One of the greatest Franconian biergarten. This place epitomizes the German country-living at its best! Their fried chicken (haehnchen) is one of the best around, and it's so reasonable. It's a biergarten-style restaurant, so you usually order, pay and wait for food before you sit down to eat. I think I usually spent less than 10 euro for everything I ate and drank. It's very helpful if you spoke some German, but you can manage because they are so polite, kind and accommodating--they appreciate you just trying your German. You may not be able to find this place if you didn't know where you were going. I suggest to just put the address in the GPS and go. There are plenty of seating outside if the weather is nice. I think they usually close during winter season for holidays and improvements/renovations. During the cold season when they are open, the indoor restaurant portion is open. It's like a normal restaurant then. You choose your seat and order. As a common experience, you may have to share a table with someon since it's a very popular place and gets very crowded especially on the weekend. Also, as usual cash only. read more
