All feature crisp crusts and great solid texture unlike the mushy industrial breads at the supermarkets. Their lunch sandwiches are a treat as well. And beyond the breads the pastries and cakes are great as well. Even the pizzas offered Thursday evenings are excellent. The staff are friendly as well, but it can get very busy so a wait can be expected. The bread is a bit pricier than average at about £3 each, but you get what you pay for. They even offer half loaves as well. Also by afternoon you'll have only a choice of what's left, but we've never been disappointed. If you love great bread this is the place for you.

There is a fruit and veg stall inside and outside the frontage of the shop. A few tables and chairs are situated outside, which is a nice little spot to soak up some sunshine. They do a limited range of sandwiches, which does include some healthy options, but the focus is on good stodgy pies and the like. They also serve drinks and a limited range of packaged snacks. This Bakers oven is bases right in the centre of town near the clock tower, and although its a very small store and is a nightmare to gain access to if you have a buggy or wheelchair or walker etc, but the staff are very effiecent and the queue always tends to go down very quickly.
