I order catering from them almost every other month for our in office meeting since 2022. Our office is located in Grand Central area, and given enough notice, they will deliver for a reasonable charge. The food is always delicious. The price is very reasonable. $800 for a full tray of beef dish, a full tray of pork dish, a full tray of chicken dish, a full tray of white rice, a full tray of yellow rice, a full tray of macaroni salad, and half a tray of green salad. That's enough food to feed 30 people and with a lot of left over to take home. Comparing this to way over a thousand dollars for just cold sandwiches from catering places in the city, this is a bargain. I came through with some friends recently and was very happy with their food and price! I got white rice and red beans, turkey wing, and a chicken empanada. It was a large portion, and totaled me $7.50, which is incredible! You can't go wrong with the rice and beans, well made and flavorful! The turkey wing was meaty, well spiced, and so big it needed to be broken in half to fit in the container. The empanada I was excited for, however it had almost no filling, which was a disappointment. But honestly, I ate the fried dough pocket anyway, because fried dough is still good! read more

Not a fan of the no gloves wearing. The server was putting my food into a container and a piece of the cod fish fell on to her hand and she just pushed it right into my container with the spoon . I def through the entire fish into the garbage. It was too unsettling for me. read more

Same as the comment below, got charged 4.00 for 1 taco when the price on the board and printed menus were 3.50. When I asked about it, they pointed to the "prices subject to change without notice" on the menu, which is a a cop out and abused at their whim and used to discriminate against non-Spanish speaking customers like myself. If you don't honor your listed prices, maybe you shouldn't be in business. Restaurant is dirty, grimy, sticky and hot. Food is extremely mediocre for the price - my chicken tacos turned out to be bland unseasoned rotisserie chicken stuffed into taco shells with CUBED cheese and bland salsa verde. It's like they don't even out any effort into making an edible taco. What a waste of time and money. May this place go out of business quick. read more

The pig feet is amazing. I ordered one tripe soup , yellow rice with chicken gizzards and pig feet..For 13 dollar It tasted good but everything was very salty except the pig feet. Waiting for my food in the warm interior of Sazon Nunez was a pleasant respite from the bitter cold of an unforgiving New York winter. Unfortunately, the steam from the buffet table covers every surface in condensation, and seeing mold growth on the ceiling near the entrance can be a bit off-putting. If you're not some hygiene-ninny and just want to get your Latin cuisine on, then just try not to look up (out of sight, out of mind, right?). Hopefully this is less of an issue in the warmer months. You choose a main dish first-- prices range from $5-9 and comes with rice and beans. Sides are extra. But trust me, it's plenty of food already. If you're polite and want something in particular that's not on the table, they may be able to custom make a request for you. My friend wanted some obscure plantain dish and the staff were gracious enough to go to the back and make it for her, and charged the same price range. Portions are generous and it tastes like some good, satisfying comfort food. Card minimum is $10, and be prepared to pay a little extra if you choose the plastic option (cash is still king). I love Sazon Nunez for what it is (don't be expecting some hipster haute cuisine bouge), and its proximity to the subway makes it a great option to swing by to grab some takeout on your way home. read more

They charged me $7, $8, $9 and $10 recently depends who I am with. I wish they are more honest on their price. #Like I've said before, I'm on a soup kick. I like the Chicken soup here. I'm low carb though, so I try not to eat the noodles, but the noodles basically become the #soup when you eat it. I've tried other #soups here and I don't like them. But I like the Chicken soup. 5 stars for that. read more

So freaking delicious! Came here after going to a bar nearby, perfect drunk munchie food. I got the Pernil platter, which comes with Pernil, beans, and spanish rice. The food was cooked with love and the taste proves it. My friend had the Chuletas Fritas (Fried Pork Chops) and he said they were equally as good, a little dry but tasty. Fast, friendly service on top of their fresh, hot, and succulent food makes this place one of my local favorites. The prices are excellent, they fill you up without breaking the bank. Let me start by saying I've tried pretty much EVERYTHING they make and its all amazing. My favorites include the seafood salad with shrimp, squid and fresh peppers and onions. I was sitting inside waiting for my order on a cold wet March day when a homeless man walked in. I've seen him around the neighborhood and I know the guy from the bodega on the corner of the block has given him free bags of potato chips when I was in there buying coffee. This homeless man goes up to the counter and points out what he wants. They serve him and he sits and eats. I was wondering how he could afford a plate of food when he couldn't even afford a bag of chips. When I went to pay I was checking myself because I thought I stepped in dog poop. The owner apologized for the smell, I hadn't realized it but the smell was the homeless man who was sitting in the corner. She told me this. She said, "I don't know what to do, some people are rude to him and they will say something to him, that he stinks and he should leave. But that's wrong. He comes in and I serve him a plate of food. He doesn't have any money. But what am I supposed to do? I sell food and he is hungry. So I let him eat." I told her that If it was my restaurant I would probably do the same as her. I said, "you know what, it might not be great for business. But God sees what you are doing. He is hungry and you feed him. The people who are mean to him don't realize how blessed they are." I only hope that with the quickly gentrifying neighborhood people like her aren't pushed out or bought out. Her heart and compassion towards our neighbor and community is what Bushwick, Brookyln, New York city and the whole world really needs more of right now. read more

this Spanish restaurant is one of the best in the area, there always so nice, the food is always fresh and delicious and so cheap to feed a whole family or even yourself, I always order for delivery and it's fast like 15 mins the food comes hot and is totally worth every dollar! The food seemed old, like its been reheated a few times. They also have no idea how to serve correct portions of food ,I ordered rice and roasted chicken she filled everything up with rice and literally gave me a little drumstick usually places give u the drumstick attached to more chiken.If I wanted to eat a huge plate of rice only I woulve ordered it I thought it was ridiculous these ppl have no idea about proper portions ! I have visited this place only a couple of times and I must say that I have never been impressed. Their food is mediocre at best including the dried up rotisserie chicken or the stew chicken. Secondly, they have this really XTRA small bowl that they sell at different prices depending on the day, your occupation and nationality lol, even if all you get is chicken, rice and beans. I have observed them just making up prices to different people depending on how they feel and who is sharing the food. To me this is outrageous. Secondly, I ordered a 7 dollar dish of rice beans/chicken and the lady had the nerve to give me 2 piece of chicken. I had to ask for another piece and she took up the smallest piece of chicken to give me. This is the same 2 pieces of chicken you get if you ordered the xtra small plate. IF I wanted to pay 7 dollars for more rice, I would have ordered more rice. Leg and thigh is like the cheapest meat you can find , and I just feel like if I am paying 7/8 dollars for a meal I should get at least 4 pieces of meat and not a bowl of carbohydrates.
