My two and four year old attend here. My son is a busy body, who also has a speech delay and Ms. Cynthia handles him so well I am super blessed to have her as his teacher. I would not recommend this location to anyone. My son (15…read moremonths) attended this location for a total of 5 days. In this 5 days he received a total of 12 diaper changes. I always thought maybe they were just skipping logging them into the family app until we picked up his bag the day we took him out of their care.(May 28th) A total of 12 diapers missing from the package we gave them. 11 documented changes and one undocumented when we picked him up on the 26th of May at approximately 5:30. This appears to be the only change he had that day. Resulting in a serious diaper rash. On May 27th we noticed a large bite mark on his BACK (Broken skin) when we went to bath him at home. No contact from the care center until we called to ask what happened. I went in on the 28th to discuss this with the director where I was told she was allowed 24 hours to notify me. She chalked up the reason for not notifying me to being short staffed. I also firmly believe he was not getting fed the appropriate amount as when he came home he devoured absolutely anything he could get his hands on. This with his changed behavior at home after being with them for the day irritable, angry, fussy, and screaming more than he does, leads me to believe this place needs to be looked into. When I brought up the concerns with the director she stated that we could move him if we didn't feel he was getting the care he needed instead of addressing the issues. Her main excuse was lack of staff. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for proper care when it comes to your little one.

Hey everyone, I just…read morewanted to say a few words about A Garden For Children. I saw a recent review that wasn't so positive, and honestly a little shocked by the negative one. I wanted to share my experience because it's been totally different. The Director, Carolyn A. Hunter, is seriously the best. Mrs. Hunter is the real deal & she's no joke when it comes to your child. You can tell she genuinely cares about all the kids and their families, and it shows in everything she does. The teachers are all awesome too - super patient, kind, and always up for some fun learning activities & Trips. Don't let one bad review fool you - this daycare rocked! For 13 years, the A Garden For Children has been a cherished space for children to connect with other children and learn valuable skills. While its closure is a loss, A Garden For Children legacy of fostering a love for learning will live on in the hearts of many. Their motto: "We Plant The Seed Of Knowledge- So Your Child Can Grow. Yes, he was held accountable if he did, but in an appropriate way. When we asked him at 3-4yo who loved him, he said his mom, me and his papa, and Ms. Hunter and Mr. Damian, and Keke and his other teachers. He knew without a doubt they loved him. He was more than a number to them, he was family. I can't say enough about how great this place was for him. He moved there from one of the most expensive and well-known daycares around...they were great with a good curriculum, but he never expressed feeling love there...and never wanted to go and not go home like he did at Garden for Children. This worked wonderfully for our family.

They pay competitive wages and have several benefit packages. The owners even chose to be corporate partners with the TEXAS T.E.A.C.H Scholarship program, which allows all staff to take early education college courses including at the university level at zero cost to the staff. Plus the owners give financial incentives for completing courses. The O'Connor's care about the education and careers of their staff, often promoting leadership from within and providing an opportunity for personal and professional growth for every teacher. I highly recommend this work place.

The teachers work really hard and are not compensated considering how high the tuition is. There were frequently issues that parents weren't informed of that as a parent I would want to know but it was an administrative decision. From a parent perspective it is great. But because I worked there to afford the tuition; I could not ignore how the staff was being treated many women were too scared to say anything for fear of being written up. I truly hope things have improved ,but I ethically cannot support a business that doesnt pay their excepcional teachers a living wage.
