This is a fun Roadside attraction that is worth a detour and it is indeed a long route off of the interstate. We love places like this though this one has a few less art pieces then others but it still was very creative. read more

This is a very cool roadside attraction that you can visit for free. Schaefer's Auto Art is a collection of artworks that are made out of old cars and car parts. There is a place along the roadside that you can pull over and park, and then you can walk around and look at the various pieces of art. There is a big spider made out of a Volkswagen Beetle, a stinging insect made out of a Saab and a cement mixer, there is a big rocket ship, a flying helicopter boat, and even a man made out of a Subaru engine (among other things). Check out the pictures I posted to see what they look like, and if you get a chance, visit this place in person. I happened to visit in the Autumn, and as an added bonus, everything was decorated for Halloween . . . Cheers!! read more
