My husband and I dined at Scarpetta inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel on our recent trip to Las Vegas. I must say, the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered appetizers, entrees and a glass of wine. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Jennifer who had the best smile and personality. She recommended different dishes and even modified my husband's choice of pasta noodle. The manager, Daniel, came by to introduce himself as well, and asked if there was anything else we needed. We told him about how nice his restaurant was compared to a minor problem we had at the hotel buffet. The manager there, Stacy, was very rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. Daniel listened attentively to our issue we had at the buffet and really showed how much he cared about having a positive experience at his restaurant. He exemplified the true meaning of being a manager. He showed leadership and professionalism and clearly understands his role in customer service. The entire dining experience Daniel and Jennifer displayed was just perfect and we look forward to returning to Scarpetta very soon. read more

Absolutely loved Scarpetta! My boyfriend took me here and it was a very nice, romantic restaurant. We even got a nice view of the Strip :) Staff were also incredible and made the whole experience quite enjoyable. My favorite dishes of the night had to be the short rib agnolotti and the duck foie guis ravioli! I'm typically not a huge fan of foie guis, but that pasta definitely changed the name of the game for me. Soo delicious! I also really enjoyed their arancini balls. Would definitely love to come back to try some of their other dishes. I highly recommend! read more

Another "finally" restaurant in Las Vegas. Lovely space, though the bar booths are a bit chilly. Lots of friendly staff working together to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Gabriel took very good care of us. We decided on the $120 Taste of Scarpetta Prix Fixe menu and it was really good. The choices were great. We had: Yellowtail Crudo (5/5) Short Rib Arrancini (4/5) Tomato Spaghetti (4/5) oddly, no one offered us parmesan Tagliolini with Lobster (4/5) $15 upcharge Seared Scallops (5/5) Filet of Beef (4/5) Both pastas were housemade and tasted as such. The yellowtail was the best we had this trip. Everything was crafted, seasoned and plated with care. The dessert platter blew us away! You receive four desserts, smaller portions, but wow you get to try everything! Limoncello cheesecake, Nutella bomboloni, pistachio gelato and salted caramel budino. That budino was heavenly! Would have been nice if one of the managers did a table touch. I'll bring a jacket next time. And oh baby, there will be a next time for sure! read more

Delicious Italian food at the cosmopolitan on the 3rd floor. We were happy with the service and the taste of the dishes we chose. An added bonus is if you dine in the evening during the bellagio water fountain show and score a table by the window with a view. This was the first time I had a bread basket where the assortment had bread rolls with meat and spread layered in them. I think one bread roll even had pesto! How innovative is that? Drinks and appetizer was good. The pasta is made by hand and was delicious. You can never go wrong with a blackness sauce over Papperdelle. We had the AMEX platinum FHR credit so didn't mind the Vegas resort prices. read more

Went on a random Wednesday in July and it was fairly busy in the main dining room. Even when I was finishing up after 9:30, new tables were still being seated while some of the other restaurants on the same level at Cosmopolitan were ghost towns. I went for the Taste of Scarpetta fixed price menu ($120), which gives you four courses. Everything I had was exemplary and I found the portion sizes perfect. I felt like I had plenty to eat but was still ready to attack the blackjack tables. The tuna crudo with chili oil was delightful and so flavorful. My second course was the famous spaghetti, which I would walk over broken glass for. You might think, oh big hooey, spaghetti. But no. Scarpetta's recipe tastes like a summer's day, as though someone went for a walk in their backyard garden picking tomatoes and herbs. This is a must-get; it's simple but perfect. The main entree was skillfully seared scallops with pea puree and sauteed spring vegetables. Dessert is a small sampling for four different sweets. Service was slick and very capable; the decor is restful and comfortable. It's not as showy as many other places at this resort, but everything is tasteful and upscale, and many of the tables in the main room have a great view of the Bellagio fountains next door. I couldn't really find any nits to pick here; I would absolutely return. read more

Scarlett's is definitely an upscale Italian restaurant in the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Handmade pastas are definitely a game changer with the Agnolotti made with short rib, bone marrow , garlic, and horseradish, or spaghetti Scarpetta with incredible simple tomato sauce and fresh basil. The Veal Chop Milanese is a stand out and the presentation is picturesque, fried perfectly and cuts like butter. Full wine list with fantastic options and also half bottles of some great wines as well. Waitstaff is professional but they make you feel rushed. Limoncello cheesecake was delectable and a great finish to the dining experience. Great restaurant to try so wouldn't be going back but glad I went. read more

Visited Scarpetta for the first time in Miami and it was spectacular! Lived the seafood and the polenta was some of the best I've ever had. Last year was in Las Vegas and it again exceeded expectations and I am looking forward to Scarpetta again this October! Service is impeccable and the ambiance is high end quality. read more

Had a great meal here with colleagues this week. Great drinks, appetizers and entrees. The wine list is extensive and the cocktails were delicious! Went there for a dinner. I always like scarpetta and this time was no exception about the excellence of the food itself and the service and n ambience. We started with the tomato and Purata salad. It was well dressed, and the tomatoes were fresh and succulent. Liked the multicolor aspect. The bread was a nice variety of different bread, including some cheese and salami. We also have the Arancini, which was cooked perfectly a beautiful brown sauce in a beautiful Brown sauce The entrée was the signature dish of pasta Pomodoro and it was excellent as always. The bread came in handy to wipe up the sauce. For dessert we shared the Panko Panna cotta Another terrific experience I highly recommend this place. read more

We weren't able to get a window seat as they were fully reserved but I didn't mind the booth seating as a walk in either. Our waiter was attentive and informative. Food came out quick and plates were taken away quickly. Love the assorted bread that they brought over. I was expecting the yellowtail crudo to have a kick to it. Unfortunately, it didn't. The Chilean seabass is always a hit. The texture was soft and they had little bits of sour veggies which I liked. The scampi pasta was good but like ONE prawn?! Just ONE??? We were greeted by a friendly hostess who brought us to a table with a partial view of the Bellagio fountains. First off a complimentary bread basket with side condiments was placed on table. Next our appie of fried calamari came, lightly battered, crispy and moist inside...enjoyable For mains...Scallops--4 fairly big sized scallops sitting on a bed of lightly whipped pea sauce. They all have a browned crust with a jiggling interior. Refreshing indeed The Branzino fish was butterflied, pan fried, a lil mushy flesh. We've made it a tradition to dine here on nearly every trip to Las Vegas, but this past Friday night's visit was nothing like the Scarpetta we've come to know and love. We started with our usual grilled octopus, which unfortunately was dry, chewy, and lacked the flavor we remembered. The short rib arancini was equally disappointing--it was dry, and the short rib filling was virtually nonexistent. The only highlights of the meal were the bread basket and the short rib agnolotti, both of which were excellent and lived up to our expectations. To make matters worse, the table next to us brought in a small dog. I'm a dog lover and even take my own dog to pet-friendly places, but unless it's a legitimate service animal, I don't believe it belongs in what's meant to be a fine dining experience. This was clearly not a service animal, and it distracted from what was already a disappointing evening. After so many wonderful experiences here over the years, this was the first time we've left truly disappointed. I sincerely hope this was just an off night, because Scarpetta has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. read more

The ambiance was nice and high class. It had a huge bar area and there are seats viewing the fountain if you want. Service was good. Our waiter kept checking on us to see if we were good. The server bringing our food also was nice. The food was good. I ordered the scampi and my fiancé order the duck ravioli. Both were good and the bread was good too. We got a bunch of different breads. I really liked their gelato. We got these pastry things with a scoop of their banana gelato and the gelato was super yummy. The water was room temp. That would be my only complaint as I like my water ice cold. Overall it was nice. A bit on the expensive side but this is Vegas so everything is expensive. read more

Lovely Italian spot inside the Cosmopolitan that works just as well for a team dinner as it does for a romantic night out. The vibe strikes that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Everything was delicious, comforting, and exactly what you want after a long, exhausting day at a conference. Small Italian restaurant at The Cosmopolitan. The view was good if you get a chance to see the Bellagio fountain show from your seat, and service was fast. It's a smaller restaurant than others. Limited vegetarian options: spaghetti, gnocchi, and the tableside pasta for two. Prices are steep for pasta. The truffles were blended into the sauce, and if I'm paying a premium for pasta, I want to see the truffles shaved on it. The flavor profile was good but not a restaurant I would be returning to. Apparently the spaghetti is a go-to for people, but it's something I make homemade, so I didn't order it. The braised lamb shank was also ordered and not really enjoyed. I stopped in here for a quick dinner. Since I was dinning alone tonight the options were bar seating only. I came early so there was plenty of space and the bar filled quickly. The menu has many options and everything sounded delicious. I very much enjoyed the Cesar salad the charred lemon added a burst of citrus to the salad and it was lovely. The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly, but that sauce they topped it with was outstanding. It was light and I can't exactly describe the flavors, but an enhancement it was. The only dish I didn't love was the gnocchi. The pasta itself lacked texture it was a little too soft for me, but flavor profile was excellent. As most places in Vegas I recommend a reservation. The bar was extremely busy and the bartender had many rotating guests grabbing drinks so service lacked but understandably so. This was a great place with a great menu, highly recommend making a stop here. read more

This is one of the best hidden gems we came across at cosmo. First, the service was amazing and top tier. The servers are well seasoned and so conversational. My boyfriend treated me to dinner for my birthday weekend here and I was so surprised with how the night went. Our server even split one of our pasta dishes into two plates to share! I thought that was thoughtful of them since they pointed out that we might be swapping and sharing our food. The view made the experience amazing. I will note that I thought we would receive a complimentary dessert for my birthday celebration that day. I noticed that other reviews stated that they received this and a birthday candle. Spaghetti is the star dish. Sea bass was average, not flaky enough though and the cut was not the best. High end modern Italian located at the Cosmopolitan, with pretty nice views of the city. Started with the short rib arancini, really good, almost looked like a large meatball. The calamari fritti was crispy and served with a spicy marinara and aioli dipping sauces. Veal Milanese was tender, and served with a topping of arugula and parmesan slivers, simple but expertly prepared. The gnocchi was served with a mushroom brown butter sauce, very tender and melt in your mouth. The scallops were also tasty, well cooked. The big flavor bomb was the polenta with mushroom fricassee, the polenta by itself was great but the addition of the mushroom sauce elevated it. Worth a visit just to try this dish. Overall great experience, friendly waitstaff and will visit again in the future, most likely for a special occasion. 5 stars read more

Online reservation was easy and you could even put in your food allergies. We started with tuna carpaccio and the capers were yummy. I got the octopus and polenta with truffles. The latter was buttery and filling - I could only have a couple spoonfuls and was full. The gelato was alright. We had 8pm reservations and decided to wait about ten minutes at the bar for a table with a view of the Bellagio fountains, which was absolutely worth it. This time we decided to split multiple pastas and the touch that sets this restaurant apart (besides how delicious the food is) is that they bring the pasta out already split into separate dishes so we don't have to share. It's a simple gesture but a brilliant one. The star of the night was definitely the table-side pasta for two. It was perfectly executed and paired beautifully with the roasted carrots and mushrooms, both of which were excellent sides. Service throughout the evening was top notch. I am accustomed to high-end dining, but my experience at Scarpetta was well below industry standards. From the unprofessional staff to the dry food, the entire evening was deeply unpleasant.To begin, the service regarding dietary restrictions was incredibly uncomfortable. I was asked about food allergies prior to arriving and noted that I am lactose intolerant. Instead of accommodating me gracefully, the staff repeatedly brought it up at the table in a manner that felt like public shaming.The wine service was equally disappointing. The sommelier failed to thoroughly explain the wine list or offer comparable recommendations when asked about bottles not listed. Worse, when we later requested him to return to our table, I distinctly saw him angrily gesture to our server and refuse to come over. This level of blatant disrespect and breach of basic decorum is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone one on the Strip.As for the food, the chicken parmesan was technical failure. It came out incredibly dry along the edges, to the point where I could not even finish it.High-end Vegas restaurants rely on their reputations for premium experiences, but the staff's toxic behavior completely ruined our night. A variety of warm and savory bread - You read that correctly, complimentary - First Class! I ordered : Beef Carpaccio - 5*. The perfect bite of paper thin beef, arugula, caper and crouton. Cleaned the plate. Calamari Fritt - 5*. Hot, crispy - not chewy - with two dipping sauces. A very large portion, definitely meant to share, I couldn't clean that plate! Cavatelli with lamb ragu - 5*. Best pasta I've ever put in my mouth! Thanks to my waiter who chose this dish. The pasta had the right amount chew with a savory ragu with a depth of flavor that is unmatched. I was so full already I sadly could not do that bowl of heaven justice! I loved the experience so much, I have another reservation for my mother/ daughter trip in April.
