Steve and Brenda did US the honor of providing their services during our recent wedding reception. They were extremely engaged with the process and made us feel very secure in our decision from the outset. They made themselves available prior to the event so that they would know where to set up and also assisted in a last minute addition of playing our wedding video on a projector without a thought. During the event they did everything that you expect a DJ to do, took requests, provided announcements and were very attentive to the point of noticing that a song that they were playing was clearing the dance floor, so they immediately segued into a different song. Simply put they provided a level of service above and beyond any of the other vendors or service providers that we worked with during the planning and execution of our wedding and reception. The thank you card that we received a week after our event was icing on the proverbial wedding cake. I honestly don't know where to begin. We hired this DJ for a work convention expecting at least a…read morebasic level of professionalism and competence, we got neither. The music selection was baffling: outdated tracks, random genre shifts, and bizarre song choices that absolutely killed the vibe. At one point, he played a remix of Baby Shark during dinner. Unironically. Requests from the crowd were ignored or brushed off with sarcasm. The mic work? Cringe-worthy. Think awkward jokes, mumbling, and weird pauses. He even managed to botch a scheduled awards announcement, cutting off the speaker mid-sentence with an airhorn sound effect. Yes, an airhorn. Multiple people left early, and the rest of us stayed mainly out of obligation. The dance floor never got going, and the entire evening had this uncomfortable, secondhand-embarrassment energy thanks to this one person who was supposed to enhance the night. If you're considering hiring this DJ, don't. Save your money, your reputation, and your guests' ears.

1st of all, they dropped the ball. They told me that my photographer would contact me 45 days…read morebefore my wedding and I had to call them 30 days before my wedding. The gentleman that answered the phone said that he would just "take the job" The photographer was very friendly and and seemed to understand what I was asking for. I was told that I would get a photographer for 8 hours, 800 photos all touched. I received over 1300 photos and only 90 of them were edited. There are hundreds of pictures of my back, my guests back with my arms wrapped around them. He took very few photos of our faces and did not capture very many moments that we could print and use. He did not give anybody any direction and most of the time I didn't even know where he was. During the ceremony he stood in the back of the church. He captured a picture of the entire room and we are very very small and did not capture our faces very well. There are many pictures that would have been fabulous if they weren't shadowed and the lighting was not adjusted by his camera, or if he simply told people to look at him so he could snap the picture. He also did not use the zoom at all. When capturing pictures of our guests and our wedding party, they are making silly faces, not smiling and posed well. There was a few very specific pictures I asked for and he did not execute that very well. I am very disappointed at $1600 I cannot rephotograph my day. At the end of the day I have a flash drive and alot of work to do in order to create a wedding album.

When we met them both, we immediately knew we wanted them to do our wedding. It was the combo deal that did us in. We were getting all the photos that I could possibly want plus the choice of fun and music for the wedding and reception. We loved all of the ideas and they definitely understood and loved all of ours. This was very important to us because we knew that Anthony would be controlling the flow of the entire night. Also important that Gina get the fun photos and quick and painless family photos that we wanted. We had multiple meetings and much communication back and forth til we were satisfied of what we wanted. Anthony and Gina really did most of the work with just a little guidance from us. Even in emails I received from prior to the wedding, they were just as excited for our wedding as we were- which I loved. I also loved that we could go online and select the music prior to the event at our leisure plus veto also music ahead of times. Gina ran the camera and got in the most important pictures that I was looking for. There's not much that I can say about the actual wedding day besides that it was absolutely amazing and perfect! Cant say enough how smooth everything went from family photos to the fun of the reception. The music, the lights, everything! I would recommend using Shoots and Sounds for any event! :)
