Recently purchased a new home on the Jersey Shore in Highlands. This is one of the best landscaping companies I have had the pleasure of working with. Pat is a genuinely nice guy, he is straight forward, honest and will not try to over charge or sell you on something. My first time working with him I wanted to do some serious work on my yard of a new house we just bought. Due to years of the previous owner not maintaining the yard it was literally a half acre of dirt. I had these huge plans in my head that if he just wanted to make money he could have just given me what I thought I wanted and been on his way, instead he assessed the yard and walked me through a better way to handle my situation. The work his crew does is second to none, they are fast, efficient and professional. They guarantee their work and replaced two patches of sod that didn't take for free. DO NOT HIRE this landscaping business. They billed for clean ups that were poorly done. They didn't show up until the middle of the month for 2 lawn cuts. Then they billed me for the whole month so I emailed back requesting a corrected bill. Their response: yeah, we know we only cut twice, but we only bill monthly for 4 weeks. WTH! Who in their right mind pays for 4 weeks for only 2 weekly cuts. I sent them a check for the two cuts and they keep sending a bill for the balance for lawn cuts they know were not done. I met with multiple landscape companies prior to hiring Scenic View and decided to hire them because they took the time to explain the work they were going to perform as well as showing me a 3D design. The owner Frankie is a true gentleman and went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied with the work that was performed. We had Scenic View come to clean up and cut back our yard. They showed up SOONER than expected, weeded the yard, ripped out bushes, trimmed and cut back everything. They cleaned out all the beds and cleaned up everything. The yard looks amazing! The men who came were very polite and professional and on our final walk around the house it was obvious they were very proud of their work, as they should be. I would recommend this company to everyone. They had a big job by me and in the spring they come and just rake my neighbors yard, so they come and do a great job no matter what size it is. read more

They did the original design of my landscaping, under the previous homeowner, so I figured that I would try them for their clean up (weeding/ edging beds) and mulching services. At first look i thought they did a good job but after review I realized the job was it was done cutting corners. I noticed under my arborvitae bushes they only cleaned out and mulched the front section. After less than week I noticed numerous weeds coming through the mulch I thought this was odd so I took a look at my security cameras from when the work was done, as I wasn't home. What I saw was surprising many of the weeds were just covered by new mulch, some were pulled turned over and pushed back into the ground (are you serious). I called and spoke with Gary and advised him of my displeasure. He advised he would come out the following week to take a look. He never showed up. I will not be using them again and would advise to be cautious when using a company that cuts corners. read more
