I've only been here a couple times but each time has been a really quick and easy experience. The employees here are very helpful, I was actually looking for a specific beer one time for my father-in-law and they didn't have any out on the floor so when I asked an employee if he knew another spot in a store that they had any he said no but that he would check in the back for me. I really appreciated that just because he didn't have to and I didn't request it so that was really nice of him. The prices are comparable to Luckys grocery store, I think they are cheaper than Safeway but pricier than Walmart. But the experience here is really nice and clean and air-conditioned, so far I have not had a bad experience yet. I personally also really appreciate how clean they keep the store, you walk in and there is just so much space and it looks tidy and pretty to shop in lol. read more

I went to Save Mart yesterday and was questioned by an associate name Olivia who had disturbingly oversized gums and small teeth about why I was purchasing so many bottles of alcohol. The tequila I was purchasing is usually 20 dollars a bottle and Save Mart had them for $11.99 a bottle. I purchased some earlier in the week and decided to go back and purchase more because it was such a good deal. She never greeted me, never asked me did I need help she just hovered over me asking me why I was opening the box and I let her know because I plan on buying the whole thing. She says you know those are sold individually it's not $11.99 a box. I told her I know that already but I want the box. I also informed her that I had just purchased some earlier in the week so I know how much they are and she just kept going on about how people usually just by them individually and how she is not used to seeing someone by that many and I let her know well I have money so I can afford to buy as many as I want. When I got to the line with my 26 bottles of tequila she starts telling the cashier to make sure she rings the bottles up individually which the cashier was already doing. I told her to let me buy my alcohol in peace and she starts saying how she doesn't drink and I let her know that was her business not mine. She was so concerned about the amount of bottles I was purchasing which she thought was expensive because the bottles were so small but had no clue that was the cheapest you can find Don Julio 1942 personal bottles. I purchased 26 bottles for my family gathering this weekend. Instead of her questioning me about why I'm opening the box and why I'm purchasing so many what she should have done was greeted me, offered me a cart and thanked me for shopping but she did none of that! Savemart must have a new person frying the chicken or perhaps the fryer timer was broken because their chicken WAS RAW! Savemart always had the best fried chicken, cooked to perfection, juicy and moist. For years, We would always order 50 piece mix. Last month, we placed a huge order for our fathers funeral and imagine taking your first bite of the fried chicken and it was LITERALLY RAW and you can see the blood! It was not a few pieces of chicken, it was the whole batch! We were so embarrassed because we had premade plates we passed out. The other 2x my daughter pre ordered for a family potluck, same thing! Besides that I like this store but can be very pricey so watch for sales. But 100% do not trust the sanitariness of prepared food. Let me start by recognizing the the excell-ent employees at this store, Lucy(cashier) and Joe(store manager). I had an incident with Emilio the (store manager in training) a few weeks ago, and the store manager Joe rectified the issues with Emilio's poor customer service and poor attitude. I was also given a gift card for being embarrassed, having my time wasted and being treated as a second class citizen. Today I went to the store with my elderly crippled mom and myself having health issues. I wanted to get ceviche and the weekend sale of ribs for 2.99lbs. The butcher Johnathan said it would take at least a half hour to make ceviche ( and the person who makes it normally is not there today. I said fine where are the ribs pork ribs for 2.99lbs and he showed me me the sign for the ribs on sale and that he had none cut. I said I need two new packs of 2.99lbs ribs. He mislabeled them at 4.99lbs and I said they are 2.99lbs and he said it will ring up correctly at the register which I said no it wont, which it did not. He tried to give me a lesson before leaving the meat department about pricing and as usual my experience with him was not pleasant. When I went back in to get a refund for the correct price Emilio did not know how to issue the refund and had Wanda help him. Later that day I find that the decaf coffee I bought was already open. I called Emilio and told him to have a gift card and my coffee ready and I would be there in 5 mins. When I went back around 4:30PM, Richard and Emilio did not have the coffee or gift card and refused to issue a gift card after wasting my time in the morning and then me having to go back at evening. Joe is on vacation currently, but like I said he seems to really care. Emilio is bad for Savemart as a whole. He is rude, snarky and has no sense of customer service. I'm sure I am not the only customer he has had a run in with in the short time he has been there. Richard had no business interjecting his negative opinion and making the situation worse as Emilio was making the situation worse already. I called customer service as well. This is no way to treat people. I will update if anything new happens, but I will not be back in the interim or if ever. read more

Minus two stars due to the prices, but it's also understandable that when you were the only grocery store in town for so long, don't really blame them. Now that Walmart came to town and has their own grocery section you can see how much more their prices really are. As far as all the reviews on the bad customer service, I don't see It. All of the employees are very courteous and helpful. Even the young baggers who don't make squat are professional about their job, always offering to help loading bags into your car. Most of the time they have a decent selection of fruits and vegetables. I think better than Walmart by far. Lots to choose from in the meat and seafood department but the prices tend to get high. They do have a deli and bakery, although I don't usually bother with those sections. Lastly there is a Wells Fargo inside next to the pharmacy. read more

April 24 2024 tuve una muy mala experiencia dentro de la tienda, como a las 11 de la mañana en SAVE MART estaba en línea para ir al banco que está dentro de la tienda, cuando noté que mi cartera no estaba en mi bolsa, la busqué en el estacionamiento creyendo que la había perdido o dejado en mi carro, al no encontrarla acudí a las empleadas de la tienda si podían hablar con el manejador para que revisaran el video para saber si la había tirado o alguien la encontró. siendo una clienta desde que la tienda abrió en esta ciudad de Patterson no pusieron ningún interés en darme ninguna ayuda solamente me contestó una Empleada deja tu número de teléfono si alguien la regresa te hablamos, el manejador de la tienda está ocupado en una llamada por teléfono!!! en un término de 30 minutos empecé a recibir llamadas de las compañías de mis tarjetas donde me decían que había un intento de compras! no la perdí me la robaron enfrente del banco, cuando ya hice el reporte de la policía regresé por la noche como a las 9 a las nueve y resulta de qué enfrente del banco y dentro de esa tienda de prestigio me lo habían sacado de mi bolsa y no me prestaron ninguna ayuda miraron en el video, y no fueron buenos para reportarlo que decepción con una tienda que se supone que es una tienda de tanto prestigio, el único que tuvo un poquito de interés por la noche que regrese con la esperanza de encontrar una información y me ayudó un poco fue uno de los manejadores BRYAN disiendome que ahí fue en la tienda, al siguiente día regresé de nuevo a ver si me tenían información y quise hablar con el supervisor de la corporación y resulta que ni siquiera le habían informado nada! me pregunto qué clase de comunicación y que es el respeto que le tienen al público los clientes no les interesan parece que solamente es el dinero!!! read more

Unfortunately, like many stores in Patterson, Save Mart sets the standard for poor customer service and high prices. I do agree that their bakery is decent. Until recently, it was impossible just to find a hand basket to use in the store. The employees were apparently too lazy to bring them from the check outs to the door. The staff can be unfriendly. These types of problems often start from the top in a business. I have to wonder about the management. I look forward to reasonable prices and a competitor in our little city. read more

I want to thank the deli staff for creating the beautiful and delicious party platters for my moms 70th birthday party!! I placed a very large order, I was nervous that something might go wrong.... but thankfully it was a wonderful experience!! I also ordered 4 different cakes for the event... all the guests kept asking me where I got them from!! They were a huge hit very delicious for "grocery store" cakes!! I will never ever buy a meat here . They are about to expired the next day . I missed to look at the expiration date . The veggies and fruits are fresh most of the time . They hike up their price to the extreme thou ..So need to be careful and look at the price all the time . Some of the cashiers are friendly . The only reason that I am giving this review is for the wonderful clerk, Clarysela. She was kind, helpful and I felt respected.. UNLIKE ERNESTO or JAMES....We are a large group that tell everyone to please not shop at SAVEMART, their meat is disgusting and they don't stand behind their food. My mom wanted to return some steak for my grandma who can't afford bad meat and Ernesto weighed it and shamed her. I'm not the grocery shopper in the house but when I can't make it to whole foods, save mart has really nice grass fed organic meats now and also a wide variety of fresh meats unlike the place across the street. I believe that this particular save mart is the worst one I've ever been to. Why is it that I can find the same products at a Modesto location for approximately 25% less? This store is over priced, has extremely rude cashiers, and there are always long lines. The management seems to only care about payroll percentage. Cannot wait for Walmart. Since the day they opened they have been way overpriced in comparison to Turlock or Modesto stores. I've always tried to make the 40 minute trip to Turlock for my groceries. On the occasions that I couldn't get to Turlock I shopped here. My choices were Savemart or an independent store that always smelled like rotting meat. Savemart was the worst of two evils. Sooo overpriced and customer service was mediocre. They did however have a nice produce selection. When they give you your receipt they say "You saved $xxx" I once told the cashier "I saved over what? Growing an apple orchard myself?" She smirked. I'd like to believe that she was in agreement with me but couldn't comment. On one of my last visits to Savemart I noticed several men in suits with hand baskets "shopping". In my 15 years living here I've seen maybe 2 suited men! Secret shoppers? Not very secret. You should have researched the area better to fit in. I could hardly wait for WalMart to open. Once they did I swore to never return to Savemart. Unfortunately WM didn't have some cheese I wanted. I begrudgingly had to go to SM. What I found was the cheese that used to be priced as $10.99 on sale for $7.99 (on sale every day for 3 years) was now $12.99 on sale for $10.99! Lame! No cheese for me. I have now changed brands or products entirely to avoid going to SM for those extra things. They have taken advantage of the Patterson residents with their grocery monopoly for far too long. They do have a pharmacy that takes my healthcare plan so I don't have to drive to Modesto. Called the main SM number today to get a refill. I was told that the pharmacy has their own phone number now and he couldn't transfer me. I asked if they are still inside the store-yes but he couldn't transfer me. I find that odd. On the good side, the pharmacy personnel is always nice and professional. Even if you are against WM for personal reasons you can't ignore saving $$$ by avoiding SM. read more
