THIS NAIL SALON IS NO LONGR BLACK OWNED. I found on Yelp and wanted to try a black owned nail salon. It has a new owner and the customer service is horrible. I decided to stay even though they are not black owned. I asked the older lady for a basic pedicure and the lady could barely polish my nails and the older man who did my nails with gel PEELED the same day!!! I had 3 nails peeling. I went ack and they made the SAME older man repolish my nails and the PEELED AGAIN IN ONE DAY!! I have never experienced this at any other nail salon. It was strange on other visits I noticed how all of the African Americans were given these 2 way older techs and everyone else had the younger more experienced techs. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

First time here and I had a great experience. Jeff did a FANTASTIC job on my dip manicure. Took longer than expected but in this case, they're so perfect that I can't even complain. The reviews mention the prices being high but I paid $42 and other places I've paid $50. The salon is nicely decorated & clean. I was even offered wine which was so needed. First time here, won't be returning. The website is out of date. I wanted the most expensive manicure, which is listed as "The Rock Star Glitter Manicure." They didn't know what I was talking about, which made me feel awkward. Positive: nail techs wore masks and my gel polish application was sufficient. Negatives: staff catered to their regular customers and I felt rushed. I was left alone for 10 minutes with a hot towel wrap that turned cold on my hands. I have minor, healed cuts on my arms, one hand from my cats and felt like I was being judged as "unclean." The hand massage was supposed to be 10 minutes, it was 3. Also, I never received the sugar scrub for my hands. Finally, I was initially asked if I wanted a pedicure, but couldn't because of a foot injury. I wasn't made to feel welcomed and it seemed like I was going to be told to go away by staff. Like, they had to think if they were going to let me sit down or not. I only came here because the other salon I go to in Cerritos was too busy. I regret coming here. read more

So disappointed. Been coming here for years, gotten lash extensions & nails with no issue. Got them done on Sunday, 2 nails were broken by Monday. (Both middle fingers). Called right away they asked me to come in. I did, she rushed since she had someone else. I wanted to see the foil designs since the girl next to me had them done(they were so cute ) & she said yea yea next time! Next time. Didnt blame her since she was busy, however I paid $47+tip for nails that broke the next day. Fast forward to Thursday and we are down two more. Left hand. (Im not even a leftie) & yes the lady mentioned something about my nails being too thin however I've gotten my nails done for years & i literally have to get them taken off. I called again. They offered to redo the whole set. No thanks. Just want my money back at this point. She said "you've had them for a week and we are offering to do them again" lol. I asked for the owner. I've seen this place a thousand times in passing. It's been a challenge finding a new nail shop or nail lady for that matter. On a Saturday afternoon, I made a call to see if they had any openings, and they did. I wanted to get dip powder done and was happy to hear they offered it, $35. Walking in, I mentioned I had an appt and gave them my name, the lady was a little confused so I wasn't sure if they even had me assigned to anyone, but then asked me to write my name on the list anyways. After about 10 mins wait, I got seated and had Stacey as my nail tech. She cleaned off the dark green polish I had, not completely thorough since she would be using the electric filer. I picked color #26. I'm impressed by the shape she created for my nails. I've said this in my other nail shop reviews how I am very particular with the shaping of my nails, but she did a really good job with them. I wanted a more rounded almond shape and she gave it to me even though she didn't quite understand what I was asking for. I still ended up reshaping a few at home, but like a said, I'm really particular. Overall, I think she did a good job and kept the paint looking thin and not a bubble blob. The only thing I would ask her to be mindful of is how close she got with the electric filer and my skin. In getting the cuticles, she got too close to my nail bed and cut me. Stung for a couple of days, but I'll survive. Also, there isn't much of a treatment after. I've had hand massages and scrubs done after the service. All they do is wrap a hot towel over your hands and wipe everything down. read more

They didn't know how to shape my nails and ended up removing them entirely. I had to visit another nail shop afterward. Now I'll be waiting months for my big toenails to grow back. The positives are that everyone is friendly. The guy who did my gel mani did a good job and took his time to get it done perfectly. However, I personally like a fast manicure. I wanna be in and out in one hour tops. I could immediately tell he was pretty slow, so I let him know I didn't need a massage or cuticle cutting. It still took a solid hour for the manicure. Also, is that then a manicure- or a color change?? I paid $39 w tip. Second, omg, it is extremely stuffy in there. Not an ounce of air circulating. I couldn't wait to leave. They had the front door open, but I was no where near it. Finally, the salon is filthy. I was panicking looking around at the walls, sink, floor, windows. Everything was dirty, scuffed, stained by polish, and dusty. They are in desperate need of weekly cleaning and some fresh paint. It's very unsettling to see this. Especially bcs they have a cute concept for the salon. But you can't wanna be a savvy chic cottage and be that dirty and dusty. You just cannot. Although I thought the guy who did my service was super kind and did do a great job (even though he took longer than I would've liked), I'd rather pay $10 more and go elsewhere. read more

I came here in search of a person who did dipping powder nails as I am allergic to acrylic. Initially Kevin was giving me a hard time because I wanted clear dip powder and gel polish on top. He kept refusing to do it saying it would damage my nails, etc. Kelly told him that he needed to do whatever the customer asks for, he was still not budging. I was upset initially because I'm paying for the service, if that's how I want it then just do your job and deliver to the customer. The whole time he was doing my nails he seemed upset so in my mind I thought "this is my first and last time here." After he showed me how my nails would look, which was like a natural pink dip powder, I really like it and let go of the gel idea on top of the dip powder. Ever since then I've been coming here lol now we just laugh about it because I tell him "yeah you didn't want to do my nails the way I wanted them." I can honestly say that he's one of the best techs that they have. My nails now last for about three weeks maybe even four. Last week I decided to get a pedicure and I absolutely loved it. I forgot to get the techs name however she was amazing. She goes above and beyond to ensure she removes ingrowns without ruining ur toe nail or hurting you. I then asked how much for gel for her because their watered down polish came off the next day the last time I brought her. They charge 12 dollars extra for both. 24 dollars on top of the 28 for a kids gel mani pedi. How does that make sense. A bottle of gel polish is 12 dollarsi. Also, The last time we came we were offered beverages. Not this time. My daughter had to ask. They dont listen they painted my daughters nails the wrong color. My friends French tip was crooked. Mine were panted sloppy and I'm overall dissatisfied.The overall experience is not worth the price. I will not be back. read more
