There was no indigo or chapters and I am 44 years old now I've been able to read since I was five so for 39 years I've been buying books here. They have a wide selection of any kind of book you can imagine, with the exception of you know naughty stuff but through my years of ageing I know that I've gone from kids books to teenager books to young adult books every kind of book you can imagine I mean I like to read more than I like to watch TV there's something about a real book, smell of the pages and the ink. I think that plays a big role and putting you to sleep, when you read because when I read on my phone I don't get that. It's wrong as books are printed on paper. I will always buy them that way and this bookstore and I know I name three but they're all the same the best the absolute best, even when I lived in Toronto, I still went to chapters you get awesome deals awesome people that work there. I've never really had a problem with any employee so you got your customer service. You got your good deals and you got absolutely an unlimited amount of books and if you can't get your book in store well, you can get it online and have it delivered to the store for free, and if you order over a certain amount and gets $35, then they'll deliver it to your house for free. Either way you will get your book and at a reasonable price.

Yesterday, I had the very good fortune to talk with Jodi. She halped me with some information I was needing. When asked, she then took me to 3 books she highly recommended. We got into an in depth discussion re favourite books. She was very animated and eager to share her thoughts about her favourite books. I loved the experience and bought one of the books she recommended. When I went to the cash, I was speaking with the associate and she eagerly recommended a series of books I never would have known about had she not mentioned it. She directed me where to go in the store to find. It. I regret I forgot to get her name. I had a wonderful time browsing but these 2 women made my experience there even better by their service, their eagerness to recommend books and to discuss their plots, etc. I would highly recommend this store for many reasons and top of the list is the service from the associates. I love the personal touches like staff picks on the books with the associates name. I also love that each staff member has a features recommended book with a handwritten note of their comments for their choice. Ita a large store however the service and personal touches make it so enjoyable to go in store to browse and buy things and to I teract with the staff. Not this gs you can find when shopping online.

I'm a little disappointed by my recent experience with this store. I placed an order for Magic…read moresingles on February 27th, which I didn't get a shipping notice (or any other information) for until March 10th. As of March 23rd, I still haven't received the cards, which I now presume are lost. I'm in Québec, so they didn't have to travel far. This has been frustrating, because they had several cards I couldn't find anywhere else, albeit at slightly higher prices than normal.

If I don't find the record that I want one week, I'll probably find it the next! My only complaint would be there hours. They aren't open on Monday or Tuesday, and close at 6:00 every other day. Really solid store overall!

Their prices are actually pretty reasonable compared to the record shops in the bigger cities. If you're in the market for old 45 singles, you're in luck because SecondSpin has a huge assortment. Don't go there if you don't have a lot of time (or patience) on your hands though. The 45s are scattered all over the store with no rhyme or reason as to how they're situated (condition, genre, price, used or new.) After a bit of digging, I got frustrated and moved on. I didn't feel like getting down on my knees to sort through the unalphabetized singles in the milk crates on the floor. SecondSpin dudes, if you're reading this - organize your 45s and pick them up off the floor. Also, the store doesn't have bags. You'll have to bring your own. It was raining the day I was in there so I asked for a bag for my purchases. The counter guy looks at me blankly and says "I have no bags, man." He said this as if I was already supposed to instinctively know this. So I had to put the records under my shirt so they wouldn't get wet. I'm giving them three out of five for their reasonable prices and diversity of stock. I can live with the byob policy but I shouldn't have to bring kneepads to search their stock. Sort it out, guys.
