I've used SavATree Bedford for many years, with moderate satisfaction, but last year was the last time. They were doing some spraying of trees, and knocked over some ringed peony (and other) plants and damaged/killed them with the hose. i took pictures of the damage, and where they had dragged the hose. It took quite a while to get any agreement, but after that, settling it took even longer. I would summary my experience as: (1) Sloppy work (2) Slow responses (3) Presumptuous attitude == placed the burden on me to be at home at their favored times (4) Bad portal -- tried to pay many many times, but could not log into my account, I notified them many times but they just said I had to cal (5) By the time they finally fixed this (well, I did -- turns out you have to reset your password in JUST the right way), there were additional late charges on the bill. There was no way to change the amount to be paid. Instead of going through the process again I just paid it as the price of exit. read more

Horrible customer service. The employees took out my internet right when I was starting a meeting with a very important client. They then tried to cover it up by tying the broken cable around a utility pole on one end and a bush at the bottom of my driveway on the other end. I even found the workers safety glasses at the bottom of my driveway. The supervisor in Nocross, GA denied any wrong doing and was very condescending. DO NOT USE DISHONEST COMPANY. read more

Their crew is working on our neighbors trees.. they dropped huge branches into my yard, breaking the roof on our pump house. When I told them about it, 1 of the workers came over, walked on our rock retaining wall and broke it.. I called the office to complain and the person told me they would "let the operations manager know". I asked if that meant they would come clean up their mess, fix my retaining wall and fix my pump house roof, the person just said "I'll let him know". I've got pictures and video.. I used All-American Lawn and Teee Service 2 weeks ago, and there was not a single issue with any neighbors property. read more

Not sure how this company makes money, but if they do, I doubt the reason is customer service. Called them several weeks ago about tree trimming. Someone did come out--albeit a bit late but not excessively so; he seemed competent and after looking at the trees, told me he would send me an estimate. I waited week for the estimate, and nothing come. I emailed the company and received a prompt response saying the person who had come out had been on holiday, but would soon send me an estimate. I waited another week or two, still no estimate. I tried one final time to contact the company and was told once again the estimate would be forthcoming. But it never came. I never got a reason why they didn't send an estimate. Perhaps because I don't live in Greenwich or Darien, I don't know. I do think they should have had the decency to tell me the reason they were not interested in doing the work. read more

Let me start off by saying I typically only like to give good yelp reviews but this was a serious matter that the public should be aware of before even considering using their services! Would not recommend!!! My family used this company and all I can say is how unsafe they are if you have kids or pets! Not only did our family dog get sick but my father got sick from the apple tree that they sprayed. They came out twice and we told them that we eat the apples from the trees but the dog likes to eat them when they fall off. When we asked what they use and if they are safe they would not give us an answer. Not only are we paying vet bills for the dog getting extremely sick (vomiting and seizures) but a family member also ended up having to be rushed to the ER for seizures. I'm glad we had moved our family reunion or my nieces and nephews could have ended up in the same if not worse situation. My family have been eating these apples for over 45 years without any issues now we no longer can enjoy an experience that has been passed down throughout generations all thanks to this company. We are NEVER going to use them again, and truly regretting not looking into their reviews before contacting them. Don't even try to call them because they won't give you answers only some BS that puts the blame on us. The reviews here are surprisingly rough given that my own experience was excellent. After a recent storm my neighbor was having some downed tree limbs removed and I met Michael Barker from SavATree. I needed some tree work done so I invited Michael into my yard. He surveyed everything, made his recommendations (which matched mine) and provided a verbal estimate. My intention was to seek competing bids, but after seeing the work they performed next door and receiving a written estimate matching exactly what I was quoted in person, I pulled the trigger and hired SavATree. Within 48 hours they had scheduled my work for the following week. The crew showed up on time with all of the required equipment to complete the job. They worked quickly and efficiently, removing 6 trees, grinding stumps and hauling everything away. A part of my fence needed to be removed so that equipment could be brought into my yard. They disassembled and reassembled the fence without damaging anything and returned everything to it's prior condition. All of the work was done in one day and everything that they were contracted to do was completed in its entirety. When I received my final invoice there were no surprises, no upcharges and no BS. The end cost was exactly what Michael and I had discussed and agreed upon on day 1. To summarize: fast, efficient, reliable and an excellent value. Not sure what else you could ask for. The employee showed up, talked with my wife, asked about area to treat (grub, weed, fertilizer). She told him house and guest house lawn. He complained that he didn't have to do that much lawn 4 yrs ago. We have owned the house for a year, and yes we contracted for all of it. He went around on his cart and sprayed everything. A week later we have 50% of the lawn dead. ​ I was so disgusted I didn't want to think of my lawn anymore, knowing I'll never have these people back to my property, and I will now have tons of work ahead of me. I called them several weeks later to make sure they close my account and never set foot on my property again. They wanted their customer service guy to call me. He did. Said wish you'd told us about the problem earlier, and he would have come out. For what? ​It was too late. read more

I do not recommend their lawn care services. My lawn was fine before they touched it and they did not improve it- in fact I now get to fix things this spring. 1. The treatments they provided, I didn't see any improvements. 2. I had two young fruit trees that were doing well, until they treated my lawn. They got too close and killed my trees. 3. Fall Seeding/aeration- well they did it in the rain. Tore up my lawn in several spots. I thought "Well, there's seed it will come back in the spring". The service provided was the absolute worst. While I do not expect all the weeds to die after one application, after two I do expect to see some results. Nope! They were actually growing better than the grass! Called and emailed multiple times and was told they would come "look" at it. Nothing. Call and email again. Nothing. Fast to send a bill tho! Absolutely pissed off...... I had started up with savatree about a year ago and the services were promising of great looking grass and bug/grub control and I did the deer-tech program. I paid for so many layers of services and yet my lawn looks like crap. The service men that come to my property don't care at all and may smile but they have a bad attitude .... Like a go away even though I'm on your property attitude...... I had a great deertech, nice young man, was friendly and all but now I have no idea where he went but I have this new guy and doesn't seem to know anything about it or the program or how to fix my pest control unit things, I have no idea where the other young man is and I fear they gave me a new technician that know nothing about how this all works. Please don't go to his company they really are awful.... You burn your money for no reason get no results and the technicians that you enjoy they change on you.... Not good service...... read more

The absolute worst customer service experience! They tried to "save" our Japanese maple (for $1k+) and when it died they agreed to cut it down and remove it at no additional cost ONLY if we had other work done. We stupidly agreed. They charged us when they cut the tree down and then they never completed the work (stump removal THAT WE PAID FOR!) My husband has left countless messages, sent emails, and spoken to people at the company but alas ... nothing. Seriously, the worst of the worst. If you want to get ripped off, definitely hire these guys. Otherwise, I recommend looking elsewhere. There are a lot of good tree people in the area that would be happy to have the work and not rip you off. read more

I was left with an uncomfortable feeling after using their services. They offered me a fair price, had the necessary equipment, came on time but left my property a mess and didn't finish all of the smaller details we agreed upon. Only after withholding payment did they return to clean up but they still left an item undone. If you use their services, which were professional, make sure you have all the details agreed upon and review all of their work before remitting payment. read more

As far as my love for savatree, its honestly on/off, some days the prices are great and other days it's so expensive that I myself don't even know how they stay in business. They do great lawn work and the programs seem to work great but the tree work could be cheaper! I find wayyy cheaper prices all the time now (don't know why it takes 3 guys 3 hours to cut and chip on tree on my lawn for so long the guys out on my property could not explain why it was taking so long). The one program I actually enjoy is actually my deertech program, young man named dominic is always looks around my property checking on any and all issues and is a happy face to talk too. I feel savatree does a good job but could improve more as a company in certain services and how much services are as a whole. read more

Our condominium complex in Ossining, NY has had great service from Brad Gurr, a certified Arborist, and SavaTree professionals from Briarcliff Manor NY Tree and Lawn Servicefor several years now. We know we can count on them when we have an emergency whether it is a tree struck by lightning or a limb down in a winter storm. The company shows up promptly and the issue is taken care of. We also receive regular tree care, treatment and inspections to keep our many trees looking great and insect and parasite free. Our annual pruning helps us to identify and remove dead limbs and trees and trim the trees through our 125 unit complex. We just recently had a huge tree hit by lightning and it was very close to a building. Brad evaluated our situation, and the tree was removed before any damage occurred. And just this week, a large limb came down on an apple tree and within hours, it was pruned and the area cleaned up and all the apples on the ground removed. Brad Gurr makes routine inspections of our property and is very familiar with our trees and our property. We are very pleased we are in expert hands - great results and professional service! Three reviews, all zeroes -- and always excuses -- just as I said. After our lawn actually looked worse than before SavATree started, I asked what was wrong. I was told: "give us more money for items we did not tell you about before and we will make your lawn better." As I am not a big fan of bait and switch tactics, and crappy lawn services, I declined. At no point did they make any effort to fix the mistakes, just asked for more money. They were paid, of course, because their billing is simply stellar. Not surprisingly, even after they were paid we still received multiple dunning letters a day and threatening emails. Even collections are incompetent. Oh and we used them multiple years and they just kept getting worse. Do not use, never use, ever. read more

I used these guys ONE time, when my regular guy was not available. Well, they not only charged THREE times as much as my regular guy, did NOT do a better job, BUT.....and here's the kicker...........encouraged me to move two small trees from where they had been doing okay to a larger open area. Sadly, I listened to these incompetents, because the two trees, which had been doing fine for years, are now dying, almost dead. Quoted $270/hr for three men to clear snow off my roof and they would also bill me for travel time. Their office is 30 minutes from my home. They sent two men who worked for 2 hours 5 minutes and billed me for four hours = $1,180. OUTRAGEOUS!! I will never use them for anything again and I also let my friend (that referred them) know about it. 7/9 - Merrick thanks for your reply however untrue. I paid Savatree for 3 hours and 35 minutes at a rate of $180/hour (I believe that was $645 plus tax). I am still awaiting a reply from accounting. Wanda and I spoke yesterday. I wasted $850 trying to save a line of boxwoods leading up to my house. Sav a Tree was confident they could be saved- my landscaper warned me I was wasting my money- and he was right. My lawn seemed like it was doing better, April, May, June and then it turned into a weed garden. I had crabgrass everywhere. I called to get someone here with no reply. I told the company to send someone to see the weeds or cancel my account..So, not one person called or ever came. Save a lawn is Very Very expensive and customer service is Terrible, it's like nobody cares.
