This is a nice chilled out cafe with excellent prices. It's got a few French-themed foods, but most of it could be bought anywhere. It's got comfy sofas, wobbly tables and music you'll either love or hate, but it's spacious and friendly and doesn't suffer from the Oxford syndrome of pretending it's sophisticated just because it's in Oxford.
They do generous hot drinks, milkshake/smoothie things and bottles, and the cakes are similar, with a range of home-made and some surprisingly good packaged muffins. They also do very reasonably priced simple meals such as jacket potatoes.
It's a good place to chill with friends, or to pop into on your way to or from the station, but it can be quite noisy with all the drinks machines going, and seeing as it sells snacks to cover all situations, it can be easy to spend far too long in there! read more
