the more money she get.. most uncaring doctor i ever met no explanation for anything if you want to live do not see dr santstry because she will be the cause of your elderly loved ones death everybody in that office is slow and all they care about is money dr. santstry is a big scam read more

I wish I could give no stars. This place is absolutely disgusting and should be paid a visit by AHCA. They do not sanitize anything when one patient leaves the next just sits right down. There were bugs on the floor along with nats flying around a sharps container. They discuss medical information within listening distance of other patients. They play rock music so loud you can't hear yourself think. While patients are getting infusions and IV's are being changed they are hanging around filth and then hooked up to the patient with no sterilization technique. This place should be shut down. Will be filing a complaint with AHCA immediately to have it investigated. I'm in absolute disgust how a facility could operate in this manner. read more

THIS LADY IS INSANE! Everyone's bad comments are completely accurate and well said. They will schedule you an appointment say you're going to see her if you get to see her she will spend five minutes with you after waiting 2 hours in filthy office and not address your medical need. She will run you around to bill you and keep telling you to come back . Someone lost there leg because of her misdiagnosis. Forgot getting your prescription called in. Office is mass confusion. No one answers the phone. Office staff is incompetent and frazzled. Appointments are completely overbooked. Office is dirty and unkempt inside and out. Worn-out, dirty, dated furniture. No one explains anything, therefore, patients have no clue what the procedures are. No coordination whatsoever between the infusion center and Sastry office regarding blood test orders, appointments, etc. Infusion Center looks unsanitary and you get a very disconcerting feeling knowing all the people crammed into the rooms are all suffering from some kind of possibly contagious infection. There appears to be no attempt to sanitize anything. Doctor spends 10 seconds with patient reviewing blood work. This could be done over the phone. Office and infusion center only open a few morning hours. It's the biggest mess of a medical office I have ever seen. I am amazed County inspectors allow it to continue to operate. read more

Let's also look at the cleanliness of the office. The waiting area is nice, but when you get your IV therapy, you are surrounded by a dirty bathroom. Bugs flying out of the magazines and just overall dirty. You are having Antibiotic IV therapy because you have an infection and you might catch something else sitting there. read more

Hope you have all day to wait. Bring your lunch, your med''s, plenty of smokes etc. This is the most confused, over booked, understaffed untrained office of any kind I have ever been to. The people are nice, but cannot run an office correctly. I know half the Dr's in town most are great and their staff gets the job done. Most know how to book the number of people they can handle. I go to various Dr.'s constantly with elderly Parents so I KNOW bad when i see it. We tried 3 times here...never again....Plus it is NOT just us each time there were people loudly complaining. Every possible mistake will occur here that would rarely happen elsewhere. If you are diabetic bring your lunch etc... I am not joking. I wish i had a seat cushion..some people smoked a dozen cig's before they were called...to then sit and wait in a "waiting room"....we are talking hours our fastest time was 2 hrs to be seen for under 5 minutes. read more
