The cashier/barista greeted is and told us she was at the rodeo late last night and still a bit out of it (it's 3pm). All we wanted were lattes and she seemed confused when I told her I prefer no foam. About 5 mins later she brought out the drinks. My son had a brown sugar sweet cream cold brew and loved it. My husband and I both ordered latte. They were double shots, he got whole milk and I got oat milk. Each "latte" was about 4oz including the shots and milk. The flavor of coffee was extremely mild. We love boutique coffee shops but unfortunately, we won't be returning to this one. It's barely a step above starbucks if that and more expensive.

I give it a 2-star though, because the coffee is way overpriced for what you get and there's a lack of attention. We talked with the gal at the counter about recommendations, and said we don't like syrups because they are too sweet. My husband ordered a cold brew and I ordered a large cappucino. What did we get? He took a sip of the cold brew and was shocked at how sweet it was, and she said "Isn't it good? We make it with a syrup." And my "large" cappucino was a teeny tea cup. Our 2 pastries and 2 coffees came to $22; I know the pastries were $4 each (and delicious), so the coffees were $14?! We like to support small local businesses, but that's just unrealistic pricing.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was only one night, but I was able to get some much needed sleep!…read more The place was fairly quiet. I did hear some slamming doors, but I think that's more of a inconsiderate person issue, rather than a structural issue. First appearance is nice. Ample parking, nice building, inside and out, and the customer service was great. I was checked in quickly, and was able to lay my head on a soft pillow in a matter of minutes. I slept good! The rooms are of average size with a microwave, mini fridge, TV, and free Wi-Fi. The following morning, the free hot breakfast was great! It really hit the spot. Decent value!

I ended up having to drive an extra hour and 45 minutes because the hotel had no hot water. The desk clerk was very friendly and tried to be as helpful as she could, but when I arrived there were no alternate reservations made for me, no offer to match the price at this hotel at another nearby hotel, nothing. After flying all day then driving for 2 hours, I was greeted with news that I didn't have a place to stay. I asked the desk clerk if she would attempt to work out a matching rate at another hotel and she informed me This hotel is privately owned. This tends to be a go-to disclaimer at smaller mainstream hotels these days. Fortunately, I was able to get a reservation at hotel in Austin Texas, but that was another 1 hour and 40 minutes driving. How this hotel could have qualified for a three-star review, have an alternate plan for the guest who has a reservation. Don't simply tell the guest, there's nothing they can do You're out of luck.

Beautiful beautiful restaurant in the heart of Round Top…read more Classy, charming, beautiful. We came to celebrate my friends birthday, I will highly recommend doing a reservation. They have a very nice set up when you walk in on your right hand side they have the gorgeous bar, then on your left you walk into the main dining room, they have a second bar with tables and they have a patio. Also, they have a lower level with tables and a cellar. The cocktail Manuel is not too extensive, but they have the basic stuff. I order a French 75, but it wasn't of my liking, and I switched it for an Afro spirit, which was very good. We only ordered the bread service, which I will tell you this is one of the best bread that I have tried, is soft fluffy, and sweet. They bring it with a side of butter and olive oil oil. I ordered the Caesar salad and I was blown with the flavor. It's very unique because they are the letters and they make their own Caesar dressing it was outstanding. I ordered the carbonara pasta, it was OK nothing extraordinary, my friend ordered the Wago steak, this was not a Japanese Wagyu, it was about $100 and it was massive, the flavor was OK but nothing outstanding. I do not recommend to get the Wago. The chicken mayonnaise was very good tho. Service was good, but I would say overall the food is just gay the start of the night with the Caesar salad.

The food was just okay, we got pepperoni pizza, spinach dip and meatballs. I would recommend trying other items on the menu than what I listed.
