We ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa (basically a traditional Masala Dosa smeared with a extra chilli tomato paste) and a Lamb Roti Murtabak which came with a bowl of fragrant lamb & chicken coconut curry. The food was sensational!! The flavours were authentic and everything tasted like it had been freshly made from scratch (instead of the usual commercial curry paste/sauces). The dosa and the murtabak was as good as or probably even better than anything we've eaten in India or Malaysia!! We'll definitely be back to try some things! Santoshi House carries a decent range of Indian groceries; there are legumes, seeds, spices, pappadams and those delicious chutney blends that make fantastic accompaniments to curries. If I can buy goat meat from the butchers, I'll come here to pick up a curry paste and some additional spices. I'm salivating thinking of a spicy goat curry with pappadams, mango chutney and fresh rotis. That's about the limit on my Indian cuisine repertoire. There are lots of ingredients at Santoshi that I wouldn't have a clue how to use. The staff are pretty friendly though so I'm sure they would help me if I asked.
