You can pay a little extra and can park your car near by. It is centrally located with easy walking to most places downtown. The cobblestone streets in Bergen are a bit difficult for the elderly. My 81 year old mother struggled with them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I had food poisoning from my last dinner in Bergen they were very good to me and allowed very late checkout.

That room overlooks a lovely garden courtyard surrounded by charming little houses. It has twin beds, which we hadn't known about - but better that than a noisy room. Toiletries weren't provided (not even regular soap), but there's a soap dispenser by the sink and another one in the shower. Also, the towels were very rough. There was a hairdryer, however. The lighting in the room was "fair" - but more importantly, the mattresses were very comfortable. The reception desk staff were all very friendly. Also; I'd sent two e-mails with questions about our reservation and I received very prompt & pleasant responses. A buffet breakfast is included in the room price and it was good, but the coffee was ATROCIOUS (unless you enjoy drinking hot mud). Seriously, it was too vile to drink (it's available in the lobby 24 hours/day at no cost, if you're a masochist). There's free WiFi in the rooms and throughout the hotel (the code is available at the reception desk). The hotel is about a fifteen-minute walk from the train station and we made the mistake of dragging our luggage there when we arrived (which obviously took a lot longer than fifteen minutes). We wisely took a taxi back to the station and it cost 142 NOK (a very expensive indulgence - but my back & knee and my husband's ankle had reached their pain tolerance).

Great workout room and lovely top floor terrace with comfy couches. The staff was very helpful. One difference, no maid service during our stay, they clean the rooms every fourth day but you can grab fresh towels at the front desk. I didn't love the way our room had all lights were on one switch and if you leave the room but want to charge your computer, spend time figuring out how to do that. Most often when you left the room, all electric outlets shut down. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for any person. Young, old, family, LGBT. ITS GREAT.

Comfortable beds which were not too hard or too soft in rooms which were warm, modern and quite trendy. The breakfast buffet had everything a growing boy and girl could ask for, including porridge. The front desk was very helpful with questions that I had regarding directions to other restaurants than their own and the check-in and check-out went fast an pain free. This is a hotel I look forward to staying at again on my next trip to Bergen.

They have umbrellas to rent in the lobby for the rainy Bergen weather along with a kiosk to book a taxi. Our room was average size for Europe and had all basic amenities. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet but the street below is very busy which added some noise. The breakfast was very good and worth booking here just for that feature.

Finding lodging in Bergen is difficult because there's not a ton of availability, it's expensive,…read moreand the downtown / main area is pretty small. We tried many different Airbnbs, hotels downtown were ~$200 (if not more), and were starting to run out of options on places to stay. June is a busy tourist month, so make sure you plan far in advance. We settled on this hotel, but didn't realize quite how far it was from the main area - it's about a 40 minute walk, or a $20 taxi ride from the train station to here (which is about 10 min driving). If you're looking to save money on a hotel by picking this place, just beware there's not a lot of public transit, so what you end up saving you'll end up spending on cabs. The walk is fine - it's flat -- but there's not a ton of stuff to see along the way, and seems fairly deserted. There's not much around this hotel if you're looking for options to eat. We should've just ordered pizza delivery, because by the time we left the hotel to try to find something in walking distance, we ended up having to walk all the way downtown and we were hangry. The hotel itself is fine - it's modern and clean. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is decently sized. The receptionist was gone for 10-15 minutes (or maybe even longer) when we arrived, which was a little bit annoying. There was a sign that said they had stepped away "for a moment", and left a phone number if we needed to reach him/her. Unfortunately, I didn't have WiFi or a cellphone that I could use, so that was of little use. The receptionist was helpful later when I needed a cab ordered for the morning so that we could go to the airport. A cab from the hotel to the airport will run you ~$40. There's was nothing terribly wrong with the hotel, but for $128, I don't think it's worth the price given the location and how far away / expensive it is to where everything is. If you have a rental car, this could work out just fine for you, but make sure you know what you're signing up for if you don't!

This is the bus terminal to board your airport shuttle to get to the airport on Platform N! If you…read morepay by card, someone at the stand will take it and give you a ticket, 115 kr per person. If you pay by cash, you buy tickets from the driver. They offer student tickets too but I'm not sure what the restrictions are. This bus terminal is located next to the train station. Before you can find platform N, there's an electronic map somewhere easily visible telling you how to get there. Basically once you pass the train station, keep walking straight and turn right somewhere. Also, it helps to just follow those with suitcases haha. Didn't take the bus here to elsewhere, but it seems to be a very organized bus terminal with everything laid out. The map is a big plus.
