I went with a step above what is considered a summer cut . In my opinion , it took off too much hair. I just know what to request on the next visit in 6 to 8 weeks. Maybe longer since the cut was shorter than what I envisioned it would be. Due to COVID 19, there are operating with curbside only. Prior to my visit here , I downloaded their app. Unfortunately, appts can't be scheduled on the app and payments aren't accepted either. Still trying to figure out the purpose of the app , but I'm sure it has it's benefits to some. I like that TDS offers a variety of services for pets and that they are conveniently located right off Hwy 11.

We have had very helpful staff that are friendly, knowledgeable to remind us of upcoming due dates for shots, exams, etc, and what is needed before grooming/boarding. We lost our sweet bunny Thump last month but even the smaller pets are well taken care of when needs arise, thanks to Dr. Grimmett's exotic expertise. He was even on call and was willing to check in by text if in a difficult situation when the office was not open.

I came in with my dogs the other day for fun and to buys some treats. The problem was, when I went…read moreto pay for these treats, the computer glitched and even though the POC swiping part said it was approved, it wasn't coming up on their computer. So they reset everything and told me to try the payment again. And I told them I had already been charged on my account, the amount had been taken off my Apple Pay. She then called Someone over to "fix" the problem. I don't know who the person is, but she was not friendly and maybe shouldn't be working in the front with customers. I was treated like I was being difficult because I didn't want to get charged twice. I ended up swiping again, because I'm not trying to steal anything, but then the transaction was showing up twice on my account. I was assured that it would fall off, any extra pending payments do.(Also, I heard them talking about how often they're having computer problems, so it's not a new issue.) And if it didn't, I just have to come in and they'll fix it. Great. Now I'm left with an errand and unfinished business. Big surprise, I just had to go in again today to get the refund since they indeed left the charge on t here. Except now I have to sit here watching my account to make sure it does show up. I'm guessing if it doesn't, I'll need to make a call. Oh, and the "fixer" was there again. About as helpful as she was the first time, didn't make eye contact with me and was non apologetic for the waste of my time. I'd advise people to buy from any other place, no point in going to brick and mortar stores if you're not getting good customer service anyways.

Then I arrived today 10 minutes early for my appointment and met Dee. The first thing out of her mouth wasn't a pleasant greeting it was you are early. Now I see the problem after my two verbal Interactions with her today about my dog Oreo. Why would someone want to be a dog groomer that doesn't appear to even like dogs. She never spoke to my dog. Acted like she was put out that we were even there. I asked her to call a certain number when she was finished. She didn't. She called the wrong number. So when I didn't hear from her. I called at the 3 hour mark. She starts the conversation with well your appointment was at 945. What does that have to do with is my dog ready? Don't send your dogs here if Dee is the groomer. No manager in site either. I just hope she wasn't ugly to my dog for the 3 hours he was there.

It's good to see that grooming services are available. My dog has a groomer but it's always good to have a back up when needed. I despise PetSmart so that particular chain of pet stores is never an option for me. I'm really glad to have a Petco near by to meet my pet's needs. I'll definitely be visiting more often!

My dog, Nina, has been a patient of Trussville Animal Hospital since February of 2025…read more A little background on the patient Trussville Animal Hospital (TAH) has been treating. Nina is considered a giant breed & is also considered a senior dog. She weighs about 132 lbs. Nina's first veterinarian at TAH was Dr. Kelly Bauuman. She was excellent. Dr. Bauuman retired this May (2026). She did a phenomenal job of treating and caring for Nina. Knowing that Dr. Bauuman was retiring soon, Nina switched to Dr. Zach Toves so that he could monitor her symptoms past Dr. Bauuman's projected retirement date at the time. Dr. Zach Toves joined Trussville Animal Hospital as a veterinarian in January of 2026. My senior, Great Dane, Nina, has been seeing Dr. Toves since his first week at TAH. Dr. Toves formed a treatment plan for Nina's extensive arthritis (back, hind legs, and hips). The treatment plan is a relatively new approach to treating arthritis. Some of the things I appreciate about Nina's care from Dr. Toves are how he discussed different treatment options and made sure I understood any risks or potential outcomes, and how he addressed difficult topics with an empathetic spirit and with what was genuinely best for Nina, my dog. Dr. Toves is always putting the patient first. Dr. Toves has given me more time with my dog, whom I cherish, and has given Nina a lot more time to enjoy life. Nina's arthritis symptoms were debilitating. Under Dr. Zach Toves' care, Nina's symptoms are minimal now. She is able to play and run as she did prior to arthritis. She is aging with grace & I am thoroughly ecstatic about the results of this relatively new treatment for arthritis.
