I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this clinic to you or your loved ones. The overall lack of…read moreconcern or respect from the staff and doctors was overwhelming, and made the procedure that much more difficult to bear. I had a tonsillectomy and struggled with many post-op complications. First, I began projectile vomiting to such an extend that I was rushed to the ER for fluids. Two days later, when the vomiting continued regardless of medication, I was spewing mouthfuls of blood, so much blood. Obviously, this would be terrifying for anyone. When I called the ENT, they told me this "sucks" and I should chew on ice ... I had to contact my previous doctor from out of state who finally talked me through what was happening to my body and why. This outside doctor was finally able to explain the procedure to me, how the recovery process would unfold, what symptoms I would have and why, and took a few minutes to treat me like a real person. Throwing up a sink full of blood is scary enough, but not knowing what is happening only makes it worse - the ENT clinic blew me off. Days later, when I called again, choking back tears from pain, the nurse had the audacity to laugh and tell me I could call back and schedule an appointment if I wanted, but she explained she sees this every day and simply felt no concern. The problem being, I DID have concerns, but she and the rest of the clinic couldn't be bothered to take the time. They belittled me in a time when any patient would feel incredibly vulnerable and simply in pain, looking for solutions or advice. There were multiple instances of this. I would call and leave a message as instructed, and they would take up to 48 hours to get back to me. The bed-side manner leading up to the procedure was short, cold, and clearly uninformative. Even when laying on the operating table, with a male doctor and a female nurse, they pulled at my dress to attach the heart monitors etc. but as a young female, I felt so embarrassed to have my breasts exposed or people's hands on my stomach, yet couldn't move or say anything because of the meds. The utter lack of sensitivity was overwhelming and truthfully, terrifying. Repeatedly, this clinic failed to meet the quality of care standard and you could not pay me to seek their services again. I would strongly caution anyone seeking their "care" to look elsewhere.

Doctors are ok but the staff service is the worst!…read more I had followup needs which they to this day have yet to respond to a call. For two months now I have called, left messages, went there in person asking about my followup I just get completely ignored and rude attitude. I give up with this company. I need additional treatment and even got my insurance to approve the services but I can't get anyone at Scent to even call me back.

Dr. Aaron Hilton performed surgery yesterday, and he did an outstanding job! He makes sure the…read morepatient knows what he will do, what he has done, and what to expect in the near future. He has a good bedside manner. When I was concerned about swelling after surgery, he saw me in his Lexington office the same day. When I couldn't swallow well yet, he asked if I could eat yogurt. Since I am allergic to milk, I did buy coconut yogurt. Just want to make those with lactose intolerance or allergies to milk aware there are alternatives to milk based products, including soy and cashew yogurt. I buy sugar free. His team of nurses, anesthesiologists and ultrasound personnel did a wonderful job! They are very personable, caring, and professional! In my opinion, this is the doctor to see for ENT, and this is the team you want in the operating room. They all represented Prisma Health well! However, post-op the nurse kept yelling at me, "You've got to wake up!" "What month is it?" "February." "No, she shouted, March!" What month is it?" "February." "No" March." She sat watching the monitor, impatient. "You gotta wake up." Sorry, I couldn't and I finally said, "Just get me out of here" because she wanted me gone! Next bed out in the other room my husband and staff were wonderful! I tried to get up and my arms were flailing. I couldn't control them, "Oh no," the staff said. You must wait. I wasn't awake. I've had this problem in the past and was told it's just too much anesthesia. So, I didn't mention it to the staff. But it was impolite to say the least to keep yelling at me. When I went back for swelling, I asked for antibiotics. Since my white blood cell count was high at MUSC ER. Dr. Hilton said it would go away, but it didn't. Urgent Care said "Go back" and gave me medication for inflammation from the surgical intubation and said I needed imaging because he felt something hard. Dr. Hilton believed I had a recent scope maybe somewhere else? It was from the surgery. However, he gave me a refill on the one medication, but forgot the other, and antibiotics. He said I don't need to follow up. But it is still an abnormal collection of fluid and blood, which could be a hematoma that needs draining. So, I said, "Unless this doesn't go away." He said sure, but he is so busy. I waited an hour and 37 minutes, but I understood; he treats a lot of children, and there were babies, one really was needing his help; however, I wish he'd follow up until this lump resolves. He would drain it if necessary, and I followed up if I determined I needed it. Yet, overall, Centa deserves five stars. Nobody's perfect! But this surgeon is close it.

Dr. Giles and Staff have always look out for our well being whether for my Grands or for myself. The quality of care and thoughtfulness of appointments and care checking you in then getting you back in a timely matter. Most of all I appreciate them still being an independent office and hope it will always stay in that position. Thankful for this Practice, Ben E Glover
