If you're not a member you need to come during staff hours which are limited. It's one floor down from street level to get to the reception, the dressing rooms, most of the machines, the stretch/TRX area and the ladies only section (nice element of gender discrimination there.) One floor down from there is the cardio machines (treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, etc), the free weights, the cable machines, a spinning hall and a room for fitness classes. So keep in mind that on leg day you'll have two flights of stairs to climb to get out! Since the cardio machines are two floors down you have no internet connectivity there - so you can't watch Netflix on your iPad while you're on the Stair Master, bummer. The place is modern and tidy - but the cheap membership comes at a price: If a machine is malfunctioning/broken (or weight locks or snaplinks go missing) it takes weeks before that's resolved. Also, it gets pretty crowded at times (especially right after office hours, and in January.)

Definitely found the right one! This was a magical experience. The hotel is beautiful, and just screams luxury. I checked in early, because I wanted to have some extra time in the wet areas, and not feel rushed. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted with a robe, flip flops, and a locker to place my items. The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge were all fantastic additions to prepare me for my massage. The massage was wonderful (it was a guy, which at first made me nervous but turned out great), and I left feeling completely relaxed. I did mine in the evening, which was perfect because I was able to shower and go straight to bed! My only complaint would be that it was quite warm in there, so I did sweat, but who doesn't want all the toxins out of your body?! Especially after all the lovely wine and mead on my vacation! No pics as cameras are not allowed!

We got there an hour early to enjoy the myriad of features they had before the massage. In the women's only locker there was a cold plunge, waterfall shower, and sauna. In the co-ed shared space there was a small indoor pool, a room which seemed like a giant jacuzzi, and a steam room. After using all the amenities, we had a wonderful 90 minute Swedish Massage upstairs in their treatment rooms. Fantastic massage and a must while in Stockholm.
