The reason that the owner employs black females to work the floor is simple; black women are more familiar with hair products used by black females. As a Black woman I recognize that our hair is very different from that of Asians so although an Asian may be the business owner, he would not necessarily know what products are recommended for the many different types of textures and styles of Black hair. I have been patronizing this business for at least 8 years and I find it to be well stocked and have never had a problem with the owner. Whenever I have asked for help he has either pointed me in the right direction or asked his employee to assist me. I have never been followed around the store in suspicion as suggested by some reviewers. The fact is that Asian personalities are generally more reserved than Americans are used to. Asians business owners are not going to greet you first or be forward in any way; that is not in keeping with their culture.
