Unfortunately,​ there are too many staff members taking their position "just as a job" and let you feel it. Last year, we had a huge DHL convention right outside our rooms and it was a major distraction to us and more to our clients. The hotel did not care - no one even showed up or apologized. All in all, it's an OK hotel - however, to me they need to speed up the game. As I said, we took our business to another hotel in Dresden for 2021. Others may do too.

I was here with my partner and friends for christmat market at the weekend. And we were staying in the really nice rooms. The room that we were staying was really big. It even got the small room just for the luggages and cloths. The view from our vindow was quite nice as well. The TV was a bit hidden. It took some seconds to find it. But the room did make me feel really comfortable. The breakfast of the hotel was really great, it offered quite a lot different food to choose from. The design of the place it really gave me warm feeling at the same time really classy. The chistmas decorations were all around the place, really nice atmosphere in the air. I didn't find that one point a bit inconvenient, it really took a while to get back to our room. Basically, I had to walk around the whole place to get there. And even they offered free internet, which was great, but it was really slow. But at the end of the day, I think, I could oversee that on my review. We all had a great time and enjoyed our staying at this hotel very much. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I am glad that we were able to stay here in the hot holiday timing. Brilliant!

Tastefully decorated, delicious breakfast, a welcoming plate of chocolates in the room - couldn't ask for a more romantic stay. The service is 5-star and prompt. The wine they paired with our meal was delightful and bold. The outdoor patio was beautiful with the flowers and green garden area with a beautiful statue nearby of a female. The beds themselves in the attached Schloss weren't comfortable and the dog friendly room we stayed in wasn't comfortable becauee there was no air flow in May. It was stagnant and humid. We could barely sleep. I would recommend bringing a fannif you do stay. However the castle grounds are pretty and it is attached to the castle next to it within walking distance through a garden. The price is on par with the location and service. The tram is very close and was very easy to maneuver.

The location of the hotel is very conveniently located near shops, stands, and restaurants in a large shopping plaza just outside the door - which is just a huge pedestrian zone. You're only a 5 minute stroll away from a multistory shopping mall. Okay... let's call out the elephant in the room: These hotel rooms are designed for exhibitionists. Perhaps newlyweds on their honeymoon or lovebirds in the deep throes of passion? They have to be. How does one explain the entire exterior facing wall being a giant glass window and then the shower also essentially being a giant glass cube open to the entire room? You'll want to make sure all the drapes are securely attached and then closed properly, if the person you are sharing a room with is one you would rather not see in their birthday suit. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel. The fitness center was a bit depressing looking and lacking in equipment but the space is large. Be warned that the strange key you use to open the fitness center door - the knob you put the key on is the knob you turn to open the door, not the other knob that looks much more like an actual door knob. It took me 5 embarassing minutes to figure that out. Anyway, the breakfast buffet was great. Wi-Fi is available but pricey and they have a business center where they'll offer you 15 minutes of use on the business center machines for free - via an access code that you have to get from the front desk for every 15 minutes that they have to sign you in for each time. I guess the goal there is to get you to pony up the euros and buy Wi-Fi. Just remember to close the drapes. For the sake of all Dresdeners who are not into voyeurism, close the drapes.
