Unfortunately Attorney Fairweather passed away a few months later. I requested to meet with a new attorney at Hawks Quindel. The firm made me pay an additional consultation fee to meet with the second attorney, which I thought was odd. After less than an hour in the office, the second attorney told me that I didn't have a case. Not only was I out one, but two consultation fees, and left exactly where I started. Today, I read an article where an attorney at Hawks Quindel is representing a volunteer who is suing a non-profit organization (a volunteer rescue squad) because he felt that he should be paid for his volunteer service. While I wholeheartedly agree that Paramedics deserve good pay, that volunteer KNEW what he was signing up for when he applied to be a volunteer. After looking into said volunteer, I see that he has felony convictions for Medicare fraud, in which he was ordered to pay over a MILLION dollars in unearned fraudulent claims. So he turns to suing a volunteer run ambulance service to pay back his debts? I don't think so. Hawks Quindel should be ashamed of themselves for representing a professional con artist.
